Impossible as it seemed, but treacherously preparing from the very beginning of the war, Bulgaria has betrayed the Slav cause: The Bulgarian army has attacked Our faithful ally Serbia, [which is already] bleeding profusely in a struggle with a strong enemy.

Russia and Our allied Great Powers tried to warn Ferdinand of Coburg against this fatal step. The fullfillment of an age-old aspiration of the Bulgar people - union with Macedonia - has [already] been guaranteed to Bulgaria by a means more in accord with the interests of the Slav world.

But appeals by the Germans to secret ambitions and fratricidal emnity against the Serbs prevailed.

Bulgaria, whose [Orthodox] faith is the same as Ours, who so recently has been liberated from Turkish slavery by the brotherly love and the blood of the Russian people, openly took the side of the enemies of the Christian faith, the Slav world and of Russia.

The Russian people react with bitterness to the treachery of a Bulgaria which was so close to them until recently, and draw their swords against her with heavy hearts, leaving the fate of these traitors to the Slav world to God's just retribution.

Das wichtigste Flusssystem Bulgariens ist das der Donau (bulgarischer Anteil etwa 520 Kilometer) mit ihren Nebenflüssen Iskâr (etwa 368 Kilometer lang) und Jantra (etwa 290 Kilometer lang). Weitere bedeutende Flüsse sind die Kamčija (etwa 180 Kilometer lang), die in das Schwarze Meer mündet, sowie die Marica (bulgarischer Anteil etwa 320 Kilometer), die Struma und die Mesta, die in das Ägäische Meer fließen. Die Beckenlandschaften der südlichen Landesteile sind mit trockenen Sommern und feuchten Wintern vorwiegend mediterran geprägt. Der Balkan schützt den Süden des Landes wirksam vor Kaltlufteinbrüchen aus Nordosten.

Most intelligence reports have suggested that any such activity in Bulgaria is on a small scale.

The Bosnians (Muslims) have suffered a holocaust in the 1990's.  Recovering from that is no picnic.  The people of Bosnia were victimized, according to many circles, because they strayed away from their religion and adopted the secular lifestyle - which seemed to have swallowed them up whole.  The Muslims are very skeptical about global, especially Western, powers promising never to let a holocaust happen again; yet it happens in their own backyard - right under their own noses; and even with much of their own support.

Many of the Bosnians have chosen to become closer to their religion as a protection against ethnic cleansing.  Yet, it is actually the racist perception of others that labels these religious changes as extreme or radical.  Heck, in the U.S., Obama is referred to as the 'most radically left' senator in the Senate, and Cheney and Bush (and company), are considered the most 'extreme right.'  Both connotations have further polarized the nation into two poles that the overwhelming population does not adopt to - yet will associate and accept for having the 'lesser of two evils.'

The push of the propaganda according anti-Islamist activists, supported even by government institutions, is something that preps a nation of people to learn to hate Islam, as a new wave of false-flag terrorist attacks are introduced to their nation.  This allows for the next phase of the propaganda to take effect.

It helps to seal at least a doubt about Muslims' intentions by having the association of the attack (usually without evidence) to a hapless, defenseless person(s), who will spend the rest of his days NOT being able to defend himself because the laws have allowed for unjust tribunals, post criminal interrogations, also known as torture - sanctioned by the very same government that needs to obtain further control of the very same population -- prior to claiming their citizens' wealth as their final booty in helping to keep the world a better place.

En Mayo de 1020 más de 6000 jinetes se lanzaron sobre Suzdal, fue un blanco fácil. Saquearon quemaron y destruyeron todo lo que encontraron. Todos los jefes de las tribus del Volga se encontraban unidos en aquella expedición bajo el mando del Khan. Por ello fue mayor la catástrofe. Tras el saqueo de Zurdal se dirigieron a la Rica Muscovy, tenían noticias de que habían fuerzas enemigas en la región, pero eran con mucho inferiores en numero, así pues los salvajes jinetes de la estepa se lanzaron como lobos sobre su presa. Sin embargo, por desgracia para el Khan, los defensores reaccionaron en el último momento, y aunque eran menos, las habilidades de Hans, y Mstsilav, junto con la preparación de las tropas allí destacadas sirvieron para desequilibrar la balanza a favor de los moscovitas. La batalla fue tan breve como cruenta, pero 2000 hombres aniquilaron a más de 5000 jinetes en pocas horas, aunque perdieron a la mitad de sus hombres, y Hans murió en la batalla atravesado por las lanzas de los enemigos, Muscovy fue defendida con éxito, y las hordas repelidas. En su posterior huida, con el Khan herido, y casi todos los jefes de tribu muertos, los jinetes búlgaros tuvieron que abandonar sus riquezas de camino, pero al menos algunos salvaron la vida.

