Played Xbox last night for the first time in 15 days.

Suddenly I suck.

Playing the The Iron Man game on PS3 and working on my house instead of my gamerscore has turned me into a worthless bag of meat in Rainbow 6 / Vegas2.

For the love of Pete - Krazy Ivan did better than me !

Obviously I need to prioritize.

Sigh.

Oh well, hopefully this weekend I'll be able to get the rust out . . .

Exaustivamente divulgado por este blogueiro que vos escreve, “Homem de Ferro - The Videogame”, chega ao Brasil no dia 02 de maio, mais precisamente na próxima sexta-feira. O título aportará nas prateleiras apenas dois dias depois da estréia do longa nos cinemas, cujo jogo é baseado.

Desenvolvido pela Sega, o jogo trará até oito armaduras do protagonista, que correspondem às diversas fases do herói durante mais de 40 anos de história nos quadrinhos. Além disso, o gamer terá o total controle sobre todos os poderes e armas do personagem.

Dentre as características presentes no game, você terá:

- ARMA DEVASTADORA: Homem de Ferro, sozinho, combate tropas de jatos e tanques militares;

- CONTROLE DE FORÇA: Os jogadores poderão dirigir forças para partes diferentes do traje do Homem de Ferro, criando uma variedade de ataques exclusivos;

- CAMPO DE BATALHA CAÓTICO: Campos de batalha de final aberto proporcionam muita adrenalina e combates cheios de desafios imprevisíveis;

- ALÉM DO FILME: O jogo inclui enredo adicional e personagens do mundo dos quadrinhos do Homem de Ferro que não aparecem no filme;

- MUNDO ABERTO: Os jogadores têm total liberdade para se movimentar em qualquer lugar no ambiente e fazer transições ininterruptas entre os combates na terra ou no ar.

“Homem de Ferro - The Videogame” estará disponível plataformas Playstation 3, Playstation 2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, PC e Nintendo DS, com seu preço variando entre R$ 100 e R$ 200, conforme o console. Trazido pela importadora NC Games, ele será comercializado em mais de 1,6 mil lojas parceiras em todo o País. Para completar, a distribuidora realizou um acordo com a PANINI e dará um álbum de figurinhas do herói para aqueles que comprarem o jogo a partir do dia 02 de maio.

Falando sério, Homem de Ferro é um dos Super-Heróis que a maioria dos Brasileiros não conhece. Eu por exemplo, nem sei ao certo a história dele, só um pouco, pelo Jogo Marvel Ultimate Alliance, que ainda tava em inglês. O Jogo e o filme prometem, vou ver se compro o Jogo, e depois da Crítica, ver no Cinema!

I spent some time playing the demo for Iron Man, which is available for every system thinkable. Usually when publishers release a game for almost every system, they are trying to cash in on a gimmick. Obviously the gimmick here is the Iron Man Movie. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME.

Iron Man is an action title from Lord knows who, and it sucks. The controls are very clunky. Flying and hovering, which you need to do frequently requires a limited amount of pressure tediously to stay in the air properly, and stay locked onto a target. This sucks. The graphics are absolutely terrible, using the Havok engine in a way it was never supposed to be used. Lighting is impressive, but textures are very poor, and animations are even worse. The music just repeats one track over and over, and it isn't very catchy, the voice acting sounds like a bored robot, enemy AI is really dull, enemies are generic, and the only real shooting you have is holding down the right trigger.

Nice.

I went to go see Cloverfiled last night and I saw this trailer and I am hooked.
You have me at "Iron Man" Mr. Favreau -- I loved the tings you've graced so far -- "Swingers"
and "Elf" (GENIUS!).

Now onto Iron Man -- he's like Batman, but far cooler, metal-ier, and he can fly . . . Ok, actually, Batman is sort of lame next to Iron Man. (But I still love you Batman, don't cry.)

Look, they're both billionaires both have cool gadgets, but Iron Man is more flawed. He's actually a dying man in a suit. He's weak, he's an alcoholic, he's a little bit more of assh*le -- he's more real,
but then he's not.

There is a better human element, with more flaws to him.

Bruce Wayne has a trouble psyche due to his shattered past. Tony Stark (catch the "iron"y in the last name) has just so much more against him-- but here he is, frail but powerful.

He's more than a modern Achilles, his weakness is his own health (at least in the comic). I hope they bring this to the movie and I feel that they will, it makes for a much better screen play.

Ok, this is just speculation, but in the battle of Batman vs. Iron Man this summer, Iron Man will trump the "Caped Crusader" with a far a more developed character, better story line, and bada** gizmos galore. 

This is also one reason Marvel Comic has seen such incredible growth in the past decade. Stan Lee has really done an incredible job at making heroes that are more believable and they are all flawed with human error.

Superman sucks, he's cool because he's unstoppable, but then Kryptonite? What they hell is that. I've never fallen to that who has? But Marvel characters have pain, deep pain, loss, addictions, and they have a dark side that they battle with in -- this is human.

Anyhow, that aside Iron Man must be seen . . . Oh,and the video game looks epic.
