            How many blogs/webpages/social apps does one person need you ask? 

                     Well, for those of us who are perpetually searching for the "right one", the answer is JUST ONE MORE!

My Spring ended with me getting my feelings hurt to the point of never wanting to date again. Which of course bounced me into dating a teeny bit again and then going back and REdeciding to bow out in exchange for working on myself and having fun.  I came to the realization that more than anything life is about having fun and enjoying your friends rather than putting unrealistic and unnecessary pressure on one's self to find TheOne.

A lot of stuff, well lets be honest.. LIES.. went on in the background of all of this because after all "all of our friends HATE you now!!!" Which lead to said friends and I reuniting to get the stories set straight and to basically shun FeelingsHurtMan and the fuckin' tornado he ran through all of our lives.

FeelingsHurtMan also stalked my damn blog found my previous blog and some other information which is why we've moved to WordPress.  But I was the one not over him.  RIIIIIIIIIIGHT.

Summer consisted of having fun and like I said working on myself. I bought kettlebells to add to my personal training repetoire and began using them as a sort of.. outlet for all of the frustrations that FeelingsHurtMan brought into my life. I also got into WoW and spent a few hours wasted here and there playing since my truck broke down at the time.

Got a new car, well new to me. A 2006 Scion Xb, which I adore with all of my little amazon heart. Had a birthday in August and began hanging out with a new (and super random) group of friends from a social networking/dating site. We have little game nights every other week and just.. unwind with Moscato and finger foods.

Also read (and are still reading) a ton of books. I can't get enough of them and have wasted too many hours (well between reading and WoW) some nights.
Now as the weather gets colder, the leaves begin changing and the holidays are just beyond the horizon I'm still working on me and not really dating. Which is fine. I do have prospects out there, TexasHoney being a front runner but shit...he lives in freakin' Texas. Although, not too far from my father's house out that way so a trip out that way isn't impossible. Plus, we're both planning on attending ComicCon next year as well. He's more of a good friend thus far, which is nice.

All in all, life is pretty good.  And I'll be sharing more of it with whomever stumbles across my little spot.  Game on.

A little bit about myself.  I'm a Canadian (Hence NORTHERN Gamer) and I enjoy playing many games, but over all i prefer my good ol' Computer.  Fav game so far is World Of Warcraft.

I also enjoy learning other things and trying everything at least once.  so far i am trying to learn the Japanese language so don't be  surprised if there is some random posts about it.

Comme prévu, j'ai débuté la modélisation 3D pour l'introduction du jeu.

Voici le vaisseau d'Elvis que j'appellerai désormais CAPSULE, je n'avais pas penser a ce mot avant ^^ pourtant j'avais dessiné la forme d'une gélule mais bon :)

J'ai réalisé la Terre avec une simple sphère et ensuite je lui ai appliqué un BUMP pour donner cet effet relief.

Je dois encore regarder a quelques paramètres et finir la modélisation de la Capsule, ensuite viendra le Mapping ^^

NOTE : L'excroissance est en fait le propulseur de la capsule, par contre je ne sais pas si je vais la garder comme ça ^^ ou peut être en faire 1 plus petit de chaque coté de la capsule, je verrai.

J'ai réalisé une animation avec les modélisations non terminée, histoire de faire un storyboard animé ^^

1.       Cost of Steam

Untuk general industry pada umumnya, steam merupakan aliran energi setelah listrik baru disusul oleh compressed air. Penggunaan steam didasari berbagai alasan yang dibahas dalam tulisan lain, sehingga dianggap paling menguntungkan.

Dari perhitungan terlampir, diperoleh tiap Kg Steam dengan bahan bakar :

Solar            à Rp.124,-/ Kg

Batubara      à Rp. 44,-/ Kg

Berdasarkan jam kerja mesin/ boiler per Kg kebocoran :

Solar            8000 jam kerja   à 8000 x Rp. 124 = Rp. 992.000,-

                   2000 jam kerja   à 2000 x Rp. 124 = Rp. 248.000,-

Batubara      8000 jam kerja   à 8000 x Rp. 44 = Rp. 352.000,-

                   2000 jam kerja   à 2000 x Rp. 44 = Rp. 88.000,-

8000 = 24 jam x 7 hari x 50 minggu/ tahun

2000 = 8 jam x 5 hari x 50 minggu/ tahun

Sehingga tidak dapat mengandalkan lubang/ fixed orifice tertentu untuk membuang kondensat. Termasuk biaya oleh lubang kerusakan pipa dengan diameter dan tekanan tertentu dapat dilihat pada grafik kebocoran steam terlampir.