A goal in each half ensured Manchester United claimed all three points against Blackburn at Ewood Park. Wes Brown and Wayne Rooney did the damage as the champions cruised past Paul Ince’s men.

The pre-match hype had surrounded Paul Ince taking on his former side and Sir Alex Ferguson certainly had a surprise up his sleeve for the Rovers boss.

Wayne Rooney, taken off in midweek through injury, was in the starting lineup as the champions sought to take three points from Ewood Park for only the second time in eight visits.

Yet the visitors started sloppily and Rovers certainly had the better of the opening half an hour.

Whilst Vidic came close from a corner for United early on it was Matt Derbyshire who really should have opened the scoring.

Brett Emerton caught the United defence napping with an intelligent pass which Derbyshire ran onto before hitting a lot shot across the goalkeeper Van der Sar. The Dutchman could only parry his effort but fortunately for him Ferdinand was on hand to clear the danger ahead of the incoming Santa Cruz.

The chance sparked the champions who came close at the other end. Berbatov sliding in Darren Fletcher whose drilled shot across goal was inches wide.

As the visitors grew into the game a sense of foreboding began to fall around a rain-soaked Ewood Park.

Just before the half hour some slick passing by the Red Devils culminated in Berbatov squaring the ball to Giggs whose shot was fingertipped superbly onto the bar by goalkeeper Brown.

It was to prove only a momentary reprieve for Ince’s men however. Minutes later a short corner by United fell to Rooney whose cross to the far post was nodded in by Wes Brown.

His namesake in the Rovers goal howled his protests and replays showed Vidic jumping with the Blackburn keeper may have committed a foul but referee Steve Bennett waved the complaints away.

Yet from then on Ince could have few objections over the scoreline as United took full control. With ten minutes to go before half time Rooney had the chance to double his side’s lead after being put through in the area.

The England striker attemped to dink it over Brown but the goalkeeper recovered well to keep the deficit down to one.

Right on half time it was Ronaldo’s turn. Patrice Evra haring down the left wing found Ronaldo close to goal but the Portugese transpired to mis-hit his shot wide.

The second half became something of a procession for the visitors and with Santa Cruz hobbling off injured for the home side, the situation looked bleak.

It was to prove the case and just after the hour mark United doubled their lead. A break for United found Ronaldo running at Olsson on the right.

The Portuguese winger simply flew past the the left black and picked out Rooney who made no mistake firing it past Brown to give the champions a deserved 2-0 lead.

From then on it was simply a question of how many United might score as they completely dominated the game against a beleagured Rovers.

Rooney came close, dinking a lob over the bar before Berbatov was denied by the quick thinking of Brown, rushing out of his goal to deny the Bulgarian.

However, it was substitute Tevez who came the closest of all. The Argentinean firing a low shot against the post after being set up by Ronaldo.

In the end the champions failed to extend their lead but Ferguson will depart Ewood Park pleased with the performance and delighted with a rare three points snared from Blackburn, much to Ince’s dismay.

