BTW I am making it know to all that I HATE Palin. She is an awful person to represent all women. She is of course what the GOP think a women should be. A bikini wearing, gun toting, babe that pops out babies and looks good doing it and if she can bring then the bacon home then good for that. I am looking at the results of a recent highly scientific study titled "Bikinis Instigate Generalized Impatience in Intertemporal Choice." After men were allowed to fondle lingerie and look at a video of hundreds of breathtakingly sexy women stampeding through a jungle in skimpy swimsuits, the study found, the men's judgment became impaired.

Once aroused, they were less likely to cut shrewd deals in simple business negotiations. Now, I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that these results are about as scientifically surprising as proving that when a person falls down, he goes boom. This was my view, too, until I called my friend Gina Barreca, the feminist scholar. Unlike me, Gina has a real education, advanced degrees and an actual work ethic.
So, unlike me, Gina read the whole study, including the fine print and prior papers from the same researchers.

Gina: OK, this is fascinating! Gene: It is? Couldn't you have predicted this result? Gina: Of course I could have predicted it. Gooba the cavewoman could have predicted it, and she probably did. She sat around with the other female Neanderthals, giggling and bragging: "Watch. Me bend over, me make Oog stupid." Gene: So ... ? Gina: So it's not the conclusion that's interesting, it's the methodology. Gene: Well, in one test, men were offered a small amount of money immediately or an opportunity for a larger amount if they waited. In another, two men try to outthink each other in a game of financial chicken. In each case, after guys got besotted by bikini bobble, they made careless, impulsive, unwise choices compared with the control groups, plus or minus the standard deviation. Gina: Zzzzzz. Gene: You said the methodology was interesting! Gina: You might as well have been explaining the rules for icing the puck. No, you missed the headline, because it was in the fine print. The scientists also discovered that the more highly sexed a man is, the more susceptible he will be to the bikini effect. Gene: Stands to reason. Gina: I'm not finished. What's really interesting is how the scientists measured which man was more highly sexed than the other. They did it by comparing the length of each man's pointer finger to the length of his ring finger. Gene: What? Gina: Apparently, this is valid science! A male with a comparatively longer ring finger was exposed to less estrogen in the womb, so, as an adult, he is more of a ticking testosterone bomb. These are the guys who most often lose their business acumen when confronted with a coquettishly elevated thigh. Gene: My ring finger is a lot longer than my pointer. Gina: I'm not surprised. I have personally observed your behavior in the presence of visible panty lines. My point is that the only reason this finger-ratio disclosure was not on Page 1 of The Washington Post and did not lead the nightly news on every network is that the media are still run by men. No one understood the raw power this information delivers to women. Or they understood it quite well and wished to withhold it. Gene: What do you mean? Gina: We're now armed with critical information! In a bar, men will think we're scoping out whether they're wearing wedding rings, but instead we'll be figuring out which of them can be most quickly induced to buy us a house. Gene: I feel like a traitor to my sex. Gina: You're thinking like a man. You should start thinking strategically, like a woman. In the last week, Palin has dealt with the following:

(1) claims that she pretended her daughter's baby was actually hers (utterly baseless);

(2) claims that she illegally or unjustly fired a state trooper (who merely placed a taser on his 11 year old son);

(3) claims that she had been photographed nude (right, Julia Louis Dreyfus?);

(4) claims that she's been photographed in a bikini (Wouldn't THAT be awful? No, but fear not. A software program called Photoshop is really amazing.);

(5) has had to watch her teen daughter's name dragged through mud.

None of that has stuck to the wall, the public sees through this transparency, and so the latest tale is Palin's supposed infidelity .

Once dispelled, expect the next accusation to be that Palin removed the "DO NOT REMOVE" tag from her mattress.

McCain campaign calls Palin affair 'vicious lie.'

John McCain's campaign is denying a tabloid report that vice president candidate Sarah Palin had an extramarital affair. "It's a vicious lie," spokesman Steve Schmidt said.

The campaign is considering legal action, the senior adviser added.

The National Enquirer wrote in its edition dated Sept. 15 that Palin had an affair with a business associate of her husband, Todd Palin. He discovered the infidelity and dissolved the business, the article said. It attributed the allegation only to "an enemy" of the Alaska governor.

"The smearing of the Palin family must end," Schmidt said in a statement released Wednesday. "The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Gov. Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false."

So, after yesterday's cliffhanger, did I manage to go for that run yesterday? No. So I'm taking that as a sign that it's not a good idea to enter that 10k race after all. On the plus side, I did go to Body Pump at lunchtime today. Maybe that's a sign I should enter a weight lifting tournament instead.

