It's nice to be in communication with Rick. he wants me to call him and go to additional personal expense so he can avoid putting anything in writing.

For whatever reason, he calls his full email "lengthy" and I agree. It is far too long and says way too little. All I wanted to know was how I'd be paid....

And he's keeping that to himself. he has way too many positive things to worry about.

here's his email below... signed off with the words "to your success" The only success I am interested in from Rick Moore is the success of being paid my march Commission.

please share
Chris
Hello Chris,

I'm sorry that you are in a different time zone and can't call me. I would like to answer all of your questions personally and can do that a lot faster by phone. I really don't have the time to type these lengthy emails back and forth to each other. We have too many positive things going on now that I can be thankful about.

I wish you only the best and call me when you can.

Please share this blog as a warning to people getting trapped in Instant Global Pay. They do not pay their commissions. Stay away from IGP

update!

Hi folks, after 31 days of trying, I received an email from Rick Moore telling me how sorry he is about my commission. And if I phone him, he will "gladly give me a report?" 31 days of nothing and now he wants to give me a report?

Of course Rick Moore advises that neither he nor Mal Vanover, the other guy who has ignored me for 31 days, have nothing to do with the money side. They only deal with "money in" from unsuspecting folks who believe these guys are legitimate.

Rick says he is more than happy to bring me up to date..."BUT, creating negative blogs about IGP is only going to hurt the ones that have stuck in there while the new ownership puts all of this back in order"

But, but but! If I had not turned this blog, I'm sure I'd still be waiting to get a response. And what about all those people that are going to get hurt by my blog? I am guessing they are already hurt from not being paid either... So who is this blog really hurting, Rick Moore and IGP?

I sent Rick my paypal address, just as if they have never had it. If by some miracle, the funds are added, I'll let you know.
thanks
Chris

pass this around... stop a scam.

SILIGURI, May 6: The Darjeeling district administration has called in additional police forces in view of the Gorkha Jana Mukti Morcha’s public meeting at the Indira Gandhi Maidan in Siliguri tomorrow. According to police sources, 900 of the extra forces, summoned from the adjoining sub-divisions, would be deployed in and around the venue adjacent to the National Highway (NH) 31. The rest would be kept on standby at the police reserve, Mallaguri in the town. While the GJMM spokesperson Mr Binoy Tamang said that they were expecting a gathering of about two and half lakh supporters at the Siliguri meeting tomorrow, the administration is assuming a gathering of nearly a lakh.

According to the IGP (north Bengal), Mr KL Tamta, 12 IPS officers including the Jalpaiguri SP and 24 DSPs would be on duty at the meeting venue and elsewhere in Siliguri during the meeting hours tomorrow.
There would be five assistance booths for guiding the crowd, which would be jointly manned by the police and the GJMM volunteers. As per the GJMM spokesperson, about 4,000 party volunteers including a sizeable number of Gorkha ex-servicemen would be assisting the police in maintaining the crowd. “Eleven speakers would address the gathering,” he said.

Hi there internet business punters.

How many of you out there have been "shafted" when it comes time to be paid? It's simply an awful feeling, agree?

Just as a follow up to IGP, (Instant Global Pay) not paying me my March Commission, I just thought potential IGP recruits might like to know that so far, I have still not received any response whatsoever from IGP, Rick Moore or Mal Vanover. As we head into week three of attempting contact. And yes, I have continued in my attempts to contact IGP through their Support, vis emails to Rick Moore and emails to Mal Vanover.

I guess that Mal Vanover and Rick Moore probably think I will lay down and forget about this, but I really feel passionate about people taking other peoples money, so not only am I not going away, I am asking anyone who has a blog that feels like publishing my poor experience with IGP to do so.

Let's see if we can save some others from paying to join, only to find that they get ignored when it is time to be paid. It's an awful feeling when you have done work and promoted a seemingly legitimate business, to be ignored when it comes time to be paid.

Please do not join these guys. There are plenty of good schemes out there where the businesses communicate with their members. It appears IGP is not one of those, certainly they have not demonstrated this to now.

Email me with any questions.

Well, IGP, Instant Global Pay, push on, seeking new members, rolling out new pay plans and holding all the phone calls to attract newcomers are still happening.

