Wystrój nie zmienił się znacząco od pożaru mającego miejsce chyba w latach 90tych. Co tu dużo mówić - czarne ściany są ohydne. Stałość dotyczy też serwowanej pizzy (innych dań dawno nie próbowałem). Zawsze to samo specyficzne ciasto (niezależnie od bieżącego numeru RP) - dość cienkie, ale niezupełnie chrupiące (trochę wilgotne). Ilość dodatków w sam raz. Ze wskazaniem na dolną granicę tego przedziału - ostatnio doliczyłem się słownie 6 oliwek na mojej pizzy - cacciatora za 17,50 plnów. Nie jest to najlepsza pizza w moim życiu, ale ogólnie przyjemność z jedzenia jest, co cenię w "szybkich" lokalach.

Właśnie - szybkość obsługi to największy plus. Od zawsze przy składaniu zamówienia dostajemy surówkę z kapusty jako zabijacz pierwszego głodu. Nim zdążymy ją zjeść do końca, nadchodzi już świeża, gorąca pizza, przyrządzana za szklaną ladą na oczach gości. I to właśnie tłumaczy sporą liczbę klientów i brak potrzeby wprowadzania zmian, również w wystroju. Kto ma czas na to patrzeć, gdy ciągle coś jest na talerzu lub w szklance ;)

According to the American Marketing Association the term merchandising is to be understood as the planning involved in marketing the right merchandise (product) or service at the right place, at the right time, in the right quantities, and at the right price. In the light of polish understanding merchandising is used to described marketing activity concentrated on benefiting from trade marks, presentations, images or symbols associated by clients with one product in order to improve sale results of the other product, addressed to the wide range of consumers and offered mainly in retail.

It is commonly known and benefited from as the merchandising can be a convenient instrument to foster such products like sports events (so called merchandising event) or a football, bascetball or hockey teams etc. It is enough to say as from several to several dozen percent of German or British football clubs’ revenue come from merchandising. Similar event can be found in case the american baseball, bascetball or hockey clubs, no matter professional or amatour. The merchandising opportunities are wide and various, depending on how large and strong is the relevant product to be supported by such an instrument as well as what is its potential of development.

One thing is sure that in effect any entity operating within actual sports surrounding is forced to use merchandising somehow in day-to-day activity to develop in a righ way.
Emotiones of sports, esspecially some of its disciplines, casue the sports funs ones of the most faithfull and devoted clients of a particular brand they root for.

The shops of those the most enterprising sports clubs offer almost everything – from the crowlers for the baby funs whose parents wish them to hereditate the love for the particular team, through cups, keychains, calendars and copy-books, bedclothes, wall-paper and all sorts of clothes and accessories for men and women, to the brands of food products in the end.

Another words, as American experts in sports merchandising used to day – the sky is the limit. The same happens with sports events – no matter we are talking about Ground Slam tennis tournament or domestic athletics meeting or interscholar competitions, each time there is a place for merchandise and gadgets distribution which bring not only financial profit but becomes effective instrument to promote the event.

Together with the awareness of profits from using the merchandising the reflection must come on how to get rights do use the merchandise reserved effectively and saved from infringement or at least have those infringements minimised. As it was pointed out above merchandising relays mainly on using trade marks, symbols etc. being associated and referred to particular merchandise, which in case of sports category means sports clubs, teams or sports events. The key question for sports club owners, sports competition managers or any other entities wishing to benefit from merchandising in any other way, occurs to be suitable registration of trade marks referring to their business activity as well as taking all available measures to execute their rights. Main legal act that abovementioned actions (on intellectual property) will be based on is the Act of June 30th, 2000 on industrial property, however depending on the actual case, other legal act may also be relevant, e.g. the Act of April 16th 1993 on fighting unfair competition.

The football club that should be seen as an example to others polish players on the merchandising market is called Lech Poznań. It has guarantied himself relevant rights with the benefit to its image and for its funs and continues to develop its merchandising offer, co-operating with relevant authorities and business partners in the scope of monitoring the actual infringements on the market. Taking examples from such an entity is not against the fair-play rules but it pose a good practice as an correct element of sport development, an unusual discipline of life and economy on the domestic market. The real Olympic games in sports’ merchandising are about to come on EURO 2012 being organised by Poland – lets wish we manage to learn how to use that instrument the best.

It is worth mentioning that the provisions of the Civil Code shall also have an application in the case of violating by an employer of some of employee’s personal rights. Pursuant with the provision of the article 24 § 1 of the Civil Code, a person whose personal rights were threatened by someone else’s behaviour, may request giving up of such an omission, unless it is unlawful. In the event of breach he may also claim, that a person who had committed such a breach, make a statement with an appropriate content and form. Moreover, on the basis provided in the Civil Code he may also demand a financial compensation or payment of an appropriate amount for a social objective. The basis of protection of specified employee’s personal rights may also constitute provisions of the Act on Copyrights and Neighbouring Rights or Industrial Property Act.

Also the Labour Code provides a number of legal remedies to which an employee is entitled in the event of breaching his personal rights by an employer. One of such a remedies, which is of profound practical importance, is the article 55¹ § 1 of the Labour Code, pursuant to which in the event of a gross breach by an employer of substantial employer’s duties (and thus a duty of respecting of employees’ personal rights) an employee may terminate a contract without notice.

It should be also remembered that a legal remedy to which an employee is entitled shall be dependent on the character of the infringed personal right. For example when an employer sullies the good name of an employee by providing false information, an employee may be entitled to claim an employer to make an appropriate statement (article 24 § of the Civil Code). However when it comes to an infringement of an employee’s personal copyrights, an employee shall be entitled to make use of claims provided in the Act Copyrights and Neighbouring Rights.

By enforcing the liability of company bodies certain problem however may constitute the wording of the article 293 § 3 of the Code of Commercial Companies, pursuant to which the member of the management board, supervisory board, audit commission, likewise the liquidator, shall discharge his duties with a degree of diligence proper for the professional nature of his activities.

