<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hur smart blir man? Finns det någon övre gräns, det finns ju de som har 10 ungar? Hur mäter man före/efter? Räknas adoptivbarn? Makens barn? Eller måste man ha haft alla bullarna i ugnen själv?</p>
<p>Undrar om det inte är mer så att det är ens EQ som utvecklas och kanske inte IQ. En del mammor jag vet var panndöa redan innan de fick barn och inte är de smartare idag. Det biter kanske inte på alla?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Mahar dengan Seroja dalam Lasykar Pelangi]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Kalau blogger mania melihat tulisan saya yang berjudul Seribu Jenis Kecerdasan Manusia maka karakter]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kalau blogger mania melihat tulisan saya yang berjudul <a href="http://koestoer.wordpress.com/2008/01/07/seribu-jenis-kecerdasan-manusia/"><strong>Seribu Jenis Kecerdasan Manusia</strong></a> maka karakter Mahar dalam film Lasykar Pelangi tercermin secara utuh.  Kalau mau baca tentang kecerdasan manusia di blog ini artikel seribu jenis kecerdasan ini menduduki peringkat kedua setelah Lasykar Pelangi. Jadi perhatian orang terhadap kecerdasan memang besar.</p>
<p>Back to Mahar, jadi sebenarnya sekolah itu terutama SD SMP SMA, bukanlah melulu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan akademis siswa (maksudnya matematika dan pelajaran2 lain) tapi juga untuk menumbuhkembangkan bakat lain. Termasuk didalamnya bakat seni dan olahraga. Semua itu kita kategorikan sama artinya bukan kemampuan akademis lebih dihargai dari kemampuan lain. Dengan demikian sistem ranking itu juga salah karena dia hanya mengkategorikan kemampuan akademis semata.</p>
<p>FIlm Lasykar Pelangi dengan tokohnya Mahar menunjukkan bagaimana seorang siswa menunjukkan kreatifitas seninya sehingga walaupun dengan asesoris yang sederhana tapi murah bisa menjuarai lomba karnaval, dibanding sekolah lain yang menggunakan peralatan drumband yang mahal.</p>
<p>Khusus lagu Seroja saya singgung sedikit disini. Selesai nonton film itu saya bergumam menyanyikan lagu ini...</p>
<p>Hiasan sanggul remaja putri remaja...</p>
<p>Anak saya (10 th) terheran-heran mendengar saya bisa melantunkan langsung lagu  ini. "Koq bapak tahu sih lagu itu.."</p>
<p>- Nak sayang... tentu saja bapak tahu, lagu ini sangat bapak sukai. Dulu waktu bapak kecil (SD th 60 an) lagu ini sangat terkenal dibawakan oleh Hussein Bawafi dan dalam deretannya ada lagu lain yang juga terkenal yaitu Lambaian Bunga dan Semalam di Malaysia. Bapak senang sekali menyanyikan lagu melayu jenis ini. Kalau dibawakan pakai suling kayanya cocok deh.-</p>
<p>Adakah yang punya mp3 nya ? Tolong dong di upload ke youtube buat dilihat ramai2.</p>
<p>Dan ternyata karakter Mahar ini jug adisukai oleh anak sekarang. Lihat saja diskusinya diinternet:</p>

Sekolah itu tujuannya bukan untuk menjadikan seorang siswa itu jadi SAINTIS (kurikulum bodoh dari diknas itu modifikasilah), tapi agar siswa itu menjadi dirinya sendiri. Andaikan saja populasi jenis kecerdasan itu terbagi rata saja maka para guru sudah menyia-nyiakan kemampuan dari 70% siswanya. Lha mereka itu sebagian besar jadinya... Mau dikemanain ?</p>

En massa kommentatorer och bloggare testar sig själva och struttar runt med sina fina resultat. Jag kan ju inte vara sämre (eller jo, det kan jag...) så jag gjorde testet jag också:</p>

<p>122 gulddubloner är min hjärna värd! Jag är nöjd, men jag skulle vilja ligga på 130, då skulle jag känna mig smart. Trygg liksom. Om någon är ute efter samma tjej som jag så skulle jag kunna tänka "Ha! Jag har ju 130 i IQ så det är klart hon inte kommer välja den där framför mig!" Jag tror allt skulle bli mycket lättare om man hade 130. Man skulle aldrig spilla något på sina kläder till exempel. Alla skulle vara lite rädda för en, för de skulle tänka "Oooh, han har 130, hoppas jag inte gör honom sur för då kanske han tittar på mig och skjuter eldklot med ögonen." Dessutom skulle man få mycket mer tid på sig för att betala räkningar, om man ens behöver det då. Så lite besviken är jag.</p>
<p>Å andra sidan finns det såna som gärna berättar att de har 130+ men som inte kan se skillnad på en bordell och ett dansbandshak! :) (Lite internt)</p>
<p>En sak som gladde mig var att jag var jämn i mina delresultat. Testet mäter ens ordminne, symbolminne och förmåga till abstrakt, verbalt och matematiskt tänkande. Det låter en sedan veta om man avviker på någon del i förhållande till sitt totala resultat. Jag hade ett "förväntat" resultat på alla delarna, dvs diffade inte någonstans, vare sig uppåt eller neråt. Eftersom jag värdesätter att vara allround så kändes det bra.</p>