My issue started with IGP a just over two weeks back. It relates to receiving my March Commission. I can't say categorically that they are not paying me. In fact, I can't get any response out of them. My last response from IGP was from a person named Mal Vanover. He responded to my request for payment with the words "Thanks, I will try and have an answer for you."

All efforts and attempts to contact since this (non) response, seven days ago, including emails to Rick Moore, who appears to be the "master Distributor" have remained unanswered.

It started earlier than this. I actually placed my request through their help desk via a support ticket on April 15th, 2008. This, in spite of their website promise was not answered and I followed up with another addition to the "ticket" on 4/21/08.

It was then that I received a response in the support ticket system as follows

4/21/2008 8:54:26 PM Please email me at malvanover@gmail.com and I will have an answer for you.
Thanks

I sent the email and was then sent an email asking me to give the same details I had placed in the support ticket, which I did on 4/21.

Then I got Mal's "I'll try" response and nothing since in spite of additional efforts from me.

So folks, it's not often that I actually spend money on adwords but I figure if these guys can take my money and ignore my requests for commission payment... the very least I can do is to let other people know. I would not want anyone else to get caught out the same way I have been. Losing money, or having the grief of trying to be paid and just getting the "brush off".

There are lot's of decent folks out there, running decent programs. I thought IGP was one of them. I guess we all make mistakes.
regards

Chris

ps

I sent this article to IGP before publishing it with a view to not needing to publish. It's just a pity they don't value their business enough to respond.

Malay Mail

From time to time, the general public is advised to co-operate with the Police to bring criminals to book. Reading a case like the one below, would any sane man or woman would want to do it. It is a known fact that car repossess have connections with the Police and that is the reason why they act indifferently to their work and are ready to be tough and bully the car owners.

The DGP appears innocent of what is happening. By right he says, every police station must have one-way mirrors, but they may be some stations without one. The DGP saying this, is shocking, has he not got a record of such logistics problems on all Police stations in the country. Normally such information is ready available from records, but in this case the DGP may have to travel throughout the breadth and width of the country, personally to gather the information. Good he may be then gainfully employed.

He is in the dark of what Police stations have and don't. A sorry state of affairs, which the IGP must take not of.

By right he says one-way mirrors are the norm, and due to the ignorance of the DGP, no instruction were given to the Police at Sungei Buloh to carry out identification parade at a different location. Can the DGP accept responsibuility for this.

I suggest the IGP conducts a personal inquiry, the DGP is part of the bungling and put right the DGP and the Police officers in Sungei Buloh. Maybe discipline them against a recurrence. Will he do that? Incidently does the IGP knows Police stations which do not have one-way mirrors - just out of curiosity.

Deputy IGP takes up issue
MEERA MURUGESAN and MUZLIZA MUSTAFA

KUALA LUMPUR: “I am not happy about it and I will bring it up.”

Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Ismail Omar, said this after Weekend Mail told him about a woman and her children’s experience in an open identifi cation parade at the Sungai Buloh police station.

“By right, most police stations should have one-way mirrors, but due to time and logistic problems, there may be some stations without one.” Ismail, however, could not provide details on how many stations have yet to be equipped with such a facility.

He said even though the Sungai Buloh police station does not have a one-way mirror, the offi cers could have arranged for the identifi cation parade to be done at another station equipped with it.

“We understand how the victims feel and they must be protected.” In the incident, legal adviser Devi (not her real name) was made to identify — face-to-face — three car repossessors who allegedly threatened her and her family after their attempts to take her car failed.

It took place in an open room at the Sungai Buloh police station on March 4.

“I felt like I had been thrown into the lion’s den.” She said there were 17 people lined up for the identifi cation parade — and they were talking as if they knew each other.

Among them were the three men who had earlier threatened and hurled abuses at her and her children.

“The only thing that kept us apart was the big long table in between. What if they come after us?” Devi, 44, said the ID parade was held after they lodged a police report on March 3.

“We felt threatened by their behaviour and they threatened to kill my son.” Devi said it started when she sent her husband to a bank in Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh at 2.40pm to cash a cheque and pay for her car payment, which was two months overdue. She was accompanied by her daughter, son and a friend, an Indian national.

While driving around to wait for her husband, a car overtook them and blocked her car. Devi said the men came out and told her to alight as they were going to repossess the car.

When she refused, the men hurled abuses at her.