As the members of doctrine and jurisprudence underline, the aforementioned article 293 § 2 introduces a special type of a an increased diligence of company bodies.

Few doctrine representatives raised that fulfilling duties of a limited liability company body, without proper education, knowledge or experience necessary to manage the affairs of the company should be treated as a violation of the required diligence and conscientiousness. It is also raised, that a person performing a body’s duties (in this case the member of management board) may not release himself from his liability merely on the grounds that he was executing the resolutions of a supervisory board.

Among not numerous judgements issued on the grounds of this article should be mentioned the judgement of the Supreme Court of 9^th February, 2006 (V CSK 128/05), which grounding includes a thesis, pursuant to which establishing the lawlessness, within a meaning of the Article 293 § 2 of the Code of Commercial Companies, may not be limited merely to a general statement that an action or omission was contrary to law or company agreement, but should also indicate – by reference to a specified provisions of law or company articles of association – in which resulted a contradiction of the bodies members conduct with a specified provision of law or articles of association.

In the aforementioned judgement the Supreme Court did not agree with a view of the lower instance court, that an action or omission contradict to law or provisions of articles of association constitutes already a mere breach of the Article of 293 § 2 Code of Commercial Companies, and thus a diligence duty resulting from a professional character of actions of specified company bodies or company liquidator. A diligence measure indicated in this provision constitutes a fault criterion and its fulfilment does not release from a duty of establishing a lawlessness.

The aforementioned judgement of the Supreme Court in my opinion casts a new light on the problematic of the professional diligence, which is mentioned in the Article 293 § 2 of the Code of Commercial Companies, referring it exclusively to a fault criterion. However pursuant to the thesis of the aforementioned judgement of the Supreme Court and also the views of a doctrine, a professional diligence of the members of company bodies is based inter alia on provided by company’s articles of association division of competencies between particular members of its bodies and observance by them of binding provisions. Thus it rises a question, whether even a model fulfilment of such requirements by the members of board fulfils entirely the notion of professional diligence?

In my opinion the requirement of adherence to the principle of diligence by the members of company bodies, mentioned in the article of 293 § 2 of Code of Commercial Companies code should be also related to possession by them of specialised education, used during fulfilment of bodies’ duties (for example a criterion of professional diligence of an attorney at law fulfilling a function of a company body member – the member of a supervision board). Such matters require undoubtedly supplementing by court judgements.

Ponoć już we wrześniu rozpocznie się remont ulicy Winogrady w Poznaniu. I to nie byle jaki! Już wkrótce (to znaczy za ponad rok) znajdzie się tam na przykład "cichy asfalt" zmniejszający hałas. Będą też ścieżki rowerowe (z pewnością wyłożone czerwonym pozbrukiem) i nowe przystanki tramwajowe, tak sprytnie skonstruowane, że gdy bimba się na nich zatrzyma, zatamuje wszelki ruch, co pasażerom zagwarantuje - najważniejsze przecież w życiu - bezpieczeństwo.

Gdy przeczytałem o tym w gazecie, radość ogarnęła mnie niezmierna. Winogradami bowiem, przy okazji spacerów na Cytadelę, chodzę lub jeżdżę średnio dwa razy w tygodniu. Dobrze jest usłyszeć, że nasze najdroższe władze miejskie tak zadbają o to nieco na uboczu położone miejsce! Ale że znam się ździebko na matematyce, a na budownictwie już nie, zamiast pozostać w niemym zachwycie nad mieszankami bitumicznymi i ekranami akustycznymi zacząłem liczyć.

Koszt budowy ma wynieść 100,5 milionów złotych. Przy około dwóch kilometrach długości ulicy, daje to jakieś 50 tysięcy złotych za metr. Ten wynik jakoś nie zwiększył mojej radości. Co prawda nigdy żadnej drogi nie budowałem, ale wydało mi się, że to dużo. No, ale w końcu mówimy o inwestycji w wielkim, bogatym mieście - jakby policzyć, ile to kosztuje pojedyńczego Poznaniaka, okaże się, że jakieś drobiazgi. Z pewnością nas stać.

No i, nierozważnie, policzyłem. Zaokrąglając dla ładnego rachunku liczbę ludności miasta do pół miliona, dowiadujemy się, że każdy z nas zapłaci dziesięć groszy za metr ulicy. Nieźle. Zaraz, ile tych metrów było? Dwa tysiące? Nie, czyżbyśmy mieli wydać na Winogrady po dwieście złotych? A jednak, liczby się zgadzają. Tylko znowu coś sporo wyszło. Nawet ja, choć, jak już mówiłem, z ulicy tej korzystam często, dwustu złotych bym na jej remont nie dał. A tym bardziej nie dałyby zapewne moje sąsiadki, starsze panie, które żyją sobie spokojnie na Jeżycach, a na Winogradach bywają raz na dziesięć lat.

Owszem, miło mieć porządne ulice. Tylko ta cena - czy naprawdę nie da się taniej? Cały czas nad tym rozmyślając, natknąłem się w pewnej gazecie na artykuł o Gazpromie, który da kujawskiej gminie Tłuchowo 350 tysięcy złotych na wyasfaltowanie około 450 metrów drogi. Oczywiście, jakaś tam tłuchowska droga nie będzie mogła się równać z naszymi Winogradami. Nic dziwnego, że powstanie za dziesięć czy nawet piętnaście razy mniejsze pieniądze.

Ale, ale - 450 metrów za 350 tysięcy to mniej niż osiemset złotych za metr. Jakieś sześćdziesiąt pięć razy taniej niż u nas. Cóż, nieważne. My jesteśmy metropolią, bardzo potrzebujemy cichego asfaltu, bezpiecznych przystanków i ścieżek rowerowych. I nie ma absolutnie nic dziwnego w tym, że zafundujemy je sobie za sześdziesięciopięciokrotność ceny normalnej drogi. Zwłaszcza, że wykonawcę wybrano w przetargu, do którego przystąpiło całe jedno konsorcjum. To właśnie jest normalne w demokratycznie rządzonym mieście.