<p>Hur smart är <em>du</em> på en skala?</p>

The greater the analytical requirements of a task, the greater the involvement of the left hemisphere. The <strong>right hemisphere</strong> is more involved in functions relating to emotional sounds, voice recognition, prosodic melody of speech, pitch perception, melodies and chords. The greater the prosodic, harmonic or timbre content of the function, the greater the involvement of the right hemisphere.“<a class="sdfootnoteanc" name="sdfootnote2anc" href="#sdfootnote2sym"><sup>2</sup></a></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:0;" align="justify"><span style="font-size:x-small;">Teisisõnu, aju vasemal ja paremal poolkeral on helide ja erinevate tähenduste tõlgendamisel eri rollid. Vasem ajupoolkera tegeleb siis analüütikaga, keeruliste rütmide ja suulise semantika korrastamise ning erinevate jadade ja suhetega. Parem ajupoolkera, see-eest, keskendub emotsioonidele, häälele ja kõnele, helikõrgustele, meloodiatele ja akordidele, harmooniatele ja tämbritele.</span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:0;" align="justify"><span style="font-size:x-small;">Poolkeradel on eri ülesanded ja suutlikkus ka laiemas plaanis. Ja teada on ka, et inimeseti on aju poolkerade suutlikkusvahekorrad erinevad. Populaarpsühholoogias – mida on ka käesolev tekst – rõhutatakse poolkerade vastandlikkust ehk liiga mustvalgeks, kuid sellegipoolest on ajupoolkeradel pisut erinevad pädevused. Wikipedia, mis pole küll süvateadus, kuid hea referentsmaterjal, ütleb nõnda:</span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:0;" align="justify"><span style="font-size:x-small;">Ajupoolkerade konkreetne suutlikkus ja omavaheline pädevusjaotus indiviiditi on, ma eeldan, geneetiliselt määratletud. Umbes nagu on geneetiliselt määratud ka inimese IQ. Siit võib, ma usub, leida teatud analoogiat musikaalsuse ja IQ kui neuroloogiliste suutlikkuste vahel.</span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:0;" align="justify"><span style="font-size:x-small;">Ka IQ (ja seda moodustavate komponentide) <strong>tase</strong> on inimeseti varieeruv, <strong>sõltub geenidest</strong> ning on <strong>piiratud</strong>. IQ pärilikkuse ehk geenide rolli üle küll vaieldakse – näiteks on USAs erinevate uuringutega jõutud järeldusele, et IQ tase on umbes 40...80% ulatuses pärilik (ülejäänud 60...20% moodustavad keskkonnamõjud ning mõõtmisvead)<a class="sdfootnoteanc" name="sdfootnote5anc" href="#sdfootnote5sym"><sup>5</sup></a>. Teisalt on uuringuid, mis peaaegu, et eitavad pärilikkuse rolli. IQ piiratuse all ei mõtle ma siinkohal aga seda, kuivõrd kõrge võib IQ tase olla inimkonnal tervikuna, vaid seda, kuivõrd on üksikisik oma kaasasündinud IQ poolt piiratud. Senini on valdav seisukoht olnud, et IQ taset pole elu jooksul reaalselt võimalik tõsta: inimene võib areneda oma IQ piirides nii-öelda laiust pidi, kuid IQ tase kui selline (nii-öelda vertikaalne piir) on elu jooksul põhimõtteliselt muutumatu.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0;" align="justify">
<p style="margin-bottom:0;" align="justify"><span style="font-size:x-small;">Huvitav on, et mulle on Jüri Alliku loengust meelde jäänud, et vastavalt tema NEO-PI-R<a class="sdfootnoteanc" name="sdfootnote6anc" href="#sdfootnote6sym"><sup>6</sup></a> isiksusuuringu-alastele töödele on ka inimese iseloom keskeltläbi 50% ulatuses pärilik, samas kui 30% moodustab keskkond ja 20% on mõõtmisviga. Siit koorub kodukootud, kuid huvitav spekulatsioon – kui pool inimese üleüldistest võimetest (IQ, isiksus) on talle geneetika poolt sünniga kaasa antud, siis teist poolt kujundab keskkond – või inimene ise. Ja pool on tegelikult väga suur osa, mõeldes inimese kui liigi kõrgelt arenenud funktsioonidele ja suhtelisele universaalsusele.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0;" align="justify">