“The men were big and aggressive. Frightened, I drove home as it was not far from town.” She said the men followed her, even driving past the security guard stationed at her residential area.

Meanwhile, another car joined the ‘convoy’.

Devi called her husband who then contacted the police for help. Both cars left after being chased by the guard.

“My son went to the security booth and told me the two cars were still there.

When they saw him, they threatened to beat and kill him. He was so frightened he didn’t walk home but jumped over the fence to get in.” She said a patrol car came and the policemen advised her to lodge a report.

“That’s what we did after I picked up my husband from the bank.” While her daughter and 16-year-old son fi led a report on the incident at the Sungai Buloh police station, her husband lodged one against the bank for leaking their personal information to the other party as they suspect the three men were not authorised repossessors.

“If the repossession order was out, the account would be blocked, but it was still active when my husband banked in the car loan payment.” Devi said when she took a breather outside the police station, she bumped into the same men who entered the premises. She claimed that one of them indirectly threatened her by telling someone over the cell phone to “carry” in Tamil after giving her car registration number.

She informed the investigating offi cer of the men’s presence. The inspector took their identifi cation cards and other documents from them.

“It seemed that they also lodged a police report.” Devi said they were told to come for the ID parade the next day. The family waited in a hallway and Devi was called in fi rst.

“When I entered the room, I was shocked to see about 17 men, including the suspects, lined up in front of me. I was asked to point my fi nger at the suspects.

“When I was done, one of the men made a call and told the other person on the line that I’ve identifi ed them.” She said she was asked to leave the room through a door close to the suspects.

“One of them said to me, ‘You are going home after this, right?’” Devi claimed that her daughter and son got similar remarks from the suspects.

When she complained to the IO, she said the offi cer told her that it was the procedure, and raised his voice.

She said they encountered the three suspects again outside the station.

“They hurled abuses at us.

No one at the station came out to check the commotion although they could see it clearly through the glass entrance.” Devi said she and her family now live in fear.

“I went to the right channel and thought that I would be protected, but I didn’t feel that at all.”

Instant Global Pay does not look fashionable! It sounds kind of “hokey” on first look, b

Instant Global Pay does not look fashionable! It sounds kind of "hokey" on first look, but this little sleeper deserves to be examined more closely.
As Gas Prices escalate, people are planning less trips per week in the family car to stop the expense. Some retired folks have no choice, they just can not afford the gas, so stay at home.

The owners of Instant Global Pay picked up on the pain and offer up to $25.00 a day that can be spent on gas or gifts. And that's just a bonus! A thank you for being involved.

Do you need to do some work with IGP? YES! This is not one of those "join, do nothing and you will be showered with riches" programs. I have yet to see a program work where you did not need to do something!

So, here's a list of what you need to do to have Instant Global Pay working for you
1. Begin by joining for a one time only $150. That's right, no monthly autoship. One time only $150, that's all.
2. Begin sharing with as many people as fast as you can
3. Teach those people to share with others.
4. Sponsor two people minimum your self

Once you have sponsored two people, one in each leg, you are qualified to receive payments. Your first payment comes when you have three new members in each of your two legs.

It is called a cycle (3 new members in each leg) and pays you $150 each time this occurs. This can happen as often as you desire. It depends on you and the team you build.

A Cycle can happen several times a year, several times a month... and even several times per day! Each time you cycle, you qualify for $25 gift or gas card. This is to a maximum of once per day.

Some people are cycling several times per day already, earning $150 each time. Remember, every person only pays $150 ONCE ONLY! so after your first cycle, you are in profit with a $25.00 gift card. After your second cycle, you have more than doubled your money. And there is nothing stopping you from there... nothing at all from cycling as often as you can!

The potential for a one time payment is really unbelievable, but it's true.

When you join, you receive your product which is 400 fresh leads for people looking for opportunities. You can use these leads to promote IGP or any other business. Yes, there are rules and you need to treat the leads with the same respect you'd expect. No spamming is tolerated. check the fast facts out here about IGP

The IGP section again, was quite straight forward, with the usual OSPF over FR shenanigans going on,

The IGP section again, was quite straight forward, with the usual OSPF over FR shenanigans going on, where by not being able to change one of the interface types, so have to match the others accordingly.