Pamiętam dobrze wypitą pewnej zimy czekoladę węgierską z rumem i rodzynkami. Wychodząc na zewnątrz potem żadne -20 stopni nie było mi straszne. Zdaje się, że była to wizyta Dagona w Poznaniu i zwiedzanie starówki.

Innym razem widok z okna. Siedziałyśmy w oknie CR z widokiem na uliczkę. Po gzymsie budynku po przeciwległej stronie ulicy spacerował kot. Na tym wąskim kawałku gruntu niemal biegał, zawracał... wszystko to na wysokości pierwszego piętra kamienicy.

Symbolika zatrzymania się na herbatę, kawę czy czekoladę gdy za oknem cały świat nadal biegnie, pędzi, pracuje, kłóci się, a policja tego wszystkiego pilnuje, co by nikt nikogo nie ukradł przemawia do mnie żywym głosem - do kawiarni marsz! Bycie oddzielonym od tego świata szybą i oglądanie go jak filmu dokumentalnego zagryzając ciasteczkiem... Taka enklawa.

Czar tych małych kawiarni przytulnie odgrodznych od rzeczywistości pozwala przez chwilę być gdzie indziej.

Marzy mi się siedzenie w kawiarence przy oszklonym oknie w czasie deszczu przytulając dłoń do kubka gorącej czarnej herbaty lub czekolady po węgiersku z rumem i rodzynkami.

W Poznaniu jest trochę miejsc, które by pasowały do tej wizji: Republika Róż, Cacao Republica, Aromat, Chimera... może macie jeszcze jakieś propozycje?

Jak powiedział Waraksa, do wypadku doszło w piątek ok. godz. 14; utrudnienia w ruchu mogą potrwać jeszcze do dwóch godzin.

Pojazdy osobowe policja kieruje na objazd przez Łagów Lubuski, ciężarówki muszą czekać na odblokowanie drogi. W wypadku uczestniczył pojazd ciężarowy na białoruskich numerach rejestracyjnych i mazda - na belgijskich numerach. Zginął mężczyzna z mazdy, dwie inne osoby z tego samochodu przewieziono do szpitala. Kierowcy TIR-a nic się nie stało. Trwa ustalanie przyczyn wypadku.

Do porównań użyłem tras wyznaczanych przez: Google, Zumi, DoCelu, Targeo (AutoMapa) i NaviExpert. Przejazdy różniły się na tyle, że warto się temu przyjrzeć dokładniej.

Trasa wyznaczona przez Automapę jest na pewno krótka (S->K) - jej długość to tylko 6,16 km. W szczycie dnia ma jednak sporo wad. Na pierwszy ogień pójdzie dojazd do ronda Jana Nowaka-Jeziorańskiego na ul. Przybyszewskiego. Postałbym tu kilka cykli świateł na pewno (pierwszy odcinek czerwony). Jak dojadę do końca głównej ulicy i skręcę w prawo postoję na pewno kilka minut przed dworcem kolejowym (drugi odcinek czerwony). Jak tylko zjadę z mostu na dół i przejadę obok Dworca Autobusowego mam korek z widokiem na piękne biurowce na pl. Andersa i Stary Browar (trzeci odcinek czerwony). Dalej powinno już być bez przeszkód chociaż sama mapa pokazuje roboty drogowe na końcu ul. Królowej Jadwigi. Jest to jednak tylko remont przystanku tramwajowego. Niestety serwis Targeo nie podaje estymowanego czasu przejazdu.

Jak widać z mapki trasa Zumi jest identyczna jak w przypadku AutoMapy i trafia na te same utrudnienia w ruchu co poprzednia.

Niestety trasa wyznaczana przez DoCelu ma identyczny przebieg i wady poprzednich, choć może ładniej się prezentuje na ekranie.

Trasa wyznaczona przez Google Maps jest bardzo ciekawa. Prowadzi dwoma arteriami: Grochowską-Hetmańską i Zamenhofa. Nawet w szczycie na tych drogach nie ma dużo korków z ... dwoma wyjątkami. Przed rondem Starołęka (pierwszy czerwony odcinek) i przed ul. Baraniaka. W tych miejscach możemy stać po kilka cykli świateł. Google podaje, że długość trasy wynosi 8,5 km a estymowany czas przejazdu to 12 minut. To drugie na pewno jest zbyt optymistyczne. Może z wyjątkiem pory nocnej :-)

Na koniec najbardziej złożona jak należałoby oczekiwać trasa NaviExperta. Aby ją pokazać korzystam z mapy Google. Przebiega ona podobnie jak trasa Google w pierwszym odcinku. Jednak z Hetmańskiej nakazuje zjechać na dół pod most na rondo i dalej ul. Dolna Wilda. Co ciekawe nie dojeżdżamy do końca drogi gdyż tam tworzy się korek (odcinek czerwony) i skręcamy w boczną uliczkę w prawo a następnie w lewo do ul. Królowej Jadwigi (dojazd pozbawiony świateł choć uliczki są wąskie). System nie prowadzi również równoległą Drogą Dębińską gdyż na jej końcu przy Królowej Jadwigi jest również o tej porze korek (odcinek czerwony). Trasa to według Google 7,7 km i czas przejazdu estymowany przez NaviExperta 17 minut. Co ciekawe NaviExpert podaje, że jej długość to równe 7 km. Te 700 metrów różnicy to jednak sporo dla systemów opartych o mapy cyfrowe.

A teraz co wyszło w praktyce. Pojechałem oczywiście trasą NaviExperta co nie powinno nikogo dziwić ;-)

Czas przejazdu: 16 minut. Żadnych korków o dziwo! Każdy system może się mylić, ale tym razem nie było niespodzianek.

Tak się złożyło, że musiałem wrócić tą samą trasą. Z punktu B do punktu A :-) Niespodzianek z planowaniem tras mniej a jednak. Zobaczmy jakie trasy zaplanowały poszczególne systemy.

