Looks like having 6 kids is effecting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie the same way as it does the rest of the world.... who would have thought!  Amusingly, the big news this morning is that Brad and Angie are having trouble getting alone time and that they are "exhausted".  Everyone is making this out to be a BIG DEAL, but it sounds to me like every other family that decides to have children.

Angelina was interviewed for her upcoming movie, Changeling, where she had this to say...

“We often try and have a bath alone together at the end of the night and sit and talk, but they hear the water and want to jump in. Even if we lock our door, the children come knocking.”When quizzed on her plans to marry Pitt she replied: “You’ll have to ask Brad.”

Yup!  Sounds normal to me! 

The Saint and the future leaders of the world are back in New Orleans, where they were spotted taking a stroll on October 6th.

Your worst fear is anything happening to your kids. The reason I didn’t want to do the film for a long time … every day I came home, and I was so clinging to my kids. I was grabbing them. And checking them in the night. It scares me.

Not nervous as much as I just took a deep breath because it¹s been so long. It felt a little strange.

Everybody’s great. The babies are getting big and healthy and developing personalities. We are a little bit [sleep deprived]. We have some help a couple of nights a week, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep.

I run around with all the other kids, and I’m breastfeeding, which I think is a part of your body’s recovery. I feel great [and] feel very happy that they’re healthy.

I am sad because People older than me hark: you are still in your twenties; the WORLD, it is your oyster! But what they don’t realise is that living in your twenties is no longer a happy place. It is No longer a happy place for me or for my friends or for anyone that I know for a matter of fact.

Yes, I am sad because I do not know what I want to do today or tomorrow. I am sad because the only things that make me happy are reality TV shows. I am sad because Simon Cowell is my idol and not Barack Obama. I am sad because I live in a time when Noel Edmond’s opinion seems to matter more than that of Nelson Mandella or any other leader for that matter. Yes, I am sad. I am sad. I am sad.

I am sorry that I have to be sad. I never meant to upset anyone with it. But in this day and age, it seems quite frowned upon, despite, the likes of our dearest ambassador, Stephen Fry. Our collective sadness seems to be a talking point for all but a day and than descends, into unconsciousness.

I am sad about a lot of things really. I am sad that Cheryl Cole is so loved by the British nation. Instead, I wish she would go back to beating people up in public toilets. I am sad that Simon hasn’t learned from his X Factor experience and is letting a fourth judge onto American Idol. Yes, I am sad, I am sad, I am sad.

I am sad that I am not a Jew, since all of them seem to love each other so much. I wake up everyday hoping that I’ll fall in love with one. I do, after all, posses a very convincing white man’s fro! This is something that doesn’t make me feel so sad.

But then again, I am sad because I eat so much chocolate cake, especially when I am so ready to admit to the fact that I find chocolate quite unpleasant. Like coffee, I find it loathsome, but somehow I’ll manage to find a way to drink and eat it anyway.

I am sad because I am not cooler than I am. I am sad because I don’t know how to make my sadness seem as hip as Angelina’s or Sylvia’s or Anne’s or anyone of the like.

I am sad because I don’t have a 6-pack or an 8-pack, but a one-pack: A Lurpack.

I am sad because even when my friends tell me I look good, that I always somehow manage to realise that their complement is but a mere fact of relativity. Circumstances would differ if my best buds were: Brad, George and Ben.

I am sad that this fact makes me want to go to the gym tomorrow and that it makes me stop eating for at least twelve hours. I am sad, that after those twelve hours, I will want to eat again with a voracious angst that is hardly justified.

I am sad because I am not allowed to feel sorry for myself because there are starving kids in Africa. I am sad because, despite my best efforts, I can’t really do anything to help those starving kids and so I have to go back to feeling sorry for myself, albeit with an improved sense of worth and a bit more consciousness.

I am sad that this isn’t really a poem or a work of art or anything of substance.

I am sad that this may be deemed by some as post-modern.

I am sad because I am still awake…after all these years.

I am waiting for this sadness to turn into anger, but it doesn’t.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted at the premiere of Brad's new movie Changeling at the New York Film Festival over the weekend. It's Angie's first public appearance since the birth of the couple's twins, so of course, there was only one question on everyone's minds. With the fifth and sixth members of the Jolie-Pitt clan upon us, is it time to start wrapping it up... quite literally in Brad's case.

