Several sources have suggested that Israel within the next 100 days will be attacking critical elements of Iran's nuclear weapons program.

After waiting many years for a diplomatic solution, time is running out.

The distinct impression is that Iran's government is just stalling for time.

Iran could have a nuclear weapon sometime within the next year or sooner.

The first target would be Israel, then the USA or Europe.

The only open question is will Israel go it alone or will the attack be a joint Israel and United States attack.

An Israeli attack would be focused on the critical elements that must destroyed to prevent the manufacture of nuclear weapons.

A joint attack would be broader in scope taking out various command and control communication networks as well as radar and anti-aircraft weapon systems.

The attack most likely will be after the elections in the US, but before a new President takes office.

The most likely time frame is mid-November through mid-January.

Background Articles and Videos

Israel on the Iran Brink

"Israel isn't famous for welcoming public scrutiny of its most sensitive military plans. But we doubt Jerusalem officials were dismayed to see news of their recent air force exercises splashed over the front pages of the Western press.

Those exercises – reportedly involving about 100 fighters, tactical bombers, refueling planes and rescue helicopters – were conducted about 900 miles west of Israel's shores in the Mediterranean. Iran's nuclear facilities at Bushehr, Isfahan and Natanz all fall roughly within the same radius, albeit in the opposite direction. The point was not lost on Tehran, which promptly warned of "strong blows" in the event of a pre-emptive Israeli attack.

The more important question is whether the meaning of Israel's exercise registered in Western capitals. It's been six years since Iran's secret nuclear programs were publicly exposed, and Israel has more or less bided its time as the Bush Administration and Europe have pursued diplomacy to induce Tehran to cease enriching uranium.

It hasn't worked. Iran has rejected repeated offers of technical and economic assistance, most recently this month. Despite four years of pleading, the Administration has failed to win anything but weak U.N. sanctions. Russia plans to sell advanced antiaircraft missiles to Iran and finish work on a nuclear reactor at Bushehr, though spent fuel from that reactor could eventually be diverted and reprocessed into weapons-usable plutonium. Chinese companies still invest in Iran, while the U.N.'s chief nuclear inspector, Mohamed ElBaradei, has repeatedly downplayed Iran's nuclear threat. ..."

Israel's Not Bluffing on Iran Nuclear Strikes

"...Despite that American intelligence finding, neither Israel nor many other governments believe that Iran has given up its interest in nuclear weapons. Yes, the UN has passed resolutions and imposed some mild sanctions, but Iran has spent two years disregarding them, continuing to spin its centrifuges and to call for the destruction of Israel. It may well be true that Mr Bush is disinclined to bomb Iran now that he is a lame duck, but the possible advent of a President Obama might just make Israel more inclined to do so itself. As the hawkish John Bolton, a former Bush administration official, said this week, Israel may think the best time to attack would be during America’s presidential transition—too late to be accused of influencing the election and before needing a new president’s green light. ..."

Israel and Iran

It’s later than you think

"...The trouble is, this logic looks different from Tel Aviv. Given their history, a lot of Israelis will run almost any risk to prevent a state that calls repeatedly for their own state’s destruction from acquiring the wherewithal to bring that end about. Till now, the world has talked a lot and applied some modest sanctions to stop Iran’s dash to enrich uranium. It is time to apply much tougher ones, in the hope that it is not already too late."

Both candidates are talking about how they are going to cut taxes. Blah blah blah. Except that they aren't tax cuts, they're proposed tax cuts. Why are they just proposed cuts and not tangible reduction of rates? Oh, America is broke and no cuts would ever be passed once the new President takes office. This week marked the first time that the national debt clock ran out of digits.

The national debt clock, the unofficial tracker of the federal deficit maintained by the Durst Organization in New York, has reached its limits. Last month, as the national debt exceeded $10 trillion for the first time, the clock ran out of digits to record the number.

The dollar sign in the clock had to be deleted and replaced with a one to record the massive number. The clock’s owners say a new model — with space for two extra digits — will be in place early next year.