Début des cours, début des gaffes !
J'entre en retard dans le local de mon premier cours. Vérification faite avant d'entrer, bien sûr ! Je m'assoie à un bureau, jette un oeil au syllabus et lit ''Histoire du Ve jusqu'au XVe siècle''. Hein ? J'ai un cours de phonétique. Ah, peut-être que c'est une partie du cours ! Sans me poser davantage de questions, j'écoute le professeur. Le doute s'installe. Suis-je au bon endroit ? Oui, bon local, bonne heure. Je regarde la fille derrière moi et lui demande s'il y a eu un changement de salle de classe. Voilà. Effectivement, il y avait eu un échange de locaux. Bref, quittant la salle de 200 personnes, je me suis rendue au bon cours un petit peu gênée quand même...

Mon premier cours m'a rassuré quant à l'université. Je sens déjà que j'adorerai ce cours où l'on abordera les questions phonétiques du français, du mongol et du latin, sans compter que nous avons à apprendre le cyrillique. Ça ne me sera pas difficile. J'ai appris le cyrillique pour passer le temps chez ma mère Noël dernier. Il suffit de me rafraîchir la mémoire et tout ira bien. N'empêche que d'avoir des bases de phonétique et de cyrillique me rassure. Je ne pars pas de zéro.

Nous sommes plus de cent cinquante dans mon programme, dont une large majorité désire devenir orthophoniste. Je me demande combien traverseront le BAC et pourront seulement appliquer la demande d'inscription ? Croisons les doigts pour que j'en fasse parti !

S'il n'était pas si tard, je vous endormirais avec mes turlupitudes qui me hantent. Mais il est tard, remarquons-le, quand j'ai à me lever à 7h demain, que j'ai 3h de cours pour commencer la journée suivi de 8h 30 de boulot. Un verre ensuite, quelqu'un ? Profitez, mon horaire se remplit si vite que je me demande quand j'aurai le temps de souffler entre le boulot, l'école, les lectures, les soirées universitaires, les concerts, le sport et les amis en visite...

Vendredi, six heures de cours m'attendent. Je pense que je travaille en soirée. À vérifier. Puis, samedi, je travaille toute la journée. Carl arrivera vers 23 heures pour me rendre visite jusqu'au lendemain. Sa présence me fera du bien malgré tout. J'ai besoin d'une personne avec qui je peux discuter et avec qui je peux risquer de pleurer sans me heurter à un mur de panique. Je n'aime pas pleurer devant les gens. Ça me rend mal à l'aise de les rendre mal à l'aise. Je ne pense pas que je déprimerai longtemps. Ce n'est même pas une déprime. J'ai juste des trucs sur le coeur et j'ai besoin de les extérioriser en compagnie d'une personne qui sait comment faire pour que sa simple présence me suffise. Je suis devant un dilemme moral et de grands questionnements...

En contraste, je suis contente d'avoir pu voir Mylène aujourd'hui. Nous sommes allées dans le Vieux pour se balader autant qu'elle le pouvait (considérons qu'elle est toujours en convalescence), trouver son hôpital et souper au restaurant ensemble. J'ai dépassé mon budget... sans remords : le sauté de crevettes à l'orientale le vaut bien, non ? ;__; Je sauterai un repas demain pour compenser vu que je n'ai pas pu me faire de lunchs ce soir !

Se dice que de acuerdo a nuestra edad hay una braga indicada para cada una de nosotras, sin embargo, creo que las bragas no se adaptan a nuestras edades sino a cómo cada una de vosotras quiere usarlas.

Existen diversos tipos de bragas que podemos usar. Pueden ser bikini, tangas, hilos dentales, sin elástico o con elástico, grandes, de lycra o del algodón; lo importante es que las uses con la vestimenta adecuada y en la situación indicada. Esto quiere decir que si por ejemplo vas a usar un pantalón lycra blanco, lo indicado sería ponerse un hilo dental para que no se marque la lencería en la ropa.

Algo muy importante es que se recomienda que las bragas sean de algodón para evitar enfermedades como infecciones. El usar material sintético o de lycra favorece a su aparición y puede ocasionar daños en el aparato reproductivo de la mujer.

Si eres adolescente  te recomendamos usar bikinis e ir conociendo la variedad de bragas que existen para que empieces a usarlas. En el caso de ser una mujer joven las tangas,  los hilos dentales y las bragas a la cadera son las alternativas más recomendadas. Mientras que en las señoras los bikinis son una buena alternativa. En el caso de las niñas se recomienda que las bragas sean de algodón, recordemos que a esa edad las niñas están más propensas a infecciones urinarias.

Estas recomendaciones pueden ser aplicable depende de ti, si tienes más de 40 y quieres usar una tanga no dudes en hacerlo. Adaptemos a nuestra vida el estilo de lencería a usar y no dejemos que los tabúes o tendencias pasadas interfieran en nuestras decisiones.