<p style="margin-bottom:0;" align="justify"><span style="font-size:x-small;">Kuid oma geneetilise päritoluga omadusi ei saa inimene oma tahte järgi lõpmatuseni parendada. Nii nagu ei saa iga inimene joosta 100 meetrit alla 10 sekundi (ükskõik kui suurt tahet ta ka ei rakendaks), sest selline suutlikkus on füüsiliselt piiratud. Samuti ei saa inimene oma IQ-d vertikaalselt arendada, sest sellel on geneetiline piir ees. Kui järgida seda analoogiat, peaks ka musikaalsus kui erinevate neuroloogiliste ja anatoomiliste (bioloogiliste) omaduste ja eelduste kogum olema inimeseti erinev ja lõppude lõpuks oma kaasasündinud olemuse tõttu piiratud. Osadel inimestel on suurepärased neuroloogilised ning anatoomilised eeldused ja omadused, mistõttu neist saavad Beethovenid, Vengerid või kasvõi Jimmy Page'id. Teistel aga mitte. Neist võib saada kas asjatundlik kuulajaskond (kui neil on olemas hea suutlikkus muusika retseptsiooniks) või kasvõi kõigutamatud ignorandid (kui neil on väga väike asjakohane suutlikkus, näiteks amusia tõttu (vt allpool)).</span></p>

Being tone deaf is having difficulty or being unable to correctly hear relative differences between notes; however, in common usage, it refers to a person's inability to reproduce them accurately. The latter inability is most often caused by lack of musical training or education and not actual tone deafness.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:x-small;">The ability of relative pitch, as with other musical abilities, appears to be inherent in healthy functional humans. Someone who cannot reproduce pitches accurately, because of lack of training or tone deafness, is said to be unable to "carry a tune." Tone deafness affects ability to hear pitch changes produced by a musical instrument and/or the human voice. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:x-small;">However, tone deaf people seem to be only disabled when it comes to music, and they can fully interpret the prosody or intonation of human speech. This being said, they are still capable of hearing the tonality of speech, for example, they can tell the difference between “You speak French” and “You speak French?” when spoken. It has been observed that in societies with tonal languages such as Cantonese and Vietnamese, there are almost no tone deaf people; a strong indicator that the ability to reproduce and distinguish between notes may be a learned skill. However, correlation does not imply causation: if Cantonese and Vietnamese people were genetically predisposed toward a greater accurate ability to distinguish between tones, that may have increased the likelihood of developing said tonal language.</span></p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last night I spent ages trawling through the open university website again. I've dreamed of getting myself a degree since I was young, but somehow, it's never quite happened. After college, I applied every year for five years for different degree courses across the country. Every year, I got six unconditional offers - a place to study international studies at Nottingham, music and psychology at Newcastle, english at Cardiff...and I never went. With Newcastle my excuse was that my parents were in the middle of a divorce and I didn't think it was the right time to leave.....fair enough, you might think, but Cardiff, well I gutted out, and Nottingham was even worse - I even ended up paying rent on a room I didn't live in for six months. Very stupid.</p>
<p>Finally, I gave up on the idea for a couple of years and threw myself into the office job I'd managed to fall into in the meantime. That was in the middle of town and was a young crowd, so there was a heavy social life that went along with it. I drank - and drank - and drank - and discovered that, actually, I was quite popular if I was constantly slightly plastered. Probably contributing to the relative popularity was the fact that I'm an awful flirt when I'm drunk, and will snog anything that moves, male or female, young or old. I become the ultimate hippy spreading my love around. When I look back on it, it makes me feel decidedly sick.</p>
<p>After a while of drinking and lurching from relationship to relationship I started to go a little bit mental. I can look back now and see that I was suffering from severe burnout, and struggling in a job which required more socialising than I could tolerate. I was moving from houseshare to houseshare which meant I had no routine, and was also lurching from one disastrous relationship to the next. I was starting to get very depressed but didn't really understand why. Then, after a period on a heavy dose of prozac, I suffered what I now know was an unhealthy bout of mania. At that point I decided I'd go and get a music degree. I was still playing and writing music, it was after all my first love, so why not?</p>