$10B in Iraq per month isn't helping things. We can always borrom more from China. Sorry Grandkids.

As part of my useless liberal arts education, I was forced to take took a couple of economics classe

As part of my useless liberal arts education, I was forced to take took a couple of economics classes. Quite honestly, I didn't learn a god damn thing from either of them. Economics, in general, is about as boring as it can possibly be.

So when the current economic train wreck hit, I spent a lot of time looking at the TV set as people blabbered-on endlessly about what was going on on Wall Street and thinking to myself what the fuck are they talking about? I admit it. I know nothing about economics.

But, as part of a long line of life experiences, I do know this much: if I have $3.00 in my pocket and I want to buy something that cost $5.00, I am going to need to borrow $2.00 from someone and ultimately there will be consequences because of that $2.00 borrowed.

So in an effort to educate myself on the whole economic meltdown, I went out searching for an answer on the internets. My search, while mostly full of boring charts, graphs and Excel spreadsheets, did have a few exciting moments.

Those moments, however, were quite rare.

I did find one little interesting gem though. It's mostly full of economic-y government-y mind numbing crap, but it is interesting that the original version of this article was written prior to the economic melt-down. It had been amended several times, but the original version was written back in 2003. You can find the entire article here.

Naturally if you don't want to read the entire article, you can just read the important parts, starting with the following graph:

Naturally, you are going to have to click to "embiggen" so you can see just exactly what has been going on with regards to spending vs. revenue and the US government.

This is where it got interesting for me because I wondered to myself how can what the government does with my tax dollar ultimately make or break Wall Street and how does any of that crap have anything to do with me?

That's when I finally forced myself to read all of the words in that little article that contained that really neat graph which was written by an obviously very smart guy by the name of Steve McGourty. Steve said a lot of really smart things, but in my opinion, this little part of the article (which kind of goes along with that graph up there, makes more sense than anything I have ever read in my entire life:

Trickle Down Theory Myth

History has shown that the “trickle down theory” does not work. Republican President Hoover tried the “trickle down” theory (his words) to solve economic problems during the last few years of his only term, when the greatest economic depression this country has ever faced began. It is often called the Republican Depression because it was their financial philosophy that led to the collapse of the economy. Tax cuts for the rich did not work and things got worse. (We are seeing the same problem repeat itself encouraged by the deregulation of the financial industry.)

President Roosevelt got into office, raised taxes on the rich, created jobs for the poor and turned things around. Mr. Reagan employed Hoover’s failed trickle down theory again in the ‘80s and again it did not work. The rich got richer, but the poor got poorer and the economy declined. Mr. Bush Sr., who always had a problem with the “vision thing”, continued the failed policy of his immediate predecessor.

Mr. Clinton took a more progressive approach and, as Roosevelt had done, turned the Hoover model upside down. Instead of making the rich richer in the hope that they would spend that money and thus create demand and therefore jobs, he created a tax environment that encouraged the creation of jobs directly. It was an economic environment where everyone could get rich, not just a few, and it worked. Lots of jobs and lots of new millionaires were created while Clinton was in office. More new millionaires were created during the Clinton administration than at any other time in our history.

President Bush II slipped into office and once again applied the Neo-Con manta of the old trickle down tax model and immediately created a need to raise the debt level to pay for an unjustified tax cut in 2001. Predictably (and before 9/11) the nation lost jobs and there were fewer new millionaires. Not learning from his past mistakes, Bush pushed through yet more tax cuts in 2003, 2005 and 2006 -- all while expanding the military, the largest single component of the budget. He and his lap dog Republican Congress never learned from their mistakes. As a result, the national debt has increased an average of $1.5 billion per day since the beginning of 2002.

While it is a great jabbing sound bite, the facts show that the “tax and spend” rhetoric Republicans often spew about Democrats is not as bad as it sounds. Taxing before spending actually reflects good government. The facts also show that it most often takes a Democratic President to control and reduce spending. The truth is that the Republicans are the party of “borrow and spend”. They hate taxes, but love to spend; their solution is to put off paying till later for our security today. They prefer to see our children pay for their debt. Neo-Conservative thinking has run up over an 9.5 trillion dollar debt that will not be paid off for a generation or more, and is still increasing at an astounding rate with no end to deficit spending in sight.