Езикът на “Говорещата азбука” идва от далечна историческа епоха, когато книжовната информационна технология още не е била открита, а за съхраняване на словесна мисъл се е разчитало почти изцяло на ограничените възможности на човешката памет. При тази мотивирана речева система думите се образуват /генерират/ от фонетични буквени знаци със собствено смислово /семантично/ съдържание. Така отделните значения на буквите в думата изграждат не само нейната звукова /фонетична/, но и нейната смислова /семантична/ стойност. И е достатъчно човек да познава азбуката, за да започне да разбира смисъла на казаното. Азбуката се състои от 30 установени досега значещи звукови атомарни знаци. Значещи, защото всеки буквен звук означава определен обект, както и отделни характерни свойства на този обект. Съпоставените обекти на азбучните звукове са части на лицето - нос, очи, уста, зъб, части на тялото - ръка, крак, мъжко, женско, фундаментални природни обекти - огън, небе, земя, дърво, вода, камък, както и общовалидни свойства и действия - голям, малък, много, има, няма, търкалям, хвърлям и др. Генеративността на езика се състои в това, че при участието си в думата, буквените звуци участват със своите значения в смисловото изграждане на думата, т.е. според отделните букви, съдържащи се в думата, може да се се разбере какво означава тя. Буквеният звук Зъ означава - огън, но и топлина, светъл, пека -, Дъ означава - зъб, но също острие, плоча, бял -, Нъ означава - уста, но и отвор, давам, закръглен -, Бъ означава - голям, но и стар, по-възрастен, по /сравнителна степен/ -, Лъ - гръд, но и висок, майка, извор, връх -, АЙ - небе, но също и най-висш, вечност -, Йо - очи, но и вода, две - и т.н. При линейното съчетание на буквените звуци в думата, от тяхните значения се генерира смисловото съдържание на думата, например ДъЛъ - зъб висок - длето, дялам, далта; БъЛъ - голям височина - планина, било, палат, балкан; ЗъДъ - пека плоча /т.е. печена плоча,тухла/ - зид, сдание, зидам; ЗъНъ - огнена уста - слънце, съмва.
На буквените звуци от “говорещата азбука” по естествен път съответстват графични буквени знаци, изобразявящи обектите, които буквените звуци означават. Дъ - зъб - Д, У - ухо - У, Чъ - нос, едно - 1, Лъ - връх - Л, КРъ - крак - К, Тъ - мъжко - Т, Зъ - огън - може да се изобрази със зигзагообразен знак, наподобяващ пушек З или Z, Бъ - голям - с вдигната над главата ръка Б, А - няма - с широко разтворени ръце А, Мъ - мой, имам - със свити към гърдите ръце - М. По същата логика придобиват графичния си вид и другите букви от “Говорещата азбука”: Нъ - уста; Гъ - дърво, растение, раста; Ер - език, листо; Къ- гънка, женско, пораждам; Йо - очи, вода, две; БРъ - клони, платно, парцал; Ор - камък /вж.фиг. 1/. Когато ръката сочи надолу, това несъмнено показва нещо “малко”, оттам идва графичният знак за звуковата буква - Аъ - малко, незначително. Хоризонтална черта отдолу е “земя” - ГРъ, а хоризонтална черта отгоре или крилообразно очертание е “покрив” или “крило”, значението на звуковата буква Ю. “Много” - Ръ, но също “пръсти” и “4” - число, намира символно представяне в четирите рамене на кръстачката. До днес математическите действия събиране и умножение се отбелязват с “+” и “Х”. Посочването с пръст за потвърждение, отговарящо на звукът Ъ - да, е, тоз -, съвсем естествено се представя графично с вертикална черта. За символен знак на И- хвърля, оставя - служи “лък със стрела”, а знакът за звуковата буква О - месо, плът - напомня за нещо, което има крайници и глава т.е. представител на животинския свят. Звуковата буква Е - гърло, викам - се изобразява със символ, оприличаващ шия с няколко обръча, задължителни за древността атрибути. За означаване на Я - смях - служи изплезен език от уста, подобно на латинско Q, със запазени следи и в днешното ни Я. Мелнично или грънчарско колело, както и обикновено колесно колело с ос в центъра, дават най-близка представа за фонетичната буква ТРъ - търкалям, колело, стръмен. МРъ - мърдам, жив, мръщя се - съвсем убедително се свързва с вълните на морето, езерото, водата, доста сходни с набръчкано смръщено лице. АЙ - небе, най, висш - съвсем безспорно се олицетворява от звездите.
Смислово изградени от значащи атомарни звуци - фонетични букви на лесно запомняема азбука, думите се превръщат в указатели към мисловни понятия, а речта в изразител на мисълта. При един такъв силно ограничен по състав праезик, контекстуалното влияние определя в най-голяма степен семантиката и по правило жестови знаци задължително са съпровождали разговора, а насочващи рисунки са придружавали кратките надписи върху ограничени повърхности от камък , глина, дърво, кожа, метал. За развита система от граматически правила, по-сложен синтаксис, служебен лексикален състав и свободно словотворчество е още твърде рано да се говори, те се появяват с писаните граматики и с книжовните образци на обемист словесен запис.
Превъзхождащ примитивните местни племенни говори, азбучно мотивираният език ЪЗъ Ер - аз език /аз говоря/ - за пръв път става изразител на по-абстрактни нравствени категории, което открива пред хората възможност за разбирателство, за обща вяра в обширни географски райони. Така още в дълбока древност универсалната реч способства за институционално организиране на предкнижовни териториални държави - БъЛъ ГРъ - велика/голяма/ земя - велика крачка по пътя към съвременната цивилизация.