Trasa krótka - tylko 6 km. Po drodze na pewno będę trochę stał w na Moście Dworcowym i potem do skrętu w lewo (dwa czerwone odcinki). Końcówka trasy dziwna (niebieskie kółko) gdyż adres końcowy jest na ulicy Włodkowica a Targeo widzi koniec przy Grunwaldzkiej. Nie jest to jednak błąd gdyż jest to narożnikowy budynek Grunwaldzka 77/Włodkowica 2!

Trasa prawie identyczna z wyjątkiem ostatniego odcinka. Podjazd na Włodkowica a nie od strony Grunwaldzkiej.

Trasa bardzo sprytna prowadząca przez centrum miasta małymi uliczkami m.in. Długą. Cóż jeśli prowadzi także ulicą zamkniętą już dawno dla ruchu kołowego i dostępną wyłącznie dla tramwajów (czerwony krzyżyk). Objawia się zatem słabość map, które nie są zbyt często aktualizowane. Mam wrażenie że w tym przypadku ponad rok.

Tu pełne zaskoczenie! Google każe mi jechać na około trasą 9,2 km. Estymowany czas podaje 14 minut, ale to nie jest możliwe w szczycie dnia. Z kilku powodów. Po pierwsze na skrzyżowaniu Hetmańska/Reymonta napotkamy korek do jazdy na wprost (odcinek czerwony) a potem na Reymonta prawdopodobnie dwa następne. Tu mała uwaga. Jeśli już mielibyśmy jechać z jakichś powodów tą trasą to ze względu na ten korek nasz przejazd powinien wyglądać tak::

Na wprost stoimy w korku (odcinek czerwony), ale równoległą ulicą możemy go łatwo objechać. A na koniec trasa NaviExpert.

Jak widać bez zaskoczenia, jest ona identyczna z Zumi i także trafiam na te dwa czerwone odcinki czyli korki. NaviExpert podaje szacowany czas przejazdu 17 minut.

A praktyka? Trasa powrotna zajęła mi około 16:15 dokładnie 19 minut. Jechałem tą wyznaczoną przez Zumi-NaviExpert.

Aby sprawdzić czy moja analiza ma oparcie w faktach posłużę się mapką średnich prędkości w Poznaniu z godziny 16.

Newralgiczne miejsca zaznaczyłem fioletowymi kółkami (od góry z lewej na prawą):

• dojazd do Ronda Jana Nowaka-Jeziorańskiego czerwony i ciemnoczerwony - korek!
• dojazd na most Dworcowy ciemnoczerwony - korek!
• przejazd Królowej Jadwigi na wysokości placu Andersa ciemnoczerwony - korek!
• dojazd do Królowej Jadwigi Drogą Dębińską czerwony - korek!
• i na koniec Hetmańska (kółko w dolnym rzędzie z lewej) to ten przypadek z trasy powrotnej Google ciemnoczerwony - czyli także korek!

Co jeszcze można z tej mapy wyczytać?

• trasa Grochowska-Hetmańska jest przejezdna prawie na całej długości z wyjątkiem dwóch miejsc: przed skrzyżowaniem z Reymonta (tam faktycznie czasami się stoi - kolor ciemnoczerwony i czerwony) oraz przed Rondem Starołęka - czerwony. Pomijając krótkie odcinki reszta jest zielona lub żółta czyli przejezdna!
• podobnie Dolna Wilda jest dobrze przejezdna z wyjątkiem ostatniego odcinka przed Królowej Jadwigi

Google nie planuje tras na podstawie tych danych tylko na podstawie map i informacji o tym czy drogi są główne czy podrzędne i ... dlatego tak się myli. Przynajmniej w tych pokazanych przypadkach. Sądzę raczej, że jest to także reguła w innych miastach. Inne systemy planują lepiej, ale także korzystają z map nie posiłkując się informacjami o średnich prędkościach. Przewagę tu zdają się osiągać systemy online, które planują trasy z wykorzystaniem danych o prędkościach przejazdu. Ale co więcej dane te są na pewno zmienne i zależą od aktualnego układu remontów, objazdów, pory dnia i dnia tygodnia. Pokazałem to na przykładzie NaviExperta i jak widać ta przewaga nie objawia się na każdej trasie. W opisanych przypadku bardziej na trasie pierwotnej a zupełnie nie na powrotnej (z wyjątkiem trasy Google).

Dla tych z Was, którzy nie mieszkają w Poznaniu analiza tego przypadku może być utrudniona za co z góry przepraszam ;-)

Kiedy poszukiwania nie przyniosły rezultatu, kontroler chciał wypisać pasażerce mandat. Ta nie chciała podać swoich danych osobowych i próbowała wysiąść z pojazdu. Kiedy drogę zagrodził jej drugi z kontrolerów, kobieta uderzyła go w głowę i silnie ugryzła w ramię.

Agresywna pasażerka została przewieziona na komisariat gdzie ją przesłuchano. Za atak na kontrolera grożą jej dwa lata więzienia. Sprawę bada prokuratura. Jak twierdzi policja, rana kąsana kontrolera nie jest groźna.

Kara za przejazd bez ważnego biletu poznańskimi środkami komunikacji wynosi 200 złotych.[gazeta.pl]

“Bison Grass Vodka” the writing on the bottle read and someone whispered in my ear “ it’s vodka with bison urine”. I don’t know about you, but no animal in the past stopped me from getting hammered and a bison was certainly not going to be the first. I’ve heard about the Polish heroes for weeks and now it was my time to show my courage. Pulaski, Mickiewicz and Casimir. They all took extreme measures in order to survive and I was about to do the same.

The place not to go of the day: Blue Note next to the Poznan City Castle. While they claim to be a jazz bar, they are not. I even attented to their special “fado” and “blues” nights but what they were playing was neither fado nor blues.

