Ze krijgen een aantal treinen te zien die een andere emotie hebben. Dan krijgen ze de emotie als woord te zien en moeten ze kiezen welke trein zo kijkt. Jammer genoeg is het in het Engels. Maar misschien een idee voor iemand om het na te maken en dan in het Nederlands te doen. Want het is een voor kinderen zeer aansprekende manier om emoties te leren herkennen. Wat zullen ze fanatiek zijn in het meedoen.

One of the biggest things The Mung Pie prides itself on is promoting sexual education.  Well this post isn't any different and it continues our commitment to bring love and safety into all of our readers sexual experiences.  A recent research across two hundred Dutch men has shown that premature ejaculation might not be so psychological after all.  Studies show that patients with less activity of serotonin between the nerves in the brain that control ejaculation were more likely to jump the gun early.  It was also noted that these patients had an increase in reaction times over the others which would make them more likely to be better at activities such as tennis or videogames.  Don't ask me why I'm writing about this, I just stumbled upon it and thought it was interesting.  I am in no way extremely good at Halo 3 and have a "General" class ranking.

1) Something interesting is happening.  I can't talk about details yet, but I'll let you all know when I know the final details - probably Wednesday afternoon.

2) As you probably know, Chris is back and out of the hospital.  He's staying with us for a while, while he recovers.  We're pumping calories into him at an astronomical rate.  Hopefully we can have him good and fat soon.

3) I've signed up on sparkpeople.com  It's a fitness and nutrition tracking site.  I'm trying to sort of diet = 1850 calories or less per day.  So far it's going pretty good. 

4) In that regard I've recently put a post up on my fitness blog - runfatboyrun.wordpress.com  I'm planning to add to it more regularly again.

5) I'm writing this on my laptop with no internet connection.  If all goes well this should publish when I get to an internet connection later in the day.  What fascinating modern times we live in.

6) Going to Kamloops soon.  Have an appointment with a specialist about my back disease.  I'm hoping for some sort of miracle drug that takes away my pain and lets me sleep full nights again.  That would be cool. 

7) Spore is pretty cool.  I've been playing offline only in  my "liberated" version.  Now that EA/Maxis has said that they'll be changing the copy protection to allow five activations and are putting in place a tool to "de-authorize" activated computers (much like iTunes) I'll consider buying it if I don't get it for my birthday.

8) Which is coming up soon!  I'm getting oldish.

9) Dylan is officially a 6mo.  That's pretty cool.  She's loving real people food - although she only gets to gum bread and rice crackers and stuff to death.  The occasional bit of rice cereal.  Y'know - baby stuff.

10) People are coming over tonight.  It's officially a wedding planning exercise, garnished with a fresh beef roast and veggies.  I think Scott is planning to add a topping of Rock Band Fun after we get the work part done.  Since Ivy pooped in the potty it's also going to be her potty pooping party we've been promising her since we started this whole potty training affair.  And what an affair it's been!\

11) Ivy pooped in the potty!!!!!  YAY! Word! Dude! Party Time! Excellent! (guitar solo) Sweeeeeeeet!

12) I rode my bike to work today.  Chilly.  I had to scrape frost off the seat, put on a scarf, and wear ski-doo gloves.  It was pretty cold, but once you get to 100km/h at least your helmet unfogs!  Awesome!  I'm guessing this will be one of my last commutes this year on the bike, and prolly one of the last times I get to ride before I have to winterize the little baby and put it away for the winter.  Sad me.

Having lost the keys for the back door, spent most of the night worried about waking up to burglars. Oh the joy of living on a sink estate!
So ended up getting up, finding the keys and taking the dogs out. Needless to say its glorious Welsh rugby weather, was soaked within 5 minutes. The dogs looked more pissed off than I did which is saying something.
Managed to read several of the shorter books for English last night and found the format for the book reports, so can make a start this week on the stuff I have already done. But also stumbled across some future assignments, one of which is going to be a ball ache 8( Finished my final revision of my PE warm up too. Quietly chuffed with it.
After the death of my last PC and I Tunes draconian DRM controls, started trying to restart my music library. Think I will just get an external detachable hard drive for the future, in theory it should make things easier . . Also been looking at a speaker set, dont know if 5.1 is necessary for the use I have. Plus there is a nice 2.1 set that also includes an I-Pod dock, if the quality is there that may be the best route.
Fired up the 360 last night and had another crack at "Halo 3" on Legendary, tough as feck but still doable in a skin of the teeth way. Or am I just getting too old and slow now? Also played the demo for "Fracture", which was rather lovely but could see becoming boring me thinks. Quietly excited about "Halo 3 Recon" tho, trailer was lovely with promises that I think Bungie can deliver.

1. Whatever looks better.  In general sharp lines will probably look best; but for maps, use light colors so the text isn't overwhelmed.  And jeez, get a tablet already. 
2. Again, it's an art, not a science... do what works for you.  But don't expect to make something permanent the first time.  If you expect to revise things later, it doesn't matter so much what order you use to create the first draft.  (My Historical Atlas and Verdurian dictionary went through at least three full revisions each before they were posted to the web.  And they can both use another go-around.)
3. I'm not sure I've played Civ4 with Raging Barbarians.  They can be an annoyance, but perhaps less so than the other civs, since they don't coordinate attacks.  I think the main effect would be to make you militarize a tad earlier, since ordinarily you have a little breather before the other civs come knocking.  The Great Wall can help if they're really bugging you.

Enquanto acontece a Tokyo Games Show, em Tokyo, é claro, vamos para um pouco mais perto, nos Estados Unidos, onde está acontecendo a BlizzCon, convenção da Blizzard, realizada anualmente para divulgar novidades sobre as três principais franquias que são Warcraft, Starcraft e Diablo.

