<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hace pocos dias nos encontramos por la red, este video donde vemos el gamplay con <strong>Abel</strong> uno de los personajes nuevos de <strong>Street Fighter IV</strong>, y en este video tambien podremos ver a un persnaje "nuevo" aunque bien Mitificado en el ambito de SF, nada mas y nada menos que el recientemente confirmado maestro de <strong>Ryu</strong> y <strong>Ken</strong>, si ese mismo <strong>Gouken.</strong></p>
<p>Como van a ver en el video, <strong>Gouken</strong> combina lo mejor de <strong>Ryu</strong> y <strong>Ken</strong>, pero con tecnicas mucho mas elaboradas como el <strong>Hadouken</strong> con una sola mano y... Bueno mejor veanlo ustedes.</p>

<p>If you're in the States of A, you probably got the Bioshock demo yesterday and the FIFA 09 demo last week. You might've liked Bioshock, was a tad scary for me though. But say you're itching for some football (soccer) that doesn't feel like ass when you play it. Well, brotha i gotchu. Sign into the PSN with your alternate EU account, access their PS Store and DL the PES 09 demo they received yesterday. I haven't tried it yet myself, but i tried FIFA last week, almost falling for all this "FIFA's finally better than PES!" crap and came away as disappointed as ever.</p>
<p>EA makes soccer games like they make their Madden -- big, heavy, lumbering brutes running across a field, waiting for the occassional juke or high-step to look cool. Futbol isn't supposed to play like football. Futbol is pretty, balletic; players moving around with finesse. In <em>foot</em>ball, players are constantly attacking with their bodies, slamming each other to the ground. FIFA, the two most recent years at least, is feeling too much like they've adopted the Madden engine. Maybe that's how the MLS plays, but sorry, no. Futbol (at least everywhere else in the world) is a sport of carefully crafted beauty executed at just the right moment. It's like tennis, but with a lot more guys and only one changeover.</p>
<p>Despite the framerate issues of last year's Winning Eleven, which seem to have been addressed this year, FIFA is still far from the top. You can talk about features and online leagues and whatnot, but it's the gameplay, stupids.</p>
<p>I don't mean to harp too much on the "America is dumb for not liking soccer enough" meme, it's just a question of the games displaying their real-world counterparts well. I'm gonna feel like an ass if the PES demo sucks.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Eigentlich dachte ich, dass letztes Jahr das Hammerjahr der Videogames war ... und jetzt kommt dieses Jahr daher und bietet wieder eine Menge interessanter Titel. Eine der interessantesten neuen Serien (es ist ein EA Titel - natürlich ist es eine Serie wenn es sich gut verkauft) dürfte Mirror´s Edge sein.<br />
Hier ein eher langweiliges Video ...</p>

<p>... das Gameplay wirkt hier eher zäh, das Gegnerverhalten scheint lächerlich zu sein (ja ich würde auch vor der unbewaffneten Frau zurückschrecken die gerade an ihren Fingern am Abgrund hängt wenn ich die Knarre in der Hand habe) und obendrein schwingt sich die gute wie eh und je durch die Gegend nachdem sie gerade angeschossen wurde. Wirklich schade ... für meinen Geschmack hätten sie am Gameplay ne Menge besser machen können.<br />
Wieso keine Taser Geschosse die einen für einen Moment lähmen/langsamer machen und somit die Fluchtmöglichkeiten einschränken (oder was anderes futuristischeres als 08/15 Feuerwaffen). Wieso überhaupt Waffen ? Warum nicht das ganze lieber als reine HighSpeed Verfolgungsjagd auslegen bei der es eigentlich nur darum geht nicht gefangen zu werden, ohne dass die Ballerei ins Spiel kommt ?</p>
<p>Naja - dies ist nur ein Video und obendrein das bisher schlechteste das ich bisher gesehen habe, das finale Spiel will ich umbedingt anspielen. Ich werde es mir aber erstmal bestenfalls aus der Videothek ausleihen (lieber noch von nem Kumpel ... Videotheken nehmen ja auch ordentlich Knete dieser Tage, vor allem wenn man mal überzieht weil das Game doch besser als erwartet ist).</p>