So I was sitting on a metal chair, watching the lead singer what-ever-her-name-is’ hidious haircut and trying to put up with the pathetic excuse of a music they were playing; I realised it was time for some serious extreme measures. My feet dragged me to the bar and and I said “vodka-cherry coke please; with your strongest vodka”. And that’s how I met Zubrowka. Some say it was a passionate affair; some claim that it was the love of my life. I don’t know if it was love, but whatever it was, the pee-vodka made me happy for the five months while I stayed in Poland, and I’m thankful for that.

Poznan  city tip number four: If you are a big drinker like me then you are going to enjoy your stay in Poland a lot. While the prices are extremely low, the variety and quality is just amazing. You can find at least a few brands of Polish beer and vodka even in the smallest of shops and most of them are open for 24 hours. Now that I’m back in my home country, my heart goes out to all Polish people out there, that started the day with a cold bottle of Tyskie; and finished it with some Wyborowa.

Polish culture lesson number two: What amazed me the most about Polish people were their drinking habits. Polish people are generally extremely nice and civilised; but I always believed that drunken bar fights were international phenomenons and that Poland was no exception. I was wrong. I don’t know if it’s their DNA or their culture, but everyone just seemed to be minding their own business, even when they were wasted.  I’ve seen my share of cultures in Europe and I must say, I nominate Polish people for the Nobel Prize of best drinking buddies in the continent. So the next time you are in Poland, grab a couple of Poles and go do some heavy drinking. It’s the carnivalesque fun of being drunk; minus the rumbles of guys and catfights of girls.

What was supposed to be a one night stand, turned into something more than that. Call it addiction or commitment; I returned Turkey with half of my suitcase packed with Zubrowka. Now, two months later, I’m writing from rehab, sharing a room with Amy Winehouse and I’m proud to say I don’t regret a thing. So cheers for some pee-vodka; or as they say: Nazdrovie!

Wer mal ein richtiges Roadmovie der etwas skurillen Art erleben möchte, der fährt besser nach Polen. Wer bei Frankfurt/Oder über die Grenze überschreitet, bei der man nicht mehr zeitaufwändig kontrolliert wird (Polen ist seit Januar 2008 ein Schengen-Staat), der wird von einer abwechslungsreichen 120 km langen Landstrasse begrüßt, auf der es wahnsinnig viel zu entdecken gibt ! Zwar wird gerade mal wieder an der Autbahn gebaut, aber aus diversen Gründen wird der Bau immer wieder unterbrochen, sodaß in Polen ca. 3000 km Autobahn fehlen. Die Kosten für den Bau sind durch die Unterbrechungen schon so astronomisch in die Höhe gestiegen, sodaß die zukünftige Maut dafür so teuer sein wird, das alle Trucks wohl weiterhin die Landstrasse benutzen werden. Das erklärt auch den Neubau gigantischer Truckertankstellen an der Landstrasse.

Erste Regel: Überhole alle Lastwagen auf der Gegenspur BEI GEGENVERKEHR ! Auf den ersten 10 km und dann auch immer wieder zwischen den Orten gibt es einen schmalen Standstreifen, auf den die Trucks in der Regel ausweichen. Super für Adrenalin-Junkies, wenn man zwischen 2 LKWs auf der Mitte einer Landstrasse durchhuscht. Das erinnert mich immer an die Szene in Starwars, bei der der Millenium Falcon aus dem sich schließenden Maul eines Monsters entweicht das in dem Inneren eines Asteroiden lebt. Daß das nicht immer so super funktioniert, sieht man an einem interessanten polnischen Verkehrsschild:

Dieses Schild bedeutet, das auf dem folgenden Streckenabschnitt 8 Leute ihr leben gelassen haben und 53 Personen verletzt wurden. Ich frage mich immer, wer das aktualisiert, wenn sich die Zahlen verändern. Kategorien wären auch noch spannend: Frontalzusammenstoss, Gegen den Baum, von der Strasse abgekommen, Prostituierte überfahren...

Zweite Regel: haltet Euch an die Verkehrsregeln ! In jedem Ort steht ein Blitzer, die zwar überhaupt nicht funktionieren, aber es gibt an bestimmten Tagen überraschend viele Mausefallen. Ausserdem sind die Auswüchse und Sehenswürdigkeiten so interessant, das sich das Einhalten der Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung lohnt.

Zwischen den Ortschaften werden im Wechsel an Haltebuchten Beeren, Pilze, Honig, Europaletten, Körperflüssigkeits-Absaugdienstleistungen und Holzschnitzfiguren angeboten. Bei keinem der Angebotenen Produkte habe ich jemals einen Kunden halten sehen, aber irgenwie muss sich das Geschäft lohnen.

Die Landstraße führt durch einige Ortschaften, die sich wirtschaftlich komplett dem Reiseverkehr angepasst haben. Irgendwann ist ein Geschäftsmann auf die Idee gekommen, das man die Trucker besonders mit amerikanischen Namen in ihr Etablissment locken kann. So heisst ein gigantischer Truck Stop nach dem US Staat "Nevada". Die Masche scheint zu fruchten, denn nur einige Kilometer finded man das "Las Vegas" und noch ein bisschen weiter ein Hotel das von der Architektur stark an einen Saloon aus einem x-beliebigen Western aussieht. Ich fühle mich an eine Zeit erinnert, wo alles Cool war, was aus Ami-Land zu uns rüberschwappte. Musik, Mode, Fastfood, Softdrinks, Computerspiele..., wann war das ? Anfang der 80er ? Schon toll, wie sehr einem ein paar Jahre Busch-Regierung die Augen öffnen kann ;-)

Es laufen ständig kleine Mädchen über die Straße, leider sind die meistens nicht in Begleitung eines gigantischen roten Balons (oder ist das ein Riesenlutscher mit Ohren ?), deswegen wird häufig darauf hingewiesen