Mr. McGourty then goes on to say (referring to the graph above):

The graph above in Figure 3 illustrates the myth that you can cut taxes and increase spending and expect to get increased government revenue. Interestingly, since Johnson, every Democrat has increased revenue more than spending. However in the opposite case, under all five Republican Presidents, since Nixon, government revenue has decreased and spending has increased. This is positive, unambiguous proof that cutting taxes does not increase revenue. Yet John McCain is still trying to sell that old canard.

The contrast between Clinton’s tax policies and the second Bush’s are dramatically evident from this data. By setting up taxes to help the middle class and small business Clinton stimulated economy so much that we saw the largest increase in government revenue in history. The Neo-Con “trickle down” policy clearly does not work. You cut taxes and you reduce government revenue, period. That is the real truth, no matter how many times we are told you must make the wealthy just a little richer to improve the economy. That does not work and the numbers above prove it.

My only take on the whole thing is this:

Leave it George Bush to emulate the economic policies of Herbert Hoover who, it is widely believed, was the second dumbest president the US ever had.

No on a totally unrelated note, I would like to apologize to my female readers who have recently hauled me up short for posting way too many pictures of hot women and no pictures of men. I am sorry and would like to rectify that situation.

I would like to rectify the situation, but I simply can't.

So in honor of our economic woes, I would like to remind you of days gone by and maybe days yet to come.

..that are bad luck contagious and that it's can be valid even after a day has passed?

Just kidding. However, today was the worst day things I can get. Do let me explain...when I was over the moon seeing that my Cliff and Fayt had finally reached level 50 after tons of repeated rounds of walking out the door and re-entering the door just to fight those two awfully high EXP monsters and my Nel finally learned the flying gulotine skill...the game froze just as I was about to save the whole thing and proceed to the next stage.

I mean...meh. that 40 odd mins of in and out of the map was totally used for NOTHING. NOTHING! *orz* Of course this might seems nothing for people who trains their characters to awesome levels *does a great salute* and I understand it's very tough, so yea.

._. shall try my luck again and hope it doesnt freeze again *crosses fingers*

...I lost my concession card. T_T;;;

I was watching a Ted video on Climate Crisis and I recalled a George Carlin monolouge on savnig the planet.

Both say that people are the cause of global warming and climate crisis. That is agreed by both videos, in my view.George Carlin has this point that there are reccuring ice ages and the planet may cleanse itself. Technically, we only reason why climate crisis is called a crisis is because we are at risk, animals are at risk. The only animals that are not at risk are the marine life and the marine creatures who will have this big giant planet covered with H2O for them to swim in. Man I wish I was a fish some how.

Humans are at risk. No one wants to die. When events are given the term 'crisis', it means one thing.Okay, may be two things. We, human beings, will suffer in a negative way and live through it and, We, iggnorant human beings, are going to die. You will not use the word 'crisis' in any other way. Trust me.

Climate Crisis is important if we want to know what the earth will look like 20 years from now, or not we all better grow gills. I wonder if those Bio-Chemist can turn us all into fish.

to be playing nice, Senator McCain.

I can appreciate that you want to run an honorable campaign and not get into spreading rumors, and what may be outright lies about Senator Obama. I get that.

And I have to agree with you to a degree. Senator Obama is probably a good family man who cares for his wife and kids. And if Senator Obama and I were to meet on the street, I would not fear that man.

However, I, along with a lot of other Americans are fearful.... gravely fearful of his politics and where he will take this country.

I am fearful for the unborn babies.

I am fearful for our Constitutional rights. Make no mistake, if Senator Obama is elected into office, and even if you get into office, there are many, my self included, who will continue to be outspoken critics of anyone who continues to enact legislation that further erodes what is protected by our Constitution.

I am fearful that my children, and my future grand children will not have a country where they are allowed to fail. The ability to fail, and more importantly, the ability to excel beyond our imagination is what sets this country apart. Those who espouse socialism seek to destroy that which makes our country great.