This is also a solid 18 minute video cut into two segments. If you are going to break the closed beta rules then you might as well do it properly.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our glorious realm was down again last night. Not down-down. Just...wavering. There we are, all ready for some Hyjal (and were actually going to attempt Mr. Fancy Pants) and half the raid just disappears. Three times. So we called it.</p>
<p>I'm really disappointed, because I got home late and scrambled to throw my new gear together, and I was all psyched about seeing the improvements, and *cry*...No raid. Hopefully tonight will be better. Maybe the bow will drop...now I'm just dreaming.</p>
<p>On another note, I spoke with a hunter in EJ yesterday. It was nice to have an intelligent conversation instead of yelling and measuring e-peens, and I think we both learned something new from it. What I want to know is, why, when people quote EJ, they don't bother to adopt the principles that are respected in those forums? Doesn't make much sense to me. My &#60;3 to those who do. You are what makes this game enjoyable. Oh, and thanks for the comments, Pike. =D</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">This clip is slightly old, since backLash has disbanded and we've all moved on to either taking breaks from Halo/MLG or onto new teams. This was in our match against -So HooD-, at that time the 53rd Ranked team on GameBattles. Me and Prophecy decided to rush through Overshield to their Training. Well, there was a guy there who was jumping to their Courtyard. Needless to say, Prophecy shoots a rocket at him, I shoot the rocket and clean up the kill.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">Now, I wanted to tell you all that I'm hopefully getting a new capture card for my 15th birthday, which is October 24th. It can record in HD, at about the same quality as the video above, maybe even slightly better. I might start a small recording service for clips under a minute, which will not be like GameVee and not have the reticule but have that annoying timeline. Once I get it and configure it, I'll post a sample clip and see what you guys feel about the quality, and if it gets good "reviews" then I'll start allowing submissions for clips.</p>

<p><strong>Hack'n'Slay der Extraklasse!</strong> <strong>Unglaubliche Grafikeffekte und eine kleine Story erwarten euch auf eurem iPhone.</strong></p>

<p>“We call it 2.5D, because we’re using polygons and 3D artwork.”, sagte einer der Entwickler.<br />
Dieses Spiel benutzt OpenGL und es steht ihm prächtig. Kroll zaubert somit 3D Grafiken, die auf einem Mobiltelefon noch nie zu sehen waren. Rauch, Nebeleffekte, Schatten und Lichteffekte machen euer iPhone zu einer kleinen Spielekonsole, die weitaus bessere Grafik zeigt als die PS ONE und sogar so manches aktuelle Spiel in den Schatten stellt.  Ein großes Lob an <strong>Digital Legends Entertainment</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Steuerung:</strong></p>
<p>“But the gameplay is similar to console games like God of War and Shadow of the Colossus, so we needed to find easy-to-use controls.” Und das wurde eigentlich auch recht gut umgesetzt, da man sich auf 'Vor' und 'Zurück' Bewegungen beschränkt hat. Man läuft also mit Hilfe der zwei Richtungstasten durch die streng linear gestalteten Levels, hackt und prügelt sich mit je zwei weiteren Tasten für schnelle bzw. stärkere Schläge und genießt dabei die erstaunlich durchgehenden Animationen der Spielfigur. Durch wiederholtes Tippen der Kampftasten, verbindet diese mehrere Schläge zu einer verheerenden Combo.</p>
<p><strong>Gameplay:</strong></p>

Alles in Form eines Buches, in dem ihr die Story nachlesen könnt und die Steuerung erklärt ist. Ihr könnt mit dem Finger die Seiten umblättern und kommt so in das nächste Menü. Finde ich eine tolle Idee und sollte auch bei Spielekonsolen und PC Spielen viel öfters benutzt werden.</p>

<p>In den drei Kapiteln des Spieles werdet ihr ebenfalls auf drei übergroße Endgegner antreffen, denen ihr in cinematischen Scenen den Garaus macht. Hierfür gilt es im richtigen Moment die entsprechenden Tasten zu drücken. Zum Beispiel in der obrigen Szene müsst ihr euch befreien in dem ihr auf seine Arme tippt und eure Spielfigur kann dem Griff entkommen.</p>

