10.) Aaron Cunningham--Oakland A's OF

• Cunningham was outstanding after his promotion to AAA Sacramento in early August where he hit .382 with 5 HR 19 RBI and 21 runs scored in just 20 games.  Replacing top prospect and fellow former Diamondback Carlos Gonzalez, Cunningham has 3 hits in 10 AB's in limited CF action with the A's.  Cunnigham's game is reminiscent of a former Oakland outfielder Eric Byrnes.  Cunningham plays the game all out, has surprising power for a player his size.  His above average speed allows for him to be successful on the basepaths and in covering the spacious outfield gaps in McAfee Collesium.  The A's are in full blown rebuild mode (again) and Cunningham will be given every opportunity to prove himself as an everyday MLB outfielder.

I. INTRODUCCION

El conocimiento del RCS de distintos barcos es un aspecto critico en los radares de superficie utilizados para vigilancia costera, la identificación de los distintos buques puede realizarse conociendo el RCS teórico de los mismos, pero, este procedimiento es a menudo un trabajo de cálculo muy engorroso, es por esto que la utilización de métodos numéricos por medio de algoritmos de computadora es la solución idónea a este problema. Sin caer en muchas formalidades, ya que no es el objetivo de este documento, podemos obtener la ecuación del radar bajo este razonamiento; dado que en la mayoría de los sistemas de radar se utiliza una sola antena conmutando entre emisor y receptor y sabiendo que la intensidad de una señal en el espacio libre varia con el inverso del cuadrado de la distancia recorrida, para una antena que recibe la reflexión esta dependerá del inverso de la cuarta potencia de la distancia, ahora bien, es lógico pensar que esta reflexión viene afectada por la geometría del objeto y su composición, estas características se resumen en un parámetro, el RCS, que viene siendo, por definición, el área de una placa perfectamente conductora que reflejaría la misma potencia hacia el receptor, ya que el objetivo no es de conductor perfecto ni se encuentra orientado de frente al emisor el RCS siempre es menor al área de la sección transversal del objetivo.

En base a lo anterior podemos cuantificar la potencia reflejada de la siguiente manera:

:RCS medido en metros cuadrados , Pr :Potencia reflejada hacia la fuente en watts, Pt : Potencia irradiada por la fuente en watts G:Ganancia de la antena como una relación de potencias, r :Distancia al objetivo expresada en metros, :Longitud de onda en el espacio libre.

La definición teórica del RCS arroja la siguiente fórmula:

Se utilizara una polarización vertical que es la misma utilizada en los radares de superficie en la banda de las HF, considerando la altura de estos barcos que pueden sobrepasar los 25 metros, nos encontraremos en zonas de resonancia y Rayleight para las frecuencias comprendidas entre 3 y 5 Mhz. En este documento presentare los resultados y comparativas con los datos obtenidos en el articulo original acerca de las simulaciones realizadas que determinan entre otras cosas el RCS promedio del buque CCGS de la marina canadiense, todas realizadas con el software WIPL-D® (DEMO) [1]. El modelo del barco fue realizado con placas de conductor perfecto, todas y cada una eléctricamente conectadas, las dimensiones del barco son, eslora, 63 metros , su altura 25 metros y su manga: 20 metros (ver figura 1), adicionalmente el plano XY corresponde a un plano infinito de conductor perfecto, esto, para emular el efecto del agua salada a las frecuencias de operación (ver figura 2), para el rango de operación puede verse que la tangente de perdidas es mucho mayor a uno, por lo que puede considerarse muy buen conductor a esas frecuencias.

II. CONSIDERACIONES SOBRE LA VERSIÓN DEMO DEL WIPL-D

La versión utilizada para realizar las simulaciones es la V. 6.0 DEMO, la cual se encuentra limitada en cuanto al número de incógnitas que puede contener el problema a resolver, así como el numero de nodos, placas y alambres utilizables dentro de la simulación, es por esto que en esta investigación no pude realizar simulaciones con frecuencias por encima de 3.3 Mhz ya que estas arrojaban el error "Input Data Over Flow" que corresponde a un exceso en el numero de incógnitas. Por otro lado, otro aspecto a resaltar sobre el software, es el sistema de referencia utilizado para las coordenadas esféricas, el ángulo q posee un valor igual a 0 sobre el plano XY y no 90° como es costumbre en la referencia utilizada durante el curso. Las demás componentes (r,) si comparten la misma referencia estudiada.