Ansonsten ist am Straßenrand Werbung trumpf. Wer die Szene aus "Brazil" kennt, in der die Autobahn links und rechts ohne Unterbrechung mit Plakatwänden zugepflastert ist, bekommt eine Vorstellung vom zukünftigen Polen. Die durchaus vielseitige und schöne Natur wird von Postern unterbrochen, damit der geneigte Autofahrer auch ganz sicher weiss, weit es noch bis zum nächsten Nightclub ist, respektive wie lange der Samen noch gestaut werden muss. In diesem Zusammenhang finde ich 2 dinge Amüsant. Die Nachtclubs sind immer 24 Std. geöffnet und viele von ihnen tragen den Namen "Alibi-Club". Ich stelle mir folgende Szene vor:

Frau: "Warum kommst Du so spät nach Hause ?"
Mann: "Ich war noch was trinken im Alibiclub"
Frau: "Ach soooo, na dann, und ich dachte, Du wärst schon wieder bei den Nutten gewesen"

Wirklich durchaus preiswert und recht gut ist das Essen in den Tankstellenrestaurants. Hier bekommt man alles, was der Pole auch von seiner Mutter gekocht bekommt. Zurek, Flatschki und Piroggen, ausprobieren lohnt sich. Ausserdem kommt man, wenn man dem polnischen mächtig ist, oder in polnische Begleitung ab und zu ins Gespräch und erfährt von Truckern viel verlässlichere Verkehrsnachrichten als aus dem Radio. Zu alledem die Anzahl der Verkehrsopfer und wie man die Stelle umfahren könnte. Ausserdem ist Tanken im Schnitt 20 ct. billiger als in Deutschland, was aber hier von einer Tankstelle zur Nächsten auch bis zu 5 ct variiert.

Noch so ein Ding sind Baustellen. Man stelle sich vor: Auf der Hauptverkehrsverbindung zwischen Berlin und Posen wird immer an irgendeiner Stelle gebaut. Brücke ausbessern, Kreisverkehr einrichten, Bäume fällen, Schlaglöcher füllen, Fahrbahnmarkierung erneuern... und für viele dieser Arbeiten wird eine Spur gesperrt. Ärgerlich, da je Richtung nur eine Spur zur Verfügung steht. Deswegen steht dann so ein Fahnenmännchen da und leitet abwechselnd die Spuren an der Baustelle vorbei. Der Rückstau beträgt mehrere Kilometer. Aber das gibt einem wenigstens Zeit, die vielen lustigen Hinweisschilder und Werbetafeln ganz genau zu studieren.

Nach 120 km kann man wählen: 50 km funkelniegelnagelneuer Highway für 11 Zlotti, oder 70 weitere Kilometer Landstraße - wem 20 min. extra nun auch schon sch....egal sind, der fährt Landstrasse, denn ab hier wird diese richtig schön !

Poznan city tip number two: You can learn what’s hot in the city just by looking at posters. Poznan is covered with posters for events; from walls to traffic lights, every club is trying to let you know that there’s something good going on. I may go on to say you don’t even need the internet to learn what’s going on. If that’s not good enough for you, there are people everywhere handing out flyers for some party. I got the habit of collecting whatever they are handing out, after I learned that they were getting paid for the amount of flyers they handed. Fifty Groces is an awfully low amount; so if you are like me you’ll be returning home with tens of flyers in your pockets.

So one particularly cold night out, when I’m going back home from some heavy partying, I see them. Five big muscled men, staring back at me on a poster that said a lot of Polish things, and the word Chippendales. You can blame it on the vodka, I blame it on voyeurism. No matter what the reason was I was excited as hell. All I needed was thirty Zlotys and I would be a part of the show.

The next day I woke up with a pretty bad hangover. I couldn’t remember half of my night except one thing: there were going to be some dude-stripping tonight. I was supposed to go to the bank and to a pretty important lecture but none of them was as exciting as some six-packs so I decided to take the day off and rest.

The news traveled in a flash of light. There were about twenty girls now; eager to see dirty dance routines. I even convinced the shyest of my friends. We were ready to go; we felt like we were pioneers, we felt like we were the baldest of our kind, we felt like nothing could stop us. Except for one thing: We didn’t know where the club was.

Poznan city tip number three: On the contrary of the older generation, young Poles can speak pretty good English. So whenever you get lost, no matter what time, you can rely on the future of Poland: the youngsters. After spending some amount of time looking for the place, and me telling strangers that I was looking for some strippers, we made our way to Club Alcatraz.

To our surprise we only had to pay ten zlotys. That’s the beauty of Poland, no matter what price they are asking, it turns out that you can have it for a bit cheaper. We entered the room, packed with Polish women; already half as drunk and impatient. Knowing that I had to be drunk as well I ordered my drink.

Polish drink of the day: Do not forget to have some Polish beer. While they have great brands like Tyskie, Zywetiec and Lech I prefer them the way they have it: with Blueberry syrup. I don't know what it's called i but they get it when you say syrup and it tastes delicious.

The DJ screamed something in Polish and every single person in the room got super excited . The DJ screamed something else and the Polish ladies responded all together at the same time. Suddenly this turned into an actual conversation. I didn’t even know if they were talking about males in thongs or the current political consensus of Poland. Just as I was about to start shouting something back in Turkish, the lights dimmed and three men entered the stage.

Now I am not going to give you detailed descriptions of the striptease show, the moves they got and their penis sizes, but I can assure you it was one of the funniest experience I’ve had in my life. You must keep in mind that it was not at all sexy or arousing at all, It rather made you giggle like a little girl and smile all the time. So if you are in town and if you are looking for some unusual fun stuff to do, keep an eye on the posters. Various Chippendales groups come to Poznan at least twice a year for a couple of days. And if you are lucky, you can get a lap dance-a completely hillarious one.

If you happen to be a guy who is not found of naked hombres, do drop by at club Tuba. They have streaptease shows for guys regularly. The atmosphere is nice and the entrance is free. But if you ask my opinion, big boobs, fake tan is not that fun- and yet again it’s not that Polish neither.