Bem, esse post, como viram, é para falar em especial de Diablo III. No evento, que acontece entre os dias 10 e 11 de outubro, Mike Morhaime, presidente da empresa, disse que Diablo III pode muito bem ter uma versão para consoles. (Nem acredito!!!!!!!!)

"Em todos os jogos nós fazemos uma discussão sobre quais plataformas fazem mais sentido. De toda forma com Diablo III, acho que faremos uma avaliação", disse ele em entrevista durante a convenção. Ele ainda disse que existe um bom argumento para que esse tipo de jogo funcione muito bem em consoles. "Poderá haver algumas limitações técnicas que teremos que contornar", completou.

O diretor de Diablo III, Jay Wilson, disse que se for para fazer uma versão para consoles, eles farão com a melhor qualidade possível, e não de qualquer jeito só por fazer. "Nós nunca faríamos essa decisão se fosse comprometer a qualidade geral. nós poderíamos provavelmente fazê-lo a qualquer momento, poderíamos lançar o jogo e então decidir se queríamos uma versão de XBox 360 ou PS3".

Ótima notícia. Imaginem jogar Diablo III na live, assim como no Battle.net.

Vamos aguardar para mais detalhes, inclusive de quando sairá pelo menos a versão de PC.

How times have changed.  When I was growing up, my Dad would come home for lunch EVERY day.  My Mother would lovingly prepare "soup and sandwich" for us and my sister and I would dress up in my dad's leather coat with faux fur collar, scarf and fedora and play hide-n-seek.  My sister actually called this game "Know where me are Daddy?" (and she was the bright one so that doesn't say a lot about yours truly).

We just thought this was normal and that every family spent this much quality time together.  Nowadays this just isn't conceivable.  We find it hard enough to have dinner together as a family at times between our two chalk-full google calendars and commitments to after hours work and social engagements.

We are certainly committed to making the most of every day and we are fortunate enough to enjoy a lot of time together as a family.  Tonight was soccer in Queen Elizabeth Park and we are off to the Waterfront theatre tomorrow to watch the Hungry Caterpillar.  The Pumpkin Patch is on the top of the agenda for this upcoming long weekend as well.

My father worked for the same company for 43 years and in our 15 year careers my husband and I have worked for 10 and 9 different employers respectively, including gigs as freelancers and consultants.

My parents bought their house for $38 000, ours was close to half a million.

My parents original stove in their house was 40 years old and looked like it had never been used.  Ours is 6 years old and is falling apart.

What has remained consistent over time though is the family values my parents instilled in me since I was a child.  Work hard, give and earn respect and be true to yourself and even at the mach three pace in which we lead our lives today, these core values are still the foundation which we live by.  For as much as things change, certain things will always remain the same.

For all you Canadians who will be stuffing yourselves with turkey and pumpkin pie this weekend, make sure you take time to give thanks.  Thanks for family, for good health, thanks for years gone by and thanks in advance for the years ahead.

A nova aventura de 007 nos games ainda não chegou às lojas, mas um "aperitivo" já está disponível para os jogadores. A versão de demonstração de "Quantum of solace: the game" para PC tem download gratuito no Baixatudo.

A versão demo tem 689 MB de tamanho, está em inglês e funciona com Windows XP ou Vista.

O jogo é produzido pela Activision e será lançado na temporada de final de ano para PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 e 3, Wii e o portátil DS.

Uma das principais investidas do agente 007 nos games foi com "GoldenEye 007", jogo de tiro lançado em 1997 para o Nintendo 64.

O game "Quantum of solace" traz espisódios do filme homônimo, que chega aos cinemas entre outubro e novembro, e de "Casino Royale", filme de 2006. O herói do game é inspirado em Daniel Craig, que interpreta Bond no cinema.

Os cinco melhores colocados, dentro dos critérios de avaliação do concurso, terão Nelsinho Piquet como adversário em evento presencial para o certame final do game virtual, e concorrerão a ingressos para o GP Brasil, entre outros prêmios.

Os 250 melhores classificados no game on-line poderão assistir a competição final com o Nelsinho, participar um bate-papo com o piloto e, ainda, concorrer aos ingressos.


Premiação

Yayyy!!! thumbs up to Malaysia team for winning 2nd place in "Warcraft Defense of Ancients" game (5v5 DotA) during electronic sports world cup (ESWC 2008), which was held in San Jose Convention Center in California, US, from 25th to 27th of August. Omedeto gozaimasu...Sugoii na kimitachi wa..... Diz ESWC was conducted since 2003 by the Games Services, which was da 1st time conducted outside France diz year.  Malaysian team, Kingsurf, defeats Pakistan (S3X), Sweden (SK gaming), Canada (Nafu), France (serious gaming) & US (evil geniuses) to become grup A winner and met Singoporean team, Zenith (winner of grup B), for final round. Young (and old) men and women alike from around the globe, filling gymnasiums, cracking knuckles, readjusting glasses, and competing at such games as bridge, chess, checkers, go, draughts and xiangqi (pronounced "象棋") for the glory of a gold medal.  

Consider it the Olympics of the Mind (Who's the P.R. firm on this one, by the way? "Mind Olympics" taken?)

Unless you count adderall crushed in a cup of coffee, it's finally a worldwide competition where "performance-enhancing drugs" is a non-issue.

A battle of wit. A battle of skill. And a battle I'm pretty sure the U.S. wasn't invited to. At least as far as I can tell.

Because so far, not a single medal has gone to a country anywhere near the Western Hemisphere. But China's kicking butt. Maybe we should take Bobby Fisher to a pet cemetery or fly in Mike                                                                    Ditka. There's only a week left.