<p>I lasted three months. I just couldn't cope with it. I couldn't make friends, I didn't fit in, I couldn't tolerate the lectures as I was always falling asleep. My grades were amazing but I was so incredibly unhappy. I was the oldest student in my class and had nothing in common with anyone. I couldn't think what to say to these young impressionable competitive musicians - all I wanted to do was play. I had no interest or motivation for anything else.  I remember sitting down to tell my piano teacher I was going - she was so angry with me. She told me I was wasting my talent - god how many times I've heard that in my life. I left, broken.</p>
<p>After failing at Uni, I started to get really ill. I had always suffered from aches and pains but these got worse and worse to the point I was constantly in pain and completely exhausted. Finally, I had a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and was sent on my way. I spent months barely eating, waking for a couple of hours a day and struggling to even get in and out of the bath or wash my hair. Luckily by then I had fallen into a relationship with an old friend of my sister, who looked after me and made my life a little happier. Those, though, were bad bad days. I didn't understand what was happening to me. I understood that my illness was exacerbated by stress but had no idea had to reduce my stress - as a result, it took a long time for me to get well enough to work full time again. I started working in pensions and my health gradually improved as I got into a routine. Unfortunately, my relationship then worked based on an ill me and a well partner - the shift in balance ultimately destroyed the relationship. I remember at the time thinking I should have felt more upset than I was.</p>
<p>And that was it for my career....I stayed in finance and struggled through with my health and my sanity. I've always hated it, mainly because the energy required to do a full time job meant that there was no energy left for anything else. I also hate working with other people as it's such a huge effort for me - luckily, my most recent job involves working with a bunch of geeks like myself, so it's not as difficult as it has been in the past.</p>
<p>Not long of it left now. And I'm determined to get that degree I've always wanted - I know that, if I study at home, I'll be ok. I can't wait.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As we all know their are things in life beyond our control as well as not in our full understanding, nor will they ever be, so we tend to think. Through our lifetimes we are subtly conditioned to believe what we read in newspaper and view on the television through the repetition of falsities. We even believe what politicians tell us, including our President.</p>
<p>For the record, politicians don't have as much power as we'd love them to have in order to positively affect the world we live in locally and abroad. However, what they do have is the power to hinder mankind's natural progression through the passing of irrelevant laws made to solve posing problems that can be solved naturally in a sense; all which essentially play one part in a big cycle that is keeping all of us from living the lives that we deserve to live. Living freely, not slaving for money at our jobs nor being indentured servants to banks and creditors.</p>
<p>The media, our politicians, and the economy are all playing a part in creating false scarcity and unnecessary fears in our world perpetuating the inevitable, which is complete and utter failure of our long praised and upheld system.</p>
<p>Although they've left out a few things, and don't always list their sources; I agree with the creators of Zeitgeist.</p>

<p>I've got to hand it to Evelyn.  She really flipped the script on Johnny with her win in the challenge and decision to steal his key.  And I am going to give her enough credit to believe that no other decision even crossed her mind, yet she was clever enough to get all the current keyholders to show their hands and subsequently spread some sensitive info as far as she could.  I'm really impressed.</p>
<p>But as impressed as I am with her dirty dealings, this is one of many examples of how the strategy employed by this particular group has become so fucking complex that almost the entire hour-long program has to closely follow every single clandestine, late night, hush-voiced interaction in it's entirety just to keep everyone up to speed.  Shit, there was even a minute or two during the deliberation where I lost the plot, and I watch each episode at least twice while taking detailed notes so I have something to write about here.  I'm not sure if this is a good thing.</p>