<p>Und so kämpft ihr in beeindruckender Weise weiter, bis ihr durch eine List euren Gegner zu Fall bringt und unter dem großen Tor einklemmt. Die Bilder dieser Seite entstammen komplett dem ersten Kapitel. Es gibt drei Schwierigkeitsgrade je drei Kapitel.</p>
<p>Nach dem ersten Druchspielen, wird ein zusätzlicher Modus freigeschaltet: <strong>Der Bosskampf</strong>.<br />
Hier kann man die super gelungenen Spielszenen gegen die drei Endbosse sooft man möchte nachspielen, ohne sich den langen Weg bis dahin freizukämpfen.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last night we ran Hyjal again. Oh Hyjal. When your name is spoken, I get a mixture of emotion welling up inside. Either this could go really really well, or it could be complete and utter boring failure. I still don't know if I like this damn place or not. First of all, if you wipe, you start all over. HUGE incentive not to wipe, but that's not really for me to control, so it's pretty frustrating when it happens. Then our guild assigns the kiting to the hunters. There are four hunters (we were short on players last night, generally we only have three), but poor Keroth always gets the shaft, so I volunteered. Now - the kiting is FUN. Don't get me wrong. But there are those incredibly frustrating moments where the neighborhood paladin won't let go of the stupid mob. "Hey, I'm kiting that!" I say. "Oh sorry," he says. Then five seconds later - "Where's Jana?" I'll tell you where Jana is. She's over in the corner twiddling her damn thumbs because no one pays attention to the lowly kiter. "Oh don't worry, Nass, I got your back," says my healer. Mmmhmm. Right. But it's okay. I've found a solution to the monotony and repetitiveness of Hyjal.</p>
<p>Alcohol.</p>
<p>That's right, a bottle of wine makes Hyjal the most exciting, fast-paced instance you've ever been in. Not only that, but kiting is much more challenging! Sometimes you spin in too many circles and start running toward the mob! Sometimes you accidently target the wrong mob! And sometimes you can't figure out why you can't Concussion shot your mob only to find he'd been killed thirty seconds ago! See? Problem solved. Hyjal is now fun and exciting. But I always look forward to the kill of the fourth boss on anything past a Tuesday, because it means we can head to BT the next night and I can actually have some real fun.</p>
<p>Regardless of my ... handicap ... we downed the first four bosses with very few problems. Why we don't attempt our Main Man is beyond me, as I feel we could handle it. But it's alright. I got my T6 gloves - wasn't expecting that with four other people wanting them. So I'm feeling pretty proud. It must mean I'm doing something right, even when I'm a little tipsy.</p>
<p>On another note, why don't those damn Cryptstalkers have a mana pool?? They cast shit, and it seems like it should be mana-based, but it's not, so I can't silence them to me, and the waves when I have to kite them suck.</p>
<p>I can't wait for WotLK. Anyone think the patch is today?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Little BIG Planet - First impressions (basics + Level gameplay)]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thanks to Jobocan and mainly to another buddy of mine, I’ve fought my way through Eurogamer’s rushed give-away of LBP Beta keys almost a week ago now.   I’ve given the game a good try through and through for a week now.   The game is simply amazing, it delivers what has been hyped, and it’s not even the final build, and it’s only about 2% of the actual disc content.</p>
<p>So the game, like most knows, is divided in Story mode, creation mode and playing other people’s creations.  All this is linked inside an interface represented as your spaceship, which you can decorate with stickers as you please.  From there, you can access 3 different planets, the first one is for settings and personal stuff, like accessing your friends list and join anyone already in a game.</p>