OSPF

This was a simple hub and spoke setup, with a NON_BROADCAST interface at the hub that couldn't be changed. All other spoke interface were using the physical interfaces, so didn't need to be changed, apart from R2 that was a point-to-point sub interface that needed to be changed to OSPF interface NON_BROADCAST. Always remember to set the spokes to priority 0 when on a NON_BROADCAST network so they don't try to become the DR for the segment - and remember to manually specify the neighbors under the OSPF process on the DR (hub).

R3 (HUB)

router ospf 1
router-id 150.1.3.3
neighbor 162.1.0.2
neighbor 162.1.0.4
neighbor 162.1.0.5

Rack1R3#sh ip ospf int s1/0
Serial1/0 is up, line protocol is up
Internet Address 162.1.0.3/24, Area 0
Process ID 1, Router ID 150.1.3.3, Network Type NON_BROADCAST, Cost: 64
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State DR, Priority 1

R2 (SPOKE)

interface Serial1/0.1 point-to-point
ip address 162.1.0.2 255.255.255.0
ip ospf network non-broadcast
ip ospf priority 0
frame-relay interface-dlci 203

Rack1R2#sh ip ospf int s1/0.1
Serial1/0.1 is up, line protocol is up
Internet Address 162.1.0.2/24, Area 0
Process ID 1, Router ID 150.1.2.2, Network Type NON_BROADCAST, Cost: 64
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State DROTHER, Priority 0

EIGRP Metrics

There was a task to tweak EIGRP to use bandwidth, delay and load as part of the metric calculation. An additional task was to make sure the bandwidth value is 3 times more significant than delay and load.

Rack1R3#sh run | s eigrp
router eigrp 200
metric weights 0 3 1 1 0 0

The K values need to match on each device within the EIGRP AS, in order for the neighbor adjacency to form, so this needed to be applied to all routers within AS 200.

Routing Redundancy

Task to ensure R5 remains available when its FR connection goes down to the OSPF domain. There is a PP link configured between R4 and R5 (R4 is in the OSPF domain). This task stated that static routes were allowed, so this hinted at floating static routes.

Create routes on R4 pointing to R5 networks via the PPP link, but set them with an AD higher than the OSPF routes that are in the table.

ip route 150.1.5.0 255.255.255.0 162.1.45.5 111
ip route 162.1.5.0 255.255.255.0 162.1.45.5 111
ip route 162.1.55.0 255.255.255.0 162.1.45.5 111

Redistribute these statics into OSPF (they will only be distributed when the routes are actually in the table)

router ospf 1
router-id 150.1.4.4
redistribute static subnets

On R5 make sure there is a route out the the rest of the network when the FR (OSPF) link is down

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 162.1.45.4 111

As these routes have a manually configured AD of 111 which is higher than OSPF's AD of 110 they don't appear in the routing table when OSPF learned routes are present. Once the OSPF routes are removed the statics with the AD of 111 come into effect.

IGP Redistribution

The redistribution on this lab was quite easy, no multiple redistribution points, so no need for any filtering. There were a couple of differences between my solution and the SG, but it appeared to me that they had some additional configuration that wasn't asked for (or needed) to get reachability across the network. A quick check on the IE forum showed that a few people had the same issue, so I decided to leave my solution as it was. Seeing as my ping scripts worked just fine.

So I did the core section for Lab 5 this morning. The L2 section was quite straight forward - nothing too tricky, and time wise didnt take long to complete at all.

PPP

To turn on reliable transport over a PPP link use the ppp reliable-link command

interface Serial1/1
ip address 162.1.45.4 255.255.255.0
encapsulation ppp
ppp reliable-link

This is easy enough to figure out from the ? on the command prompt.

CAM Table Management

There was a task to ensure the CAM table doesnt fill with entries, by ensuring inactive entries time out after 10 seconds:

mac-address-table aging-time 10

Again, easy enough to work out form the command line help.

Inspector General of Police,

Police Headquarters,

Colombo 1.

13th February 2008

Dear Sir,

A note alerting you to harassment faced by journalists in Sri Lanka by Civil Defense Committees and members of the Police

The Free Media Movement (FMM) would like to bring your attention significant problems faced by journalists and media workers in Sri Lanka in carrying out their duties. We firmly recognize the need to take into account the prevailing security situation in the country in your deliberations on the protection of all civilians from violence and harm. At the same time, we stress that security measures thus taken must not impinge on and severely undermine fundamental constitutional rights including the freedom of expression, the freedom of movement and other rights that have a bearing on media freedom.

