This python silver bag has a unique silohuette, but it looks strange. Like space age. And I don't really get the blue stuff. But I guess it has a certain charm to it. I just wouldn't spend my bank account on it.

I suppose there is a reason for these melding of patricotic colors. And the peep toe. And the zipper. And the million feet tall platform. Not to mention the free ankle bracelet at the top at the shoe. But I can't find one. I just can't. Sorry! 

I'm not a huge fan of advertising when I'm buying something, but this bag is simple, chic, and beautiful. Tres Fabulous!

Um............. Ew. I don't know what's with animal skin this season, but I'm not one who finds it extremely attractive. Like the silouhette though. V. pretty.

Like the simpleness. Seems like a very comfy shoe. What I don't like is the two tone factor, and the fact it probably costs more than rent!!

     You read me. Sentimental attachment to a mug.

     There's the local university mug because we're fans and also I have a degree from there. The sunflower mug because I love sunflowers (but I never drink out of this mug!) The ultimately cheesy Precious Moments mug that is not only too small for a reasonable amount of tea but it has my name on it so who the hell will want it anyway? It was a birthday gift on my 16th birthday.

     Considering the mugs led me to think of all the other things around our home that don't need to be here that somebody (well, ok, it's either me or Husband because I don't think the ferrets care) won't let go of for some reason.

     I think I have an unreasonable attachment to these things. I know my friends in NYC don't have this problem to this scale because they have wee apartments. My friend S lives in an impossibly adorable half of a carriage house that's slightly larger than your average NYC apartment and I asked her once how she manages not to have all the stuff. She said clever storage helps and started pointing at furniture - there's the bed and then there are 6 flat plastic bins slid underneath.

     I think my solution is culling. A massive thorough ruthless culling.

     My friend C's mother-in-law is a Yard Saler of Professional Proportions. The MIL is currently getting divorced and needs to move to a smaller home with less room for her treasures so my friend C is helping sort - Keep, Trash, Storage, Yard Sale. C keeps coming home with "gifts" from the piles. It's like a neverending game of Hot Potato - you get the stuff, you give the stuff away, the other person has the stuff.

     I think on some level the stuff is here to remind me that:

People love me enough to give me something they think I will like

I have friends

I had a good time somewhere

Someone else had a good time somewhere and wanted to share

I'm afraid I'll need it sometime down the road (I think this translates into some kind of scarcity fear from when my ancestors had all the bones of the woolly mammoths lying around the cave and my great great great great grandmother said, "I can't get rid of them...I might want to built a tent with them." Or something.)  

      I just got up half an hour ago and now my head hurts from thinking of all the stuff.

It literally goes NOWHERE! The NS's are setup correctly, etc... but it goes NOWHERE! Normally it hangs on the last host before moving to the next? But it's just in midair. REALLY weird.

I opened a new category called 'junk'. It gathers all the unwanted pictures and sometimes old pictures, shot in poor conditions etc. It doesn't mean that the capture is 100% unusable. Perhaps it can be tweaked (crop, tone/colour adjustments etc.)

It also informs you that the blog is not dead, but there is not major update for now :) Next 'big' update is coming on the beginning of November. I was supposed to go out last week, but owing to catastrophic weather condition, I couldn't. And today, I was supposed to go out too, but this time, I caught a cold.

Me: Honey, Can I have some snack to eat?

Wife: Sure, How about an Orange?

Me: No, Do you have anything else?

Wife: Sure, I have another Orange!

Shivya at The Shooting star - She is a delightful writer of her life experiences, from bungee jumping to F1. I can proudly say that I know someone who has seen the First ever Singapore Formula 1 grand prix under flood lights.

Sriniani - He is a very informative blogger and one of the first few who appreciated my efforts here. I just wish he blogs more often than he does, but he deserves the award for the way he brings out rare contents even if it is less frequent.

Twisted DNA - This man brings out the normal life around us in a very hilarious way. His replies to comments are very interesting and funny, and will make you revisit his blog just for that. I liked that so much, I am replying the same way to the comments in my blog. Beware of stomach cramps due to extreme hilarity.

As I always say, all the folks on my blogroll deserve an award for their brilliance and they are there in my blogroll just for that reason. Keep up the great work folks.

Ok ok, just so my little scribbles don't confuse you, the 'dude' is a Korean-looking guy wearing a singlet, a pair of shorts and a blazing neon-pink hat. What made me notice him? He was standing in the weirdest place to flag a cab. Take a look at the diagram below to see what I mean.

Usually, people try to flag down a cab near the entrance of the bus station but this moron decides to stand in a position that will limit his chances of getting noticed by ANY cab. (there were buses piling in like crazy and DUH he can't be seen.)

So I was staring at this guy, wondering what the heck was he trying to do...and here are my scribbles! =)

Korean-looking guy (pink hat)

I wanted to make my Trademark, 512. And so I did. Tonight. It's a good thing I checked, or else I would've passed it up on accident.

Here are some quick hits just to get me going:

• Our recent trip to North Carolina was a blast. I couldn't imagine having a better time. Several pictures will be posted soon and hopefully I can be more specific in a future post.
• The lung/rib combo is healed. A round-trip flight across the country and a paddle trip down the Neuse can attest.
• The next session for Leadership Las Vegas takes place tomorrow. We'll be learning about the history of our city and there WILL be costumes. I cannot guarantee there will be pictures available.
• Buster is out to sea and should be home in about three weeks.
• Warning: Halloween will be here before you know it. Get your candy and costumes for your children before October 30 when you will begin to consider yourself the worst parent in the world.

HOW to do this?

I'd transfer them to using samba, to my Linux machine with the larger hard drive - But samba is a pain for me, sometimes works sometimes doesn't.

So I'm just going to burn my movies/music (Well probably just movies) to disc so that I can have more room. I'd go buy a larger HDD for this laptop, but why do that? When I can just put them on a disc and watch them whenver? Beats having to worry about an extra HDD, or external one... But then again, sometimes a larger HDD is just more simple. In my case, I'll just use the disc option.