To be honest, it didn’t start off very well. Well, it actually did start off very well but I was too dumb to understand that. The place I was staying, The Nishevska dormitory (or however the hell you spell it) was in the middle of nowhere. It would be more accurate to say that it was placed in the suburbia of Poznan. It was extremely accessible I must admit; but any Turkish girl would feel the same way I did. After being harassed by men in the streets for way too many years, I’m sure that you too would dread walking alone in the night with no one around. The way the street looked from my window before I went to bed, got me pretty convinced that I was bound to get raped. How I felt changed in only three days after spending time in Poznan, but we will get to that later.

I was too eager to discover the city and I was not in the mood for waiting for some damn mentor. Since I asked for the tram to the center of the town the night before, all I needed was a ticket. After putting on three hundred and sixty seven sweaters plus the outerwear for mountain people, I got off to the cold as hell rape street. I said bilet to the lady in the newspaper toll and she said jtadyanska. I nod, she nod. She could have asked if I wanted to marry his 94 year old father who was looking for a bride; but I didn’t care. As long as I got my ticket I was up for anything.

“All roads lead to Rome” that’s how I thought when I saw a tram coming. Rome was Poznan city center for me and the tram I took was the wrong one. Looking like a confused little tourist always helps. The kind people in the tram were eager to help me; one of them even offered to take me to a place closer to the city center. Thinking that she was a part of the mob and that this was a trap; I followed her in a heartbeat. Unfortunately she was a regular nice Polish girl. We parted ways and I found myself in the big street that led to the old square: Stary Rynek.

Polish culture lesson one: You can not have sandwiches with coffee. I am known for my sweet tooth, but Poles got it way better than me. There are only pastry products in coffee shops. As a coffee addict I needed a meal and a large cappuccino at the same time. 14 hours of not eating got the hold of me. I was not concentrating at anything else than something with cheese and some caffeine. I found what I was looking for at Stary Brovar, the historical mall of Poznan. Keep in mind, if you have the same desire for coffee and a meal together Coffee Heaven gives you the opportunity to nourish yourself; and a free access to wireless internet! For someone who is not a big fan of malls I must admit I was pretty impressed. So I made my way out of the mall and there I was, at Stary Rynek. If you are not sure about where to start your tour, do not hesitate to drop by at the tourist information office there. They are kind, well informed and you can get a load of free stuff!

I turned round and round around the clock tower now that I was full and happy. What Poznan offered was a great combination of the Polish style mixed with the German little town atmosphere. If you are not a resident of central Europe, you will be as amazed as I am. While I was drooling over the sight, I didn’t know that my mentor was pretty upset that I was late.

Poznan city tip one: You can walk everywhere. I mean everywhere. I don’t know about you small towners out there but if you are coming from a relatively large city (or a huge one like mine) you are going to love this thing about the city. And the best part is: The city is completely flat!

So getting help from several Polish dudes (here’s a confusing formula I came up with: It is always more helpful to ask help from the opposite sex, unless they are interested in their same sex, since they are more eager to help you than the ones from your same sex; unless you ask someone from your same sex, who is interested in the same sex) I was at the Jowita Akumulatory, which would be my home for the next five months. After loads and loads of paperwork for residence permits, it was time for partying. I met fafillion people varying from Turkish to Italian; and they took me to Minago.

The place to go of the day: Minago on Nowowiejskiego Street. Like most of the bars in Poznan, the drinks are cheap and the people are fun. It's free for ladies to enter for most of the nights; and it's only five Zlotys for guys. Minago has two dancefloors on two different storeys. The one downstairs plays more 80s music, reggea and hiphop while the one upstairs is more dance and electronic. It's always fun to spend some time there if you like dancing; and the bartenders are super cute.

As we left the bar at 3 in the morning I did not feel like going back to the rape street. I sneaked in to the Jowita dormitory and crashed in my friend’s room. Thanks to a mixture of exhaustion and lots of vodka I was about to fall asleep immediately. It was only then when I realized, the bed was not long enough for me, again!

Writer’s note: I won’t to blabbering about every day I spent in Poznan; I wanted to make a special start.

Koźlaki są ogólno dostępne (już czuję tego kaca...).

Do krainy snów jest tak blisko (i mary są tak rzeczywiste, tak łatwo je zapamiętać).

No i mają świetny antykwariat.

No ... 'mają'? A może 'mamy'?  Jestem z Koszalina, dobrze się czuję w tym mieście o ile nie kłócę się z rodzicielką. Jest mało ludzi, towarzystwa są klaustrofobiczne na dłuższą metę. Ale po takich wyjazdach jak te zaczynam tęsknić za tym miejscem. Jest to kwestia tego, iż umysł, który wypycha z pamięci złe wspomnienia Koszalin idealizuje.

Koszalin - miasto mniejsze i spokojniejsze. Życie tutaj toczy się wolniej. Gdy tu jestem schodzi ze mnie to tempo życia poznańskiego (specyficzne i sinusoidalne u mnie) i patrzę na siebie z boku, dystansu. To jest czas gdy raczej nie mam jak zmienić nic w Poznaniu, ale mam szansę to  wszystko przemyśleć.

Mam wrażenie lekkiej niespójności obu tych światów. I ta niespójność jest chyba we mnie...

Czy Poznań jest moim domem? Czy jest nim Koszalin? Wczoraj nie wiedziałam, dziś już skłaniam się do wielkomiejskiej dżungli, gdzie zawsze jest do kogo wyskoczyć na herbatkę. Ale jako miejsca pobytu. Nie czuję bym miała gdzieś dom. Może gdy wrócę do swojego małego pokoju, to znów poczuję, że mam coś własnego?

Z ciekawostek, z wielkomiejskiej dżungli do małego Koszalina plotki przechodzą z prędkością światła :D.

Prof. Oszkinis, ( Uniwersytet Medyczny w P.), uzasadnia zmianę warunków kontraktów zawartych z dewizowymi studentami, słabym kursem dolara i wymogiem wysokich standardów nauczania. Na koniec puentuje wywód klasycznym zwrotem z poprzedniej epoki: „...Medycyna na prywatnych amerykańskich uczelniach kosztuje przynajmniej 40 tys. dolarów rocznie...”, co oczywiście w konfrontacji z czesnym u profesorka, wynoszącym przed zmianą 14,5 tys., a po zmianie raptem jakieś „marne” 17,4 tys. dolarów wygląda imponująco i spędza magnificencji sen z powiek.