We wish to bring to your attention several cases in this regard. On 12th February 2008, Gemunu Amarasinghe, a well known photo-journalist working for Associated Press (AP) was arrested by civil defense committee members while he was covering students entering Isipathana College, Colombo. He was doing a photo story on the reopening of schools after being closed for a week. He was handed over to the police by members of the Civil Defense Committee and taken to the Narahenpita police station. He was released nearly two hours later after interventions by media institutions and organizations. His arrest and detention meant that he could not carry out his duty as a journalist.

On 23rd January 2008, freelance TV journalist Aravinda Sri Nissanka was arrested by Civil Defense Committee members in Ratmalana, South of Colombo, who threatened to assault him before handing him over to the Mount Lavinia police station. He was covering pedestrians crossing the road without any consideration of colour lights. Police officers verbally abused Aravinda, saying journalists were the cause for all troubles in Sri Lanka and detained him for more than two hours without any reason.

In both these cases the journalists had due media accreditation that those who detained them did not accept as professional IDs. It is very clear that Civil Defense Committees organized by the police do not have any understanding of the rights of media workers or knowledge of media accreditation cards and show a disturbing tendency to resort to verbal abuse and mob violence. What is even more disturbing is the fact that the even the Police do not accept, or even seem to know the existence of journalist accreditation IDs.

We firmly assert that journalists and media workers have a right to gather and disseminate information in the public interest. Any means that directly or inadvertently curtails the rights journalists is tantamount to censorship. We believe the duty of the Police is to protect these rights that are the foundation of democracy. Sadly, in the both cases noted above, the actions of the Police were inimical to their role as defenders of rule of law, giving in as they did to the arbitrary actions of essentially over enthusiastic vigilantes.

More cases brought to the attention of the FMM over the course of this year alone prove this point further. On 12th February in Galle, the police kept 8 journalists in custody for two hours merely because they were covering an unruly incident in a Southern Provincial Council meeting. On the same day policemen posted at the entrance of the Government Secretariat in Batticaloa stopped two Muslim journalists - M. S. M. Noordeen and S. M. M. Mustafa - from entering the Secretariat premises. The policemen went on to verbally abuse the journalists.

We urge you to recall and adhere to the final verdict of the court in a case lodged by the journalist William Fernando of Mannar in January 2008, in which the court warned police to not harass journalists and delete photographs taken by them without due legal process. According to verdict only a court of law has the jurisdiction to confiscate or destroy photographs taken by journalists and media workers.

We urgently and firmly request you to,

Advise all police personnel on the rights and duties of media workers and journalists

Alert them to the fact that media accreditation cards exist and are valid IDs for all media workers and journalists

Be sensitive to the threats against media workers and journalists in Sri Lanka at a time of unprecedented censorship and violence directed against them

Advise members of all Civil Defense Committees that they should not impede and debar lawful activities of media workers and journalists

We strongly believe that official communication from your office on these matters will create an enabling environment for journalists to carry out their duties in gathering and dissemination information to report in the public interest, including capturing photographs, videos and audio.

We thank you in advance for you urgent attention to the important matters noted in this letter.

Sincerely,

Sunanda Deshapriya

I’ve just realised I didn’t publish yesterday’s posting. I’m still getting

I've just realised I didn't publish yesterday's posting. I'm still getting used to this blogging lark, and I must have clicked "Save" instead of "Publish". Anyways, it's there now.

I've got a 3 a.m. bout of insomnia, so I've just done some experiments with the routing protocols and static neighbors. Each protocol behaves differently. I am too tired to write up the experiment fully, but here are the conclusions:

RIP: When you configure a static neighbor, RIP continues to multicast on the network as well as sending unicasts to the neighbor. If you configure passive-interface, the unicasts can penetrate the wall, but the multicasts are blocked.

EIGRP: When you configure a static neighbor, EIGRP stops sending multicasts on the network, replacing them with the unicast. If you configure passive-interface, it blocks the unicast as well. Moreover, you cannot mix static and multicast between two neighbors; that is, you cannot configure a static neighbor on one side and the neighbor still sending multicast. They just don't form the adjacency.