I could go on.

Senator McCain, you were not my first choice for the candidacy. When you picked Gov. Palin to be your vice president, you showed yourself to be an aggressive player who would do something unconventional to win, and you ignited an enthusiasm for your candidacy which simply did not exist prior to that pick. Our enthusiasm is waning.

When i just a budding teenager, my dad impressed upon me the importance of the people you surround yourself with. Like it or not, you will pick up their ideas and habits, regardless of how independently you carry yourself. As I was studying computer science in college, we learned the concept of "Garbage In, Garbage out". I firmly believe it applies to people as well. NOW is the time to directly question Obama on his associations with the likes of Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, ACORN, and the Democratic Socialists of America. It needs to be done by you, to his face, on a camera so that he can answer these questions for the America public.

Senator, now is the time to be unconventional. Now is the time to be aggressive. Your supporters expect you to attack Senator Obama at every turn.

You have one more chance with the next debate. Show us that temper. Bring a plan. Be unconventional. Be in charge. If you lose the debate, you have blown the election.

I don't care how good of a person you think he is.

Win the fight.

As of this moment, I have been buzzing and nudging my boyfriend on YM and Windows Live and he hasn't been answering, so I'm getting kind of annoyed already. I guess he's sleeping off his ass right now - as always. I know I shouldn't be like, hyped up everytime I see him online (which is everyday :p) because I know he has lots of things to do, but I just can't help it. Hahaha.

Anyway.

I know I haven't been updating, sorry, sorry. I have been feeding my obsessions for the last few days, and those are my dose of Naruto manga chapters, accompanied by backreads when I feel like it, and then downloading music. I've been experimenting into different genres, since I'm getting tired of the songs in my iPod, so I thought of getting it overhauled.

The second to the list of obsessions is my never ending love for Oreo. I swear I've spent 50 bucks (exagg!) for the last two weeks just buying Oreo at the supermarket and ending up eating almost all of them (good thing hindi pa ako tumataba, haha). Gluttony.. holy mackerel.

The third is, well, a secret for now. Hahaha! I'll be dishing it out sooner or later. But for now, I'll end the post here. I'm running out of things to say! Gonna go bloghopping! :D Ciao dearies!

One reason we like so much to read other people's blog is to hear about how that person's day went horribly wrong. Hehe.. The sordid details of their suffering, albeit perversely, puts a smile on our faces. :) Especially when the person is someone that we dislike in the first place.

On the other hand, we may also like reading other people's blog because we're jealous of how much more interesting their lives are compared to our own. :? I don't know how this puts a smile on anyone's face but apparently it does. Perhaps it's all the smiles in the endless sea of pictures of their oh-so-happy life.

I would never know.

My blog is so different from everyone else's. :| I don't write about my personal suffering(s) nor do I upload a sea of pictures. ;) In this sense, I'm not a conventional blogger. I blog random nonsense which has got little or nothing to do with my own life. :D

It simply maketh no sense.

Why do you read my blog? Do you like me? Is that it? Huh? Huh?

End joke: A person wanted more sauce on his pasta so he asked the waiter, "Can I have more 'paghetti please?" I was like, "Huhhh.. 'paghetti eh??!?..".

It has occurred to me that my parents think I have an eating disorder, because I do not enjoy eating particular Indonesian foods that they cook for me. I also follow quite a different eating pattern to them; for example, I eat lunch at 12pm to 1pm, while my parents can still hold out until 3pm or perhaps even as late as 4pm.

So I eat earlier than them - they don't find anything wrong with that - but when it's time for them to eat, they ask me why I'm not eating with them. "I'm full, I reply," refusing the plate chock full of food they place in my face. "What did you eat that made you full?!" they ask, "A foccacia does not fill you up!" They then proceed to try and force feed me, despite my honest to heaven claims that I am full.

If I tell you I'm full, people, I'm full! I don't need you hackin' asking me if I'm hungry every two minutes! Stupid control freaks...