Un tema electro-pop. Venelina actuó con dos coristas y dos bailarines. Fue un buen tema bien interpretado.

Концепцията на видеото кореспондира пряко с посланието на самата песен, която носи настроение и енергия, благодарение на хармоничната комбинация от соулфул поп с „old school” елементи.

От години не се беше появявал певец на българската сцена, за който да имам такива очаквания и надежди, както за Криста. Дори и всичките мюзик айдъли и подобни, които за мен не струваха (повечето). Наистина вярвам, че тя може да поразбута застоя у нас.

Ритъмът на песента между другото е доста подобна смесица от Feist - My Moon My Man и DJ Mehdi - Lucky Boy (Outlines Remix), но в по-бърз вариант - това го установих преди малко, докато я слушах :)

TSURNOGORSKI MONASTERY, Bulgaria (Reuters) - Brother Nikanor, a Nasdaq broker turned monk, advises former colleagues to put a jar with soil on their desks to remind them where we are all heading and what matters in life.

As western banks fold into each other like crumpled tickets and commentators portray the current crisis as the last gasp of modern capitalism, Hristo Mishkov, 32, shares the pain -- and offers home truths.

His story partly resembles that of Brother Ty, the monk-tycoon protagonist of the 1998 satire "God is my Broker" by U.S. writers Christopher Buckley and John Tierney -- he failed on Wall Street and became a monk.

But 10 years later, the similarities are superficial: the Bulgarian had a successful broking career, does not write self-help manuals and aims to get happy, not rich.

His interest in financial markets began under communism in the 1980s when he and other children created their own play stock exchange in their apartment block's basement in Sofia.

Five years ago, after failing to find happiness in the life he lived, the Christian Orthodox who hadn't practiced as a child quit the New York-based market for a dilapidated Bulgarian monastery that once served as a communist labor camp.

Retaining one luxury -- a mobile phone, which connects him with both potential donors and former trading colleagues -- he has brought the rigor of his broking experience to his faith.

He has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of levs (dollars) to rebuild the monastery -- a hard task in a country where charity is not part of the mentality and building shopping malls and golf courses is a priority.

"Many people... in the world do not realize that they have not earned the food they eat, that they take without giving," Mishkov told Reuters. "But if someone consumes more than they have earned, it means someone else is starving.

"It is right to see people who consume more than they deserve shattered by a financial crisis from time to time, to suffer so that they can become more reasonable."

Being a trader has seldom been more traumatic: placing bets on political decisions about billion-dollar bank bailouts which, if they fail, could mean much more than a bad day for yourself or colleagues, but also jeopardize livelihoods.

Some have found solace in religion, others in humor, but a few fall. Surveys show traders reporting more stress and every news report of a trader suicide is accompanied by suggestions the pressure may have been too much.

"We always search for happiness in the outside world, in material things, which makes us constantly unsatisfied, angry with ourselves and the world," said Mishkov, who exudes a sense of tranquility, intelligence, and humor.

Greed and the marketization of our lives have reached the point where people have been turned into a commodity -- even their health can be traded like a stock, he said.

"We have so quickly lost our human appearance, we have become beasts ... There's no-one to count on and say 'hey neighbor come help me.' He will come but demand a payment."

His monastery, tucked among hills 50 km (31 miles) west of Sofia, was founded in the 12th century. The communist regime which banned religion turned it into a labor camp, then a children's pioneer camp and a livestock farm.