III. RCS DEL BUQUE CCGS

Para el cálculo se utilizara un RCS monoestatico, que se fundamenta en un sistema de una sola antena. Primero se realizara una simulación a 3.1 Mhz con un barrido desde –90° a 90° en , debido a la simetría respecto al plano YZ los resultados correspondientes al rango de 90 a 360 se consideran simétricos. Ya que estamos hablando de un radar de superficie, la componente se mantiene igual a 0. Luego repetiré lo propio pero a una frecuencia de 3.3 Mhz (ver figura 3 y 4).

La investigación de Hank Leong y Harold Wilson arrojo que para la frecuencia de 3.1 Mhz con un =90° el rcs obtenido fue de 40 dbm^2 y para la frecuencia de 4.1Mhz el rcs fue de 41 dbm^2. En comparación con mis resultados tenemos que para 3.1 Mhz el RCS sobre el mismo ángulo es de 39.8 dbm^2 y para 3.3 Mhz es de 43.1 dbm^2. Para 3.1 Mhz en RCS promedio fue de 37.5 dbm^2 y para 3.3 Mhz de 38.9 dbm^2. Además se realizaron 3 simulaciones adicionales para calcular el valor del RCS para distintos ángulos de incidencia sobre el buque lo que arrojo los resultados expuestos en la figura 5.

IV. INTERPRETACIÓN DE LOS RESULTADOS

Las conclusiones en el documento de Hank Leong y Harold Wilson no se extendieron mas allá de lo planteado en el punto anterior, esto pese a que tuvieron acceso a un radar de la marina para poder comprobar el resultado de su simulación y además su investigación está orientada con fines distintos a este. Como estudiante de ingeniería y siendo esto un trabajo de investigación es mi deber orientar este documento con fines mas académicos y explicar con mayor detenimiento lo que para muchos entendidos en el área es evidente, esto se menciona para justificar la razón por la cual en el articulo original no se presta especial cuidado en este punto.

Debido a que es poco lo que la literatura ofrece acerca del RCS de buques bajo las condiciones del experimento, me vi en la tarea de desarrollar un método calificativo para comprender el comportamiento de las graficas del RCS obtenidas (Figuras 3 y 4). Por medio de un software de diseño 3d denominado "3d studio max" construí un nuevo modelo del barco manteniendo la escala del mismo, se utilizo un material que refleja la luz sobre las capas del barco y posteriormente se ilumino desde el plano de observación con una fuente de luz isotropica, posteriormente me dispuse a girar el modelo sobre su eje observándolo siempre desde el mismo punto (=0) (verfigura 6). Este experimento permite expresar de manera clara el comportamiento de las curvas de RCS obtenidas sobre las figuras 3 y 4, gracias a que el material refleja la luz, el modelo parecerá iluminarse más o menos dependiendo de la intensidad de luz que sobre el incide, que para nuestro supuesto, la luz simula el frente de onda incidente sobre el modelo.

En base a la figura 6 podemos observar claramente mínimos sobre los ángulos –42° y 42° debido a la poca reflexión de luz sobre las caras del barco así como también son evidentes los máximos a –90°, 0 y 90°, resultados que corresponden con el comportamiento de las graficas.

Si bien este método es una aproximación bastante acertada en el caso de frecuencias ópticas, es una manera bastante didáctica de interpretar los resultados aun a frecuencias cercanas. El comportamiento de las curvas sobre la figura 5 muestra mínimos y máximos que son muestra de que el objetivo se encuentra en zona de resonancia.

V. CONCLUSIONES

En el articulo original de Hank Leong y Harold Wilson, se obtuvieron desviaciones en los resultados alrededor de 4 dbm^2 para el RCS desde ciertos ángulos en comparación con el RCS medido en campo con un eco marino, en mi investigación obtuve desviaciones respecto al trabajo de Hank Leong y Harold Wilson de 0.3 dbm^2 mínimo y 3 dbm2 máximo. El RCS promedio para el buque CCGS fue de 37 dbm^2, y el comportamiento de las graficas de RCS en función de y de f resultaron correctas. La utilización de software computacional para resolver problemas de electromagnetismo a través de métodos numéricos bien puede arrojar resultados aproximados, pero dado a la potencia de las computadoras modernas y lo refinado que se vuelven los algoritmos permiten obtener resultados con una alta precisión.

En cuanto al método grafico para "observar" el RCS, parece resultar una buena aproximación al menos para rangos de frecuencias próximos a las ópticas, que bien no es un método cuantitativo pero como comente anteriormente en una buena técnica por su alto potencial didáctico.