Steam trap ½” (DN15) memiliki 3 mm orifice, pada grafik dengan tekanan 3 bar menyebabkan biaya 10 Kg steam x harga steam x jam kerja untuk dibandingkan return investasinya.

2.       Steam Vs Condensate

Perbedaan phase pada air memiliki kandungan energi panas yang Sangat jauh. Dari cair menjadi gas diperlukan sejumlah pemanasan pada item 1, untuk kemudian ditransfer dan menjadi kondensat/ cair kembali.

Jadi, apakah kita mentransfer panas dari gas steam atau air ?

Inilah perlunya pemisahan kondensat dari steam dengan menggunakan steam trap. Karena sifat fisik yang kelihatan saja dapat disimpulkan bahwa steam memiliki panas dan transfer energi yang jauh lebih besar.

3.       Pressure Drop

Grafik disamping menunjukkan hubungan antara temperature dengan tekanan steam. Sehingga jika terjadi penurunan tekanan akibat kebocoran maka juga terjadi penurunan suhu dan panas yang dapat ditransfer.

4.       Higher Velocity Less Energy Transfer (Semakin cepat, semakin kecil transfer panas)

 Perlu diimajinasikan bahwa transfer panas adalah akibat sentuhan antara steam dan product. Periode waktu contact yang dihasilkan oleh aliran steam akan turun jika steam mengalir terlalu cepat oleh kebocoran.

Artinya, waktu contact tidak cukup untuk mentransfer panas dan merubah steam menjadi kondensat untuk kemudian baru dikeluarkan dengan steam trap.

5.       Steam and Presurized condensate line (steam dan tekanan pada pipa kondensat)

Kondensat yang keluar dari steam trap dengan tekanan tertentu, memiliki flash yang dihasilkan dari energy yang terkandung pada suhu diatas 100oC.

Pipa kondensat yang bertekanan :

-          mengganggu steam trap lain, karena mengurangi differential pressure

-          mengganggu aliran kondensat.,

Disamping adalah gambaran kondisi pipa kondensat berisi 99,44% flash dan 0,56% kondensat.

B. HOW TO CHOOSE A TRAP ?

1.       Quality

Untuk mendapatkan kualitas barang yang handal, material adalah segalanya. telah mempertimbangkan part/ bagian yang harus menggunakan stainless steel/ carbon steel atau cast steel dan sebagainya.

Material adalah Fix Cost yang harus ditanggung dalam produksi, sehingga menentukan porsi harga.

2.       Performance Curve

Setiap produk harus disertai dengan performance curve yang menunjukkan kinerjanya.

Dalam hal ini kita dapat menentukan ukuran dan tipe yang tepat sesuai dengan keperluan. Karena kembali ke permasalan oversize=biaya, undersize=kinerja buruk.

Perlu diingat bahwa setiap merk memiliki kurva performance tertentu yang berbeda sebagaimana mobil memiliki tingkat akselerasi.

3.       Easy Maintenance

Excellent design, excellent product.

Fakta menunjukkan bahwa design steam trap, terutama ball float memiliki struktur yang paling sederhana dan mudah untuk perawatan.

Internal part yang terbuat dari stainless steel, mudah dibersihkan karena endapan carry over. Dan precisely (tepat) dapat dikembalikan untuk memperoleh kinerja yang sama seperti sebelumnya.

4.       Field engineer support

Yang berpengalaman dan didukung dari cabang lain dengan tingkat komunikasi yang tinggi. membantu customer untuk menentukan beban mesin, jenis, ukuran, cara pemasangan steam traps yang unik.

Produk yang bagus tidak dapat berkerja dengan baik jika tidak mendapatkan perlakuan yang baik pula. Karena factor-faktor instalasi dan lingkungan sangat berpengaruh, sehingga memerlukan sensei yang tepat untuk mengatasinya.