Now Mishkov works hard every day milking buffalo cows and building stone walls. He says he is not against rich people but can only respect those who contribute to the good of society -- pointing to Microsoft founder Bill Gates as an example.

As a younger man working for more than two years for Karoll, one of Bulgaria's leading brokerages, Mishkov was good at his job, former colleagues say.

"He was a religious person and that annoyed me sometimes," said Alexander Nikolov, head of international capital markets at Karoll. "There were occasions when he would not show up at work because of some religious holiday."

His colleagues were stunned when he decided to become a monk, but Mishkov felt the time had come to look after people's souls.

"Everybody can be a good broker but this does not bring much benefit for the world," he said. Religion can help people cope in today's stressful times and find answers, Mishkov added.

Churches in New York's financial district reported last month increased attendance at lunchtime meetings, with many more people in business attire than usual, when some of the world's biggest investment banks collapsed.

Steven Bell, chief economist of London hedge fund GLC, said keeping a sense of reality is what traders needed.

"It is very important to just remind yourself that there is a real world out there. In any job but particularly in financial markets, you need to try and keep your feet on the ground," Bell told Reuters by phone.

Mishkov says the crash should also help correct a dangerous global trend of an excessive outflow of labor to the service sectors, by people attracted by high pay and an easy life.

"Milk is not produced by computers, bread doesn't come from a good company PR. It is necessary to plow, sow and harvest before that," says the monk.

You can guarantee that when Paul Ince took over the Blackburn Rovers job from Mark Hughes, games such as this Saturday’s against the club he represented with such distinction during his playing career was one of the first he looked for when the fixture list was released.

Indeed, the concept of even facing the Premier League and European champions must have seemed a long way away this time last season when he was guiding Milton Keynes Dons to the Football League Two title. Ince, though, has taken the giant leap to the Premier League in his stride if recent results are anything to go by.

Beginning with a barnstorming opening-day victory at Goodison Park against Everton, ‘the Guv’nor’ should be very pleased indeed to see his Rovers team sitting in a comfortable seventh place in the table after claiming further wins at home to Fulham and away at Newcastle United.

The ex-Inter Milan player has also, importantly, managed to add some further quality to the Blue and Whites squad. His signing of Paul Robinson seems to have re-invigorated the much-maligned goalkeeper, right-back Danny Simpson has been an astute loan singing from this Saturday’s opponents, whilst the Latin flair and technical skills of Chilean Carlos Villanueva has lit up the Rovers attack.

Such an impressive start to his Premier League career has certainly allowed Ince to cast aside any of the doubts that were sent his way upon his ascension to the Ewood Park hot-seat.

However, there aren’t many bigger tests for a manager than when Manchester United come to town.

However, Ince has inherited a team that has performed well above expectations against the Red Devils in recent years, with Rovers pinning back United’s title hopes last season in a hard-fought 1-1 draw as well as recording a David Bentley-inspired 4-3 win in 2006.

If the former Reds idol can continue this impressive run on Saturday, then you can be sure that Sir Alex Ferguson will have to crack a wry smile at yet another one of his protégés coming back to haunt him.

There are some players who have an uncanny knack of finding the back of the net every time they walk onto a football pitch, whilst there are others who seem to be in a constant cycle of hot and cold spells when it comes to getting their name on the score-sheet.

That Wayne Rooney seems to fit so firmly in to the latter category will make the news of his potential absence from this game even harder to take for United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Rooney had looked to be coming back to his effervescent best in the Red Devils’ last two games, scoring a beautifully crafted goal against Bolton Wanderers and setting United on their way to an elementary 3-0 Champions League win against Aalborg with an uncharacteristically composed finish.

Furthermore, the mid-week jaunt in Denmark dealt a much more serious blow to Ferguson’s playing stock with the news that Paul Scholes will be out of action until 2009 due to the knee ligament damage he picked up in an innocuous challenge against AaB. The Oldham-born playmaker may not be the player that he once was, but anyone who saw his cameo appearance against Bolton Wanderers couldn’t have failed to recognise the quality and finesse that Scholes adds to the United midfield.