<p>I know it wasn't too long ago that <a href="http://barryfest.wordpress.com/2008/09/11/rrrw-the-island-episode-1/">I was saying just the opposite</a>, that I would prefer more substance in episodes that were otherwise filled with nothing more that people fucking (with) each other when they were shitfaced, but I think the pendulum has swung a bit too far in this case.</p>
<p>Now that the stakes have gotten so high and the casts are so experienced (either from all their first hand experience or from <a href="http://barryfest.wordpress.com/2008/09/18/real-worldroad-rules-challenge-the-island-episode-2/">watching the show on television</a> like the rest of us), these challenges have evolved into competitions that bear almost no resemblance to some of the earliest, glorious incarnations of the show.</p>
<p>This season has gotten pretty engaging, but it is a different kind of engaging than I am used to when it comes to my MTV programming.  The unrelenting strategy that is required on <em>The Island</em> has made short work of the camaraderie and sportsmanship that used to be an important part of the equation that made the show so watchable.  It is more than just another tweak in a long line of subtle changes that have shaped the show over the years.  It's a sea change that has made me a bit uneasy.</p>
<p>Do you remember the first full challenge, the one where it was two small teams just cruising along the California coast, partying at the Playboy mansion, and competing for time in one of those money machines you rent out for birthdays and bar mitzvahs?</p>
<p>And it seems like only yesterday the <em>Real World</em> teams - made up of the beatniks and intellectual types that dominated the first six or seven casts - never stood any chance against the gritty adventure types that up until then were tapped exclusively for seasons of <em>Road Rules</em>.  That is, of course, until they reached the final challenge that always included some gimmicky puzzle that your average third grader could tackle but was like kryptonite to a group of people long on physical strength and determination but short on "book smarts."</p>
<p>Those were the days.  There was the weird development somewhere around the time o<em>f The Real World: Las Vegas, </em>where each<em> </em>house started getting stocked with at least one or two meatheads that you could reasonably argue were only thrown in with the other strangers to increase the muscle mass and decrease the average I.Q. of the elder half of the RW/RW franchise at the next challenge.  (I mean, how else would you explain Frank from Las Vegas?  Or Wes from Austin?  Or Dunbar from Sydney?  Or basically every dude from Philadelphia?)</p>
<p>Even when they started blending casts into teams by gender, congeniality and experience, the producers still seemed eager to remove the comic book illustrator/poet stigma associated with former <em>Real World</em> personalities.  And in this case the rising tide did not necessarily lift all boats, but the detrimental effects these mopes had on their original casts were more than wiped clean by their performances on subsequent <em>Real World/Road Rules</em> competitions.  I mean, CT, Alton, and Brad all got their start in a house, not an RV, so someone must have been doing something right.</p>
<p>I guess I've kinda gone back and forth on how I feel about this season for the past five weeks.  I can safely say I am now genuinely enjoying everything, but I can't help but eligaicly harken back to the days of yore.  I guess I just have to accept that, as someone is guaranteed to say at some point in every challenge:  "Now the game has changed."</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><span lang="EN">Dagen till ända och det är snart dags att bege sej ut. Ljusskygga Bibi vill inte riskera att bli bränd av solens UV-strålning. Förberedelser hela dagen för att få mod att våga sej ut. Denna speciella afton får inte gå till spillo, och jag tänker inte spendera den genom att sitta i min trygga vrå. Min hjärna ska proppas full med kultur, idéer och inspiration, och jag ska bli hög på nytänkande. Stesoliden nerpackad och min ledsagare har jag med mej för att inte riskera att få epileptiskt anfall av alla intryck. Kartan är full med bläck av alla platser och tider jag skrivit ner för att inte missa något, och för ovanlighetens skull har jag till och med fått dit en och en annan smiley. Något som jag oftast fördömer och tycker att människor som använder dessa har lägre IQ ,och inte kan formulera sej verbalt och är tvungna att ta till symboler för att beskriva en känsla. Men vad kan man säga, lilla Bibi har en känsla i magen som hon har svårt att beskriva. En känsla som hon inte ofta känner och har lite svårt att få begrepp om vad det är, tror det är glädje men är inte säker. Kan även vara att jag inte kunnat gå på toaletten på många dagar och att det kanske är dags för en ny koloskopi. Men ack och ve, nu ska de mörka kläderna dras på och försiktigt skall Bibi överta staden denna kväll.</span></div>