BUY/SELL Analysis

Chris Coghlan is one of the only guys on this list that I haven't written about in previous posts.  Coghlan is a former supplimental 1st round pick out of the University of Mississippi who plays the game with grit and passion.  Coghlan is not a power hitter, he often employs an inside-out swing, though he has the potential to drive balls well into the gaps for extra bases.  Coghlan is one of several Marlins prospects who runs the bases extremely well, stealing 34 bases in 44 tries.  He walks more than he strikes out (67BB/65K) and does all the little things to drive in runs and move runners.  He is still learning 2B after being converted from 3B last season, though his range, arm, and glove should allow him to stay there.  Coghlan has autographed 1st year cards in the 2007 Bowman Chrome Prospect and Bowman's Best.  He also has cards available in the 2007 Bowman Heritage set.  The autographs vary in price from as low as $3-5 for his Bowman's Best to $6-9 for his Bowman Chrome cards.

Market Advice: Coghlan reminds me of a poor man's Dustin Pedroia.  He likes to get his uniform dirty, he makes good contact with the ball, runs well, works the count and can hit the occasional long ball.  The Marlins are by no means going to every supplant the Red Sox in popularity, but this is an organization that is thick with talent and is primed to be one of the top NL teams again within the next year or two.  Coghlan is not going to challenge Dan Uggla for his job anytime soon, but Uggla may find himself moving to 3B once Coghlan is ready (especially on the heels of this year All-Star game meltdown).  Expect Coghlan to challenge for a roster spot this next spring making him a strong BUY right now.

Cand am vazut ca netul celor de la iLink cam da rateuri, pe 6 mai m-am dus surazatoare la RDS. Vesela ca in sfarsit o sa am si eu net normal, am incheiat si contract CATV, ca era prea imbietoare oferta si n-am rezistat. Cu alte cuvinte, ar fi trebuit sa am cablu TV, net si telefon cu 56 lei pe luna (pachetul de net fiind FiberLink2, de 35 lei). Am semnat 3 contracte frumoase si deja am inceput sa dau sfoara in tara ca n-o sa mai am probleme cu netul. Un prieten m-a avertizat ca va dura foarte mult instalarea (la el a durat 3 luni!), dar am inceput sa rad si i-am spus ca e imposibil, termenul din contract e de o luna.

Dupa vreo 2-3 zile aveam cablu TV si deja ii asteptam pe cei cu netul. Si am tot asteptat... vreo 4 luni, timp in care am facut sesizari la punctul de lucru si la dispecerat, am scris mail-uri si tot degeaba. Am fost foarte ocupata si nu am avut timp nici sa fac o reclamatie la OPC, dar probabil nu s-ar fi rezolvat nimic. Cine sunt eu sa ma pun cu marele si fabulosul RDS?

Am hotarat sa plec din tara, asa ca m-am dus sa intreb la fel de surazatoare ce trebuie sa fac sa reziliez contractul. Mi s-a explicat ca il pot rezilia doar intre 1 si 15 ale lunii. Toate bune si frumoase, am mai asteptat 2 saptamani si azi dimineata la ora 9 eram la ei la usa. Am petrecut 45 de minute cu personalul "binevoitor". Asta doar ca sa printeze cateva foi.

Pentru ca am fost in concediu, am uitat sa platesc abonamentul la cablu si l-au decuplat. Nici o problema, ma gandesc. Platesc sumele restante si totul e ok. Dar... surpriza: trebuie sa platesc si luna septembrie, desi nu mai vreau si nu mai am nevoie. De ce? Pentru ca cica deja s-a emis factura pe septembrie. Interesant... daca eu am mers pe 1 (luni) dimineata, ei cand au emis factura? Duminica dupa miezul noptii? Partea cea mai frumoasa acum urmeaza: ca sa platesc abonamentul pe septembrie, a trebuit sa platesc si taxa de recuplare :) Deci am platit un serviciu in avans de care nu mai am nevoie. E ca in filmele cu prosti.

De cate ori am fost la punctul de lucru (inclusiv azi), am auzit zeci de oameni nemultumiti de servicii, carora nu le functiona nimic (net, cablu tv, telefon). And guess what? Au facut zeci de sesizari si reclamatii si nimeni nu s-a sinchisit sa le dea macar un amarat de telefon. Pe mine m-au sunat o singura data, dupa 4 luni de la semnarea contractului. Am avut o satisfactie imensa cand le-am spus "Nu, multumesc, nu mai am nevoie de serviciile voastre".