When asked by The Daily Mail whether she was done having kids, Ang said that even though she is exhausted, she isn't ready to stop popping them out yet.

She also opened up about her alone time with Brad, saying 'We often try to have a bath alone together at the end of the night and sit and talk, but they hear the water and want to jump in." Oh I say! To be a Jolie-Pitt, eh? I say keep 'em coming. Fill the world with Jolie-Pitts.

The new mum comes out of hiding in New York...

Angelina Jolie has made her first public appearance since giving birth at the premiere of her new film The Changeling.

The new mum showed off her flawless figure in a fitted black strapless dress, accompanied by partner Brad Pitt.

Reports claimed that Angelina had spiralled into post-natal depression since the birth of Knox and Vivienne in July, but she showed no signs of fatigue as she confidently posed for the cameras and chatted to the press in New York.

However, she did admit that looking after a brood of six was tiring.

“We are a little bit (sleep deprived). We have some help a couple of nights a week, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep,” she told People.com.

“I leave work and I go right home to the kids and I’m always checking on them in the middle of the night.”

But, despite this, the actress insists she is revelling in the joys of motherhood:

“Everyone’s great. The babies are getting big and healthy and developing personalities,” she enthused. ...more

The new mom, who has joked that he would like to have a full soccer team of kids, would stop at a half-dozen, said over the weekend that there's no stopping in the near future.

"We are going to have more kids," revealed the Oscar winner. "One way or another."

Don't assume that Angie is completely overwhelmed with six monkeys, she says,

"I feel great. I feel very happy that they’re healthy... Everybody’s great! The babies are good and getting big and healthy and developing their personalities."

Even thought the family recently relocated to Berlin, Angelina, who says she spends her free time at home "just running around with the kids," is looking forward to returning to their home in France.

"We love France. We’d like to spend more time there again. We’ve got a lot of wonderful friends. We love the air, and the life, and the other children we met. It was a beautiful, beautiful quality of life and beautiful place to live."

World of Warcraft meets Lord of the Rings in this retelling of the classic Old English epic using motion capture technology.

The story is set in Heorot, in ye olde Denmark, where King Hroðgar (Anthony Hopkins) reigns. One night, the King and his thanes are raucously celebrating their victories in the mead (beer) hall when they unwittingly awaken their neighbour, Grendel (Crispin Glover), the village monster and long-time curse for the King. Grendel pays them a surprise visit, and rather than tell them to keep the noise down, tears the hall (and its folk) to bits.

What they need is a hero — enter Beowulf (Ray Winstone), a hero from Geatland. Beowolf succeeds in ridding the village of Grendel, but the nightmare has only just begun, with the vengeful wrath of Grendel's dragon mother (Angelina Jolie) now inflamed. Beowulf faces the challenge of seduction and not physical prowess — question is, will he succeed?

Review

Having not read the epic, I'm not in a position to comment on the film's interpretation of the story, and the poem has been the subject of literary debate spanning centuries (including Lord of the Rings, J R R Tolkein). There's obviously quite a modern edge in this retelling, with its emphasis on the power of seduction (loving Jolie's liquid gold stiletto feet). I also understand there's been some not insignificant tweaking of the original plot.

The movie is a fantastic morality tale about the power of seduction and the true values of heroism. The hero here is fabulously human and famously flawed. These are inspiring threads in the film.

Like director Robert Zemeckis' other film, The Polar Express, Beowulf is filmed entirely using motion capture technology. This film really needs to be viewed as an animation to be truly appreciated. If you go looking for any realism, it will fall apart at the seams. The film is like a beautifully illustrated hard cover version of a classic tale. Motion capture also allows for some impressive camera movement, special effects and a complete makeover for normally tubby Ray Winstone.

Aside from that, Beowulf comes packaged with all the stunning features you'd expect from an epic — Wagnerian soundtrack, sweeping landscapes, raging beasts and an eye for historical detail (there's some great illustration of life in the Viking age). A little unsuitable for younger audiences, however, with an ample share of gore and violence (Viking age).

It's captivating, edge of the seat stuff.

We can look forward to a lot more from motion capture technology. Zemeckis is currently working on another classic tale — Dickens' The Christmas Carol (for release in 2009). Director Tim Burton (Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands) will also use motion capture technology to produce a animated version of another modern epic — Alice in Wonderland.
