karlie is 15 years old and, according to nyf, hails from chicago. you might recognize her for her rather infamous slouchy walk. i recognize her because she's mighty successful at such a young age (and does some fabric-lacking shots i'm sure my own mother wouldn't like myself in)...and because she's tall, tall, tall! her eyebrows aren't shabby, either.

one model i can't stand is caroline trentini. i'm not sure what it is about her that other people find attractive...i can't really find it. the shocking difference between the color of her brows and scalp displease me.

ah! i've had enough with the beaitiful people. off to bed.

So the rest was up to me---make sure I had enough money to afford the sunglasses and the shipping (which was really reasonable), and to bid smart. The other sunnies s/he had on for sale were really very cheap, and I thought if all would go well with the dream sunnies, I'd bid for another one. The bidding ended early morning in my part of the world, and yes, I woke up at 4:45am just to make sure I won the sunnies! And win the sunnies I did! The best part was that I was able to win another pair because the dream sunnies didn't end up being too expensive! So here are the sunglasses I won this morning:

ROBERTO CAVALLI ATAMANTE 322S

Original price is around $300+. eBay price goes for around $230. But I got mine for EUR34.05, or roughly $45.99! And they're in the color I really want---black. Heaven heard my prayers! Now I can look so cool and beautiful and mysterious like Sophia Myles in Moonlight (where I saw 'em first, and began coveting the sunnies)

Here's the "extra" pair I got, because the Atamante turned out to be more affordable:

Roberto Cavalli Agalaia 245S in brown frame with gold lenses. Market retail price is around $400+. I got mine for EUR55.00 or around $75.00.

Do the math. The retail price for both pairs of sunglasses is around $700+, but I got them both for just a little over $100! I am so glad I waited, and found the seller in eBay España. Now, I have to make the payment, and wait for the sunglasses to come home to Mama!

Noi ci siamo stati sia nella mattinata che dopo pranzo (una volta sola a Matteino non bastava, giustamente...). Matteo ha avuto la possibilità di toccare proprio con mano animali come gli asini, le mucche da latte, le pecore, i maialini e tanti altri ancora ed è stato bello vedere il suo entusiasmo nell'osservare certe cose, nel riconoscere situazioni o animali che magari ha soltanto visto ritratti in alcuni libri.

Nel pomeriggio, soprattutto, c'era davvero "un monte di gente", si faceva fatica a camminare ed io e Lele  della Ciulli Family abbiamo riflettuto che proprio in queste occasioni si scopre come Campi non sia più un paesino ma una realtà abbastanza grande, che meriterebbe un'attenzione maggiore, un impegno grande perché sono ancora tante le cose che davvero non funzionano o che comunque andrebbero migliorate...

Sono stato contento di vedere come alcuni angoli di questo posto siano ancora incontaminati e vorrei che il Comune s'impegnasse per restituire alla Rocca il suo antico splendore. Vedere il simbolo del nostro paese che se ne va in malora piano, piano mi ferisce, soprattutto quando lo vedo da vicino e immagino che se utilizzato nel corretto modo sarebbe bellissimo...

Tornando alla festa vi dico che se per Matteo è stata entusiasmante per noi "grandicelli" è stata un'occasione per rivedere e chiacchierare con davvero tanta, tanta gente, soprattutto ragazzi e ragazze che da tempo non incontravamo. E' stato bello constatare come tanti di noi, a distanza di anni, si siano "accasati" formando delle belle famiglie con figli (il numero dei passeggini presenti ieri era impressionante...); un destino comune che sembra aver reso tutti estremamente felici.

Guardando certi visi mi è venuto da pensare a quando eravamo piccoli, mentre si girava per Campi in bici, o quando si stava in piazza a giocare per giornate intere a pallone e poi ho pensato a come siamo ora tutti, più maturi, ognuno con uno o più passeggini, con i pupi in braccio che iniziano a loro volta a giocare insieme. E' una delle piccole cose che mi ha riattirato a casa: quest'atmosfera intima, familiare, ritrovare "la solita gente" in giro per Campi, parlare e ricordare eventi e cose che fanno parte di noi, di tutta la comunità e che un giorno saranno anche parte del mondo di Matteo e dei suoi amici.