<p>The second planet is the biggest one, where you can choose between story mode, cool levels, and quick play. </p>
<p>Story mode is very limited in this beta, but acts as a very good tutorial for the overall controls and gameplay elements of LittleBigPlanet.  This is also mandatory to go through if you want to gather a lot of the materials you can use in the creation mode.  Quick Play puts you directly inside a game online with other people.  I don’t really like using this function, since half the time it seems to throw me in a level where everyone is already  at the end of it. (People seems to fail to use the tool made so that this does not happen).</p>
<p>Cool levels is where the Gaming 2.0 is born.  This is where you can access everyone’s created levels.  You can also use a quick tab to access recent played levels and search by tags.  Those tags are defined by people that previously played a given level.  You can also look through your friend’s favorite levels, or after playing through a level you liked, you can look up others by the same author, all the 2.0 things you could think of.</p>
<p>Sackboy time! (or sackgirl) Those little sack person you can customize to your liking, whenever, where-ever. They’re hilarious to see go at first under your control.  You use the D-pad to change your emotions (only effect is esthetic),  Up makes your sackboy happy, left makes him scared, right angry and down makes him a sad panda.  There are 3 levels of each emotion (+ the neutral one), and these are set by pressing more then once on the same direction.  Your sackboy also uses the sixaxis controller to shake his head or moves it’s torso if you’re holding L3. You can also swing your arms by moving your left stick while holding L2 to swing it’s right arm, and R2 + right stick for his left arm.  This is fun as you can slap others playing with you, or just do pointing dances.  As for the way your sackboy looks, it's quite interesting.  While this is only BETA and we only have access to part of the parts you can use to dress up your sack person.  There's a lot that can be done already to make him look unique enough that you won't run in another you too often.  Mine wears bunny ears and tail, has a big kiss in the face and used to wear a robe.</p>
<p>On to the gameplay part.  First, the multiplayer aspect is the now becoming slowly an industry standard, the pop in, pop out without interfering the other's game play, both online and offline.  So let's say I'm playing through a level alone, and my friends comes in and wants to join.  He can just pick up a controller and join in the platforming (and all other sillyness, <a href="http://kotaku.com/5054993/tetris-remade-in-littlebigplanet" target="_blank">Tetris-ness</a>, or Rick'roll-ness).  Now you'll be sharing lives, which works by checkpoints, which usually gives you 4 respawns, although, more generous authors will give you a "double-checkpoints" which gives you double the amount of tries from this checkpoint.  So when you reach a new checkpoint, you get all 4/8 life back for the next area.  If you run out of life, it's game over. You can replay the level or go elsewhere, if you choose to replay, you'll have to start all over again.  Now now, back to the multiplayer part, if my friend leaves, he turns off the controller and I continue exactly where I'm at.  How it works online? Pretty much the same, someone can join in any time, unless you've passed by a no-entry from this point panel, which locks the level for only the ones already in.  If someone leaves, others gets the option to stay where they are, or follow the one leaving.  Interesting thing is when the person you're following is choosing the next level to play in, you'll be in visit in his space pod and can just hang around there, although since you share the same view of the screen, you can't move much while he's in control of the planet viewer (a sixaxis bigger then the sackboys themselves), but at least you get to see where you're headed next.  Out of that mode, you can move a bit more though.</p>
<p>Now for the actual playing the levels, it pretty much goes as you've might have seen in the dozens of videos available online already.  You can expect much of the kind of gameplay you see in other 2D platformers, with the twist there's three layers you can move around, and a few hilarious or unusual things people comes up with.  The controls are pretty much to my liking.  Moving around is intuitive, but some might have problems with the way you jump, as it feels a lot like moon jumping.</p>
<p>I will be posting more impressions soon (and talk about the creation mode), and I'll try to add pictures and maybe videos of the gameplay, but they will be very cheap most likely, since the only tool I have right now is my cellphone to do these kinds of captures. Hopefully, the rumors about screenshots with the PS3 on the next firmware update are true.</p>

<p>There's not really alot of an update this week. We've got plenty of stats to show but there's no media this week. It's pretty hard to get decent videos from an online game because of the replay system. The only time we can really get a decent video is if someone scores an OT goal, which hasn't happened alot this week because we haven't let any games get that far! We could of course pause the game and get a replay straight after a good goal, but the amount of time it takes to upload the video would definately piss the other team off, and we don't want to be doing that!</p>
<p>Most of this weeks games have been played by just Rikoshay and Mark96, mainly because we're online the most out of the team. But we've done really well this week, we only taken 4 loses out of 16 games which is outstanding!</p>
<p>As you can see from our player stats below, Mark is scoring alot of goals for the team which is excellent, you'll notice he's got 65 goals from 44 games. Congratulations dude, keep up the great work!</p>