Gevoel en verstand, man en vrouw. EQ en IQ.</p>
<p>Maar nu is het hek van de dam. Volgende week lanceert Iteke Weeda <em><a href="http://www.weeda.nl/persbericht.html" target="_blank">Yinfactor; managers over de menselijke maat</a></em>. Gebaseerd op interviews met vele managers onderscheidt zij vier essentiële kwaliteiten. Met stip binnengekomen op drie en vier:</p>
<ul>
<li>SQ (spirituele intelligentie)</li>
<li>LQ (liefdesintelligentie)</li>
</ul>
<p>We hadden al de <a href="http://www.nieuwezijds.nl/Boek/9789057122033/De-Big-5-persoonlijkheidsfactoren/" target="_blank">Big <strong>Five</strong></a>. Maar het kan nog uitgebreider. Sterker nog, dat was het al. In de beginfase van de psychologie, niet gehinderd door praktische overwegingen, onderscheidden theoretici omvattender sets van 'persoonlijkheidstrekken' of 'instincten'.</p>
<p>Je kunt managementondersteuning en coaching veel ontzeggen, maar niet het ontbreken van een praktische gezindheid. Daarom, zoveel is zeker: meer dan zeven Q's zullen het niet worden. Dat is het maximum aantal informatie-eenheden dat een mens gemakkelijk onthoudt. Daarboven verlies je het gevoel van duidelijkheid. Een ezelsbruggetje versterkt het overzichtgevoel. E, I, S, L, x, x, x: daar moet iets moois van te maken zijn.</p>
<p>Eureka! Als creatieve coach draag ik graag suggesties aan: <em>Geef me een M, geef me een C, geef me een I: 'I C</em> [=see] <em>MILES'</em> of '<em>I C</em> [=can]<em> SMILE'</em> !</p>

<p>     I become more amused by the IQ discussion by the hour.  I have recently read where not only the Jews and the Chinese are ahead of 'Whites' in the IQ sweepstakes but we apparently seem to be sinking lower.  Now, as I read, the Japanese, the 'Koreans' and the Hong Kong Chinese specifically have pushed 'Whites' down to at least fifth place.  Can't we divide 'Whites' into two or three groups with at least one being able to compete for first place.  Whatever happened to German efficiency?  Heck, even the Japanese use German lenses for their cameras.  If I'm so dumb as a pitiful 'White' why don't I feel it?</p>
<p>     I mean, while the Japanese were trying to eke musical sounds out of a one string intrument Bach was composing his fugues on real instruments.  While the Empire State Building was going up 'Korean' peasants were living in their huts with their pigs.  That also begs the question of whether 'Koreans' means North and South or merely South.  I haven't seen much in the way of intelligence coming out of the North.</p>
<p>     Makes you wonder how people as dumb as Whites could figure out the order of the Universe while the rest of mankind was living on a flat earth.  I mean, radio telescopes aren't that obvious.</p>
<p>      Don't get me wrong, acupuncture is spiffy stuff but it wouldn't have done much for my cataracts.  A little 'White' scientific surgery took care of that problem.  I did have a Chinese anaesthesiologist though and she damn near killed me with whatever anaesthesia she was using.  I can still feel it years later.  Probably had it in for both men and Whites.  I'm both.</p>
<p>     I'll confess I really did want to have a White person inject me but one can't reveal such 'prejudices' or the Whites will probably do you in for spite because you're a 'bigot.'  What I'm trying to say is that in a metaphoric sense there's a big difference between Chinese acupuncture  and White medical science.  If the Chinese are so much smarter how come they're running around with a bunch of needles in their hand while Whites had developed ways and means to pulp a lens inside the eye and insert a piece of jet plane windshield (think about that now) into your eye while sending you home with an incision that can't be seen with the naked eye.  They don't keep you overnight either; you're gone within fifteen minutes.</p>
<p>     Leads me to believe that IQ isn't the whole answer even if I believed the garbage published about IQ.</p>
<p>     I mean how big an IQ do you need to know you're being put on?</p>
<p>     Enough of this.</p>