Ca sa fac o comparatie, iLink e extraordinar pe langa RDS. Si-au imbunatatit serviciile, cei din call-center sunt mult mai amabili, problemele (din ce in ce mai rare) se rezolva in maxim 24 de ore. Sper sa-i tina si sa fure cat mai multi clienti de la RDS.

Daca vreti sa alegeti oferta "fantastica" de la RDS, va sfatuiesc sa va ganditi de doua ori. Nu stiu altii cum sunt, dar eu m-am saturat sa-si bata altii joc de mine pe banii mei.

***Ce câştigă aceste site-uri? Păi nu foarte mult. Din anunţurile Google prezente pe aceste pagini pot primi maximum câteva sute de euro pe lună. Astfel, programe precum meciurile din Liga I la fotbal, pentru care consorţiul RCS&RDS - Antena 1 a plătit 85 de milioane de euro, plus TVA, pot fi recepţionate doar cu abonamentul la internet, care costă câteva zeci de lei.*** autor Catalin Cocoş.

Şi dacă le văd la televizor cu un abonament full RCS de 36 RON nu e aşa că mi se fîlfîie în continuare că au plătit fraierii ăia 85 milioane? Cum naiba funcţionează mintea aia a ta de jurnalist sau ce naiba te crezi că eşti? Ce logică foloseşti doar de dragul de a da cu scuipaţii pe cei care o freacă pe net? Pentru consumatorul final nu sînt cam aceeaşi bani dacă vede meciurile ălea băşite pe net sau pe cablu? Pentru articolul ăsta ţi-au dat numai un pachet început de biscuiţi de este aşa de prost? Înţeleg că trebuie luptat împotriva crimei organizate de pe net, dar nişte argumente n-ar strica...

Astfel, aflu de la Ciprian Coadă cum că "unii sunt atât de fraieri încât nici nu ştiu cu cine fac contractele, RDS sau UPC". Măi să fie. Dar tu de ce eşti pus măi dragă acolo? Nu să le explici? Nu! El e pus acolo să facă contracte bă băiatule.

"Io fac 20 de contracte pe zi frate şi restu abia fac 2-3. Se duc ăia apoi la casierii de la UPC şi îi înjură că nu au serviciile promise." Mda... astfel de angajaţi are RDS RCS. Dar vai, să nu subestimăm puterea unui Junior Sales care chiar şi la şedinţa pusă la cale de şefii complotişti au reuşit s-o scoată la capăt după o morală usturătoare a şefilor. "M-a luat ăla că domne' că plm... o morala mică aşa... şi aia a fost. Ce plm!"

Mi-e milă de toţi cei care au abonamente la RDS RCS şi dintr-un motiv sau altul au nevoie de ajutorul lor (inclusiv de mine mi-e milă).

As dori sa stiu de ce in Iasi, pentru a face loc pRosturilor GSP 1, 2  si cite or mai fi, s-au scos din grila AXN Crime si VH1. De ce nu s-au scos posturi precum ERT, Etno, Manele, Taraf sau cum se mai cheama acele posturi pentru persoane subdezvoltate? De ce nu mai sint in grila nici Telesport, The Money Channel sau Euronews?

Unde mama naibii am completat eu chestionar despre ce post vreau să văd? Unde sînt chestionarele alea? La casierii, cînd plătesc lunar cablul, nu sînt, pe site nu sînt, în scara blocului nu sînt. Deci de unde au scos-o pe asta? Cica „va  fi sau nu introdus si canalul  solicitat de dumneavoastra”; fraţiolor, eu nu am solicitat un canal anume, ci v-am adresat cîteva întrebări!

Deci ori mailul ăsta e generat de un roboţel cretin, ori e scris de un omuleţ cretin, ceea ce nu m-ar surprinde.

Liga I se reintoarce in televizoarele noastre de maine, 26 iulie, pe un canal de televiziune nou-nout. Trustul Antena, cel care a obtinut in totalitate drepturile de televizare a meciurilor din campionat, a creat alte 3 canale, unde vor putea fi urmarite in direct majoritatea meciurilor din Liga I. Aceste canale sunt redenumite dupa ziarul sportiv : Gazeta Sporturilor in mod sugestiv : GSP TV 1, GSP TV2 si GSP TV3 (nu stiam ca Voiculescu duce lipsa de imaginatie). De altfel se pare ca lansarea oficiala a postului GSP TV va avea loc asta-seara la ora 20 :00.