5.       Feel Convenience

Mesin produksi diukur berdasarkan jam kerja dan load factornya. Jika system terkombinasi dengan baik, maka performance keseluruhan akan menjadi baik. meskipun secara individual steam dapat dihitung biaya return dan efisiensinya perlu diingat bahwa :

§         kegagalan treatment steam akan menyebabkan kerusakan pada bagian lain

           rotary joint pada cylinder dryer

           corrosive pada heat exchanger

           erosi pada tubing

§         kualitas produk oleh stabilitas jumlah dan kecepatan transfer panas

§         produktivitas karyawan meningkat oleh efisiensi pekerjaan

Someone though it would be a good idea if I introduced you to my family, so I suppose I should. Although be warned. They redefine lameness.

It's obviously a couple of years old. See how Mom dressed me? I blame her for everything that's happened to me. I mean, pink? Seriously?
I've since dyed my hair too. Hello? I do not need to look like some blonde bimbo. 

Okay, who do we have? My grandfather, Opa Vili, doesn't live with us any more, thank goodness. He's such a kook! He's the one who moved to the US from Germany with his parents when he was a little boy about a hundred years ago (his time lines seem to be a bit liberal at times), and he's made it his mission to become super-American, whatever that means.
He's holding my baby brother Maxi, bac\k when he was still an actual baby.

Next top him is me. Yes, I *do* smile for photos. Or I did back before I knew better than to be such a dork.S hut up.

Next are my parents, Dr. and Dr. Regenmeier. Dad's a climatologist and Mom does some sort of sciency research thing at college. They're total brainiacs.

So is Carsten, my older brother who's at college now, too. Not the same one my mom teaches at, though. he couldn't wait to move out.
I like Carsten. We kind of stay in touch via IM and he updates me on the latest goings-on on campus. not sure when he has the time to check it out though, since he's always holed up in his room hacking video games.

In the front is Willy, aka casanova junior. I don't know why but even back when we were children, he always had a flock of girls swarming around him. Major yuck factor. 

And then there's the most important family member: Waldi, our awesome little Dachshund. He's a great dog, if not exactly the smartest.

And that's my family for you. Or, well, my family from about six years ago...

Don't expect any kind of consistent update, but more of a sprinkling of ideas and the like.

My first reaction when I saw that number?

HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!! 

You know, I was always one of those girls who never EVER revealed her weight (my boyfriend doesn't even know how much I weigh...well, he knows now.  Fingers crossed he'll stick around!  Lol).  Seriously, I knew it was high (not that high, but high enough), but I'm one of those girls that tends to placate herself with statements like "you don't look like you weigh that much," or "you have a lot of muscle, and duh, muscle weighs more than fat."  So when I weighed myself today after at least a year of saying "You know, who cares what the number is, I'm going to live my life," I finally came to the conclusion that I have been trudging towards for longer than I care to admit: I HAVE to lose weight.  All self-deprecation aside, I'm a fatass through and through, and honestly?  It's not becoming.  So, I've decided to use this little blog o'mine as a vehicle with which to achieve my goals; what are those goals you might ask?  They're simple, no specific numbers to meet, but rather feelings.  1) I want to FEEL BETTER.  I'm one of those classics who can't walk up 2 flights of stairs without feeling winded (gross).  Also, there are a lot of times during which I just feel heavy.  Not so far as the way I look, but as far as how I feel when I walk around in my everyday life.  My knees crack, my hips hurt...I just feel as if I'm too heavy for my frame (i.e. skinny girl in a fat suit).  2) I want to be HEALTHIER.  There's heart disease in my family.  There's high blood pressure in my family.  There's diabetes in my family.  I'm healthy as of right now (thank God).  The point of the matter is, I do not want to end up having any of those problems...I'd like to live a long time, and be healthy while doing so.  And finally, number 3) I want to look better.  Hello, does anyone know what it feels like to be asked 4 times in one year when they're due?  Ladies, if it hasn't happened to you, be grateful, because it's like getting a punch in the box.  And it makes you cry (well, if you have a penchant for crying, like I do).  Honestly, my boyfriend took pictures of our camping trip this weekend (he's a born photographer, I'll never escape seeing myself in terrible pictures--it's a good thing too, not looking at pictures of myself would probably fuel my denial), and I looked about 7 months pregnant in all of them.  I'm thoroughly disgusted with myself, and I'm done making excuses. 

Therefore, here I am.  I'll be posting to this blog hopefully everyday with my daily trials and tribulations, pertaining mostly to my weight loss quest.  But since I'm a political junkie and with a Presidential election coming up, I will be waxing political now and again as well (Obama-Biden '08!!!).  So, I hope some people may come and visit, leave a comment here or there, and join me in my journey; we'll see how it goes.