OSPF does not allow static neighbors except in non-broadcast networks, i.e. NBMA or P2MP-NB. In that case, the multicasts are switched off anyway. passive-interface will block the unicasts as well. If you have a broadcast network, the only thing you can use the neighbor command for is to modify the cost for that neighbor.

Now I'm going back to bed.

I had some time at work a couple of days ago and picked a lab at random to work through. I chose lab

I had some time at work a couple of days ago and picked a lab at random to work through. I chose lab 6 which is rated a 7.

Doing the Volume I labs has actually helped with my speed for the core sections. I worked though the core of this lab in about 3.5 hours and to my surprise actually knew most of the material. I completed all core sections of this lab and did IPv6 and Multicast. I will finish it off over the coming weekend.

This lab is very OSPF focussed in the IGP section, with multiple OSPF areas on one side of the network that dont necessarily link directly to area 0. Good practice on virtual-link configuration. They also threw in area 0 message digest authentication - so had to remember that virtual-links are part of area 0.

OSPF Area Authentication

Area's are authenticated under the OSPF process as follows:

router ospf 1
router-id 150.1.5.5
area 0 authentication message-digest
area 45 authentication
area 45 virtual-link 150.1.4.4 message-digest-key 1 md5 CISCO

The md5 keys are specified under the interface:

interface Serial1/0
ip ospf message-digest-key 1 md5 CISCO

And standard authentication keys are applied as follows:

interface Ethernet0/1.45
ip ospf authentication-key CCIE

OSPF Default Route

We all know that you can originate a default route route into the OSPF domain using the default-information originate command. You can also use this with a route-map so the default route is only originated when the condition of the route-map is true.

First, create an ip prefix-list to match the routes you want to match.

ip prefix-list VLAN32 seq 5 permit 192.10.1.0/24
ip prefix-list VLAN363 seq 5 permit 204.12.1.0/24

Next, create the route-map to use the ip prefix-lists

route-map BB-LINK permit 10
match ip address prefix-list VLAN363
!
route-map BB-LINK permit 20
match ip address prefix-list VLAN32

Finally, apply the route-map to the default-information originate command

default-information originate route-map BB-LINK

route-map BB-LINK permit 10
match ip address prefix-list VLAN363
!
route-map BB-LINK permit 20
match ip address prefix-list VLAN32

OSPF Area Filtering

In this lab area 27 is connected between R2 and SW1. The requirement was to ensure that SW1 only had a default route advertised in from R2 (the ABR).

Earlier in the lab we had to redistribute interface lo0 into area 27, so this ruled out the totally-stubby area type, so the alternative was to make it a not so stubby totally stubby area - but with the extra no-redistribution keyword attached so we dont advertise the redistributed lo0 interface from R2 on SW1.

R2

router ospf 1
router-id 150.1.2.2
area 27 nssa no-redistribution no-summary

SW1

router ospf 1
router-id 150.1.7.7
area 27 nssa

Rack1SW1#sh ip ro
191.1.0.0/24 is subnetted, 4 subnets
C 191.1.177.0 is directly connected, Vlan777
C 191.1.27.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet1/8
C 191.1.7.0 is directly connected, Vlan7
C 191.1.77.0 is directly connected, Vlan77
150.1.0.0/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets
C 150.1.7.0 is directly connected, Loopback0
O*IA 0.0.0.0/0 [110/2] via 191.1.27.2, 00:36:08, FastEthernet1/8

EIGRP

The EIGRP config in this lab was minimal. The only task of note was to filter the link from BB1 so that only 54.1.3.254 could send EIGRP updates. Easy - create an ACL to specifically match the EIGRP traffic from BB1 and deny all other EIGRP traffic, then finally let all other traffic flow as normal.

ip access-list extended BB1
permit eigrp host 54.1.3.254 any
deny eigrp any any
permit ip any any

RIP

Filtering RIP routes without using distribute-list or offset-list. In this example all routes with an odd first octet are accepted into R3.

First, create an ACL to match the routes - remember we are only interested in the first octet.

access-list 20 permit 1.0.0.0 254.255.255.255

Next, under the RIP process set routes from a destination (and matching the ACL) to 255 - this will make them unreachable and thus not entered into the routing table.

router rip
version 2
distance 255 204.12.1.254 0.0.0.0 20