Cóż więc robi wzmiankowany? Podnosi oczywiście czesne w trakcie roku akademickiego, mając w profesorskim poważaniu zapisy kontraktów, tak jak i ma całą resztę norm i form społecznych, a i biznesowy też, w okolicach gruczołu krokowego.

W końcu jego to sprawa, co gdzie ma i w jakim stanie, żal tylko serce ściska, że znowu jakiś człekopodobny tubylec z nadwiślańskiego kraju powoduje swoim, kuriozalnym postępkiem nie wpuszczania na wykłady anglojęzycznych studentów co najmniej wzruszenie ramion u amerykańskich bankierów, którzy - tu cytat z profesorka: „... Aby student mógł otrzymać pożyczkę, uczelnia musi spełniać odpowiednie kryteria, trzymać się wysokich standardów kształcenia. A to też nas kosztuje...” – a priori i w dobrej wierze kredytują coś, czego tak naprawdę nie ma według słów samego Oszkinisa.

Cóż, amerykański bankier nie czyta rozpraw habilitacyjnych i doktorskich, profesorów prowincjonalnych, egzotycznych uczelni, nie czyta, bo nie musi. Jest federalny program, jest kasa, to płaci, ale nie według aspiracji biorcy, a według grafika dawcy, z czego powinna sobie magnificencja zdawać sprawę i cieszyć się tym, co ma, bo jak przegnie, to jakiś nowojorski prawnik puści z torbami nie tylko katedrę, ale i cały uniwersytet...

If there's one thing you can say about the Polish, it's that they are fearless with their food. I think everyone could learn a few things from their culinary genius. Or maybe it's just culinary bravery. I think that the Polish motto is "All ingredients can work together." Nothing demonstrates this more than the steadfast milk bar. These little restaurants are called milk bars because of their heavy reliance on dairy to dole out protein to the hard working citizens. They do have some meat dishes, but those are the most expensive. So during our milk bar tour of Poznan, Gage and I did a lot of vegetarian eating. Since our little guide book didn't give us a bunch of menu translations, we often found ourselves staring at menu boards and only being able to interpret about 6 words out of a few hundred. Our brains found it daunting, but our stomachs didn't care if we were trying to interpret hieroglyphics, it demanded food. In other words, there was a bunch of blind ordering. We've had everything. A soup of milk, macaroni, and sugar. Buttered rice with pineapples, sugar, and whipped cream. Crepe-like pancakes stuffed with beets and cabbage. And it was all delicious. Let this be a lesson to all of us that there are no rules in cooking, only great combinations yet to be discovered.

Gage and I were able to enjoy this milk bar crawl because, well, we weren't quite enchanted by Poznan. We did more eating than exploring. Now let me just calm down the Poznan patriots out there by saying that the city itself is perfectly fine, just not quite extraordinary. For instance, the market square has all the makings of a fine Polish tourist mecca if it wasn't for a couple visual sins. The first being the freaky 70's building the backs up to the gothic town hall.

Of course most residents of Poznan would agree that this architectural mismatch was a mistake. However, if you continue around the building to the front doors of the town hall you are again visually acosted by the adorable fisherman's houses that appear to be painted like in the type of Aztec style that one would find in a kitchsy Mexican restaurant.

If it weren't for the class and beautiful design of Krakow, Wroclaw, and Torun, Poznan would probably be able to get away with these strange eccentricities. But hey, there are plenty of people in the world who like irony, in which case the above mentionings will be seen as fantastic. More power to you.

We did take the time to visit the Citadel Park, which proved to be an interesting experience. The park is probably about 100 or more acres and it is interspersed with statues and sculptures every quarter mile or so. Interesting, but also a bit creepy as it appeared to be virtually abandoned. In the below picture you can see some of the headless statues in the background. Although at one point, we did come across a guy walking through the woods in full camouflage carrying a rifle who appeared to be just as shocked to see us as we were to see him. I know it seems scary, but my only regret was that we didn't get the incident on camera. Don't worry Poznan lovers, I know this isn't common.

Poznan Suggestions:
- Rent a bike. Poznan is very wide and so it takes a lot of time to cover it. The city is also very bike friendly and the tourist office has bike maps that you can use to chart your path. And it's the best way to see citadel park and Lake Malta.
- The milk bar in old town has the best pancakes (nalesniki) in Poland. Get one with any filling and you'll be in heaven.

W raporcie czytamy, że komplet wymogów organizacji transportu naziemnego, przygotowanie lotnisk i zapewnienie wystarczającej liczby miejsc w hotelach spełnią tylko Warszawa i Kraków oraz Chorzów, jeżeli będzie korzystał z bazy hotelowej Krakowa i jego lotniska.

UEFA sugeruje, by zastanowić się nad zmniejszeniem stadionów. Gdańsk, Poznań, Wrocław oraz Odessa na Ukrainie nie będą bowiem w stanie obsłużyć wszystkich kibiców, którzy zmieściliby się na trybunach. Zabraknie miejsc noclegowych, a lotniska nie będą w stanie przyjąć naraz tak dużej liczby pasażerów. Zdaniem Michała Janickiego z wrocławskiego urzędu miasta, na takie sugestie jest za późno, gdyż umowy w sprawie projektów stadionów zostały już podpisane.Raport jako kluczowe wymienia także inwestycje drogowe, zwłaszcza budowę autostrady A4 łączącej Kraków ze Lwowem oraz autostrady A2 łączącej Poznań z Berlinem i Warszawą.(onet)

Tyle, że teraz muszę wybrać między tym, a Politechniką Poznańską, w której wyniki będą dopiero 25 lipca. Ale może iść bez czekania dłuższego na WAT, bo znów się zaskoczę i nie dostanę mimo pewnosci.. A Warszawa mi odpowiada. Się pomyśli. :)