This latest injury will also exacerbate a problem position for United this season due to the continuing fitness issues for Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves, as well as the poor form of Anderson since his return from Olympic duty with Brazil. Blows such as these though will have been compensated by Dimitar Berbatov’s two goal salvo against the Danish champions.

The tall Bulgarian will be an important figure if the Red Devils are to come away from Ewood Park on Saturday with all three points.

Victories against their North West neighbours have though been scarce in recent years, a fact that Sir Alex Ferguson will no doubt be aware of when he rues the loss of his inspirational No. 10 for this match.

Blackburn Rovers

Rovers will be without the services of Paul Robinson (calf) as he is still a week away from a return to action. The ex-Tottenham man joins long-term injury absentee David Dunn (shin) on the Ewood Park treatment table. Defender Danny Simpson will also be in the stands for this game - he is ineligible as he is a loan signing from Manchester United. Australian international Vince Grella (calf) should though be available to Paul Ince for the visit of the Premier League champions.

Manchester United

The ease of the Red Devil’s mid-week victory in Denmark has come at a cost with Paul Scholes (knee) out of the first-team frame until January. The veteran player joins team-mates Owen Hargreaves (knee) and Michael Carrick (ankle) on the sidelines to leave Sir Alex Ferguson short of central midfield options. There is better news for Gary Neville, however, as he should return for the short trip to Blackburn after being rested against Aalborg. Wayne Rooney (ankle) does though remain a serious doubt for this game after his early withdrawal against the Danish champions. Injuries to goalkeepers Ben Foster (knee) and Thomas Kuszczak (knee) will mean that Ben Amos retains his place on the United bench.

Blackburn Rovers

After being sporadically linked with United over the summer, Roque Santa Cruz will want to show Sir Alex Ferguson his true worth. The Paraguayan powerhouse was a constant thorn in the side of the Red Devils when the two teams met at Ewood Park last season, giving Rovers the lead with a trademark header, and Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic one of the toughest tests they received during United’s glorious campaign. A repeat of such a dominant display will give Paul Ince every chance of claiming his first major Premier League scalp. 

Manchester United

With his two goals against Aalborg in mid-week, Dimitar Berbatov started to pay back the huge transfer fee that brought him to the club. Strikes against Danish minnows will, however, be quickly forgotten by an expectant United following if the Bulgarian doesn’t continue to get his name on the Red Devils’ score-sheet. Football fans are a notoriously fickle bunch though, and if the ex-Tottenham man caps off a promising week with a match-wining strike against Blackburn Rovers you can bet that any of their initial misgivings will be quickly forgotten as they celebrate another three points.

Ewood Park has never been a fruitful hunting ground for Manchester United, with one win in their last three visits to Blackburn standing testament to this fact.

The task for Sir Alex Ferguson has also grown even harder in the last few days with Paul Scholes’ worrying knee injury and the fitness doubts surrounding a rejuvenated Wayne Rooney.

Bearing this news in mind, Rovers manager Paul Ince should have his troops fired up on Saturday to give his former manager’s charges a real test of their Premier League winning credentials.

"Pirinska Makedonija" means "Pirin Macedonia" which is the region I live in. Although I currently live in the country of Bulgaria, this part of the country is part of the broader "Macedonian region" which encompasses parts of modern day Greece, Bulgaria and, yes, Macedonia (other places as well maybe).

This land and claims on it have caused a lot of conflict in the past and the truth about it completely depends on who you ask. You can read more about the confusion here. Anyway, I'm not saying that this region does not belong to Bulgaria or anything like that. I think the region clearly goes beyond defineable borders. Mostly, I'm bored and thought I would change it for kicks. But it is a really interesting historical, cultural and political debate which still comes up today, especially in bickering between modern day Greece and the FYRO Macedonia.

To any nationalists out there: I am not trying to offend you. Please do not take anything here seriously or as an affront to your beliefs. Region and country are different things.

Oh, I forgot - the title of this post reads "Sakam hleb", which in Macedonian dialect or language (depending on where you are I guess) means "I want bread". It's interesting because in proper Bulgarian it should be "Iskam hlyab" which is different. It's more interesting because people in this region use the "dialect" in the title and other dialect words in everyday communication. They were hard to pick-up at first, but now I'm used to them and I usually use the dialect in some ways.

So, that's a lesson in langauge or culture or something.