In timp ce cautam o poza pentru articol, gandindu-ma la Liga I Burger intru pe site-ul Ligii Profesioniste de Fotbal si nu mica imi e mirarea cand observ ca lipseste Burger-ul. Ba chiar mai rau, in locul ei este Frutti Fresh. Cum ma sa numesti Liga I Frutti Fresh?? Hai ca aia cu GSP 1,2,3 m-a lasat rece dar asta cu Liga I Frutti Fresh... da-o naiba de treaba ca nu mai pot de ras. Mi-e rusine cand ma gandesc ca voi privi la fotbal sponsorizat de Frutti Fresh (si eu care credeam ca am scapat de marca asta de kko).

Prima etapa a campionatului nu aduce nimic spectaculos, poate ca mai interesant va fi meciul de prezentare sustinut de Steaua Bucuresti impotriva echipei AS Roma. Meciul dintre Steaua Bucuresti si FC Vaslui va fi amanat pentru mierucri, 30 iulie, deoarece echipa moldoveana are de sustinut un meci important impotriva echipei Neftchi Baku (Azerbaidjan) in finala Cupei Intertoto. Echipa ce castiga aceasta finala va merge direct in turul 2 al Cupei UEFA.

Din cate am urmarit eu pe la stiri nu s-a realizat nici un transfer spectaculos in campionatul intern. Campioana Romaniei nu a facut decat sa transfere mai multi straini (sper ca Dragomir va baga o lege ce va interzice unei echipe sa foloseasca 11 jucatori straini pe teren pentru ca CFRul imi seamana tot mai mult cu Boavista...), Steaua a adus la echipa niste necunoscuti, Dinamo cam la fel, iar singura care mi se pare ca a facut ceva, ceva este Rapidul, al carei antrenor (daca nu va fi schimbat in primele 5 etape) va realiza performante in cupa UEFA (cel putin calificarea din grupe).

Va fi interesant de urmarit parcursul CFRului in Champions League si speram si al Stelei dar nici campionatul nu va fi neglijat. Sper ca lupta pentru titlu sa se dea pana in ultima etapa si cat mai mult pe teren. Ahhh... Nu stiu de ce tot incerc sa fiu impartial... mai ca ai zice ca tin cu Rapidul din ce ai citit pana acum insa nu ma mai pot ascunde... In vene imi curge sange ros-albastru, dar mai multe despre asta intr-un post viitor.

Ben zice: Mi se pare nelalocul ei ideea ta de limitare a numărul de străini. În primul rând, în UE piaţa locurilor de muncă e (în general) liberă, ceea ce înseamnă că un portughez are acelaşi statut ca un român - de unde şi opoziţia UE faţă de decizia aia aberantă a FIFA de acum câteva luni. În al doilea rând, care e problema ta? Dacă ţine de patriotism, nu uita că în Champions League, în dreptul CFRului (şi, să sperăm, al Stelei) o să scrie "România", aşa că nu văd cum te-ar leza faptul că au numai jucători străini. Dacă sunt buni, nu contează de unde sunt originari, nu?

Nu câştigaseră licitaţia împreună cu cei de la RCS?

De aici conflictul inevitabil intre Realitatea Catavencu si cei de la RCS....totusi se pare ca scoaterea celor doua programe din pachetul de baza al RCS nu a fost totala, sau cel putin din cate stiu eu...adica au fost persoane care au putut urmari aceste programe alaturi de GSP TV (nu includem aici abonatii RCS care au pachetul de baza plus alte optiuni)...

Acum cei de la RCS au ajuns la sentimente mai bune si au reintrodus cele doua canale in grila de pregrame si din cate se pare, ar putea ajunge si la un acord cu cei de la UPC pentru transmiterea programului GSP TV...pana la urma fotbalul trebuie sa fie liber si cat mai multa lume trebuie sa aiba acces la el, nu?

Iar acum dupa ce am terminat cu aceste rautacisme :P o sa va dezvalui cateva lucruri despre aceste emisiuni :)).. in premiera..... In cadrul Ligament invitat special va fi Mister Pompiliu Popescu care va transmite operatii live sau va avea interventii in direct din meniscul lui Radoi. Sorin Ovidiu Vantu: pai mai Cataline, acest Sorin Ovidiu Vantu este cel mai mare parnaist care se perinda prin libertate, un bisnitar jegos si nebarbierit, un infractor in adevaratul sens al cuvantului, tu stti asta, de fapt toata presa stie asta, dar nu prea vreti sa recunoasteti sau nu aveti curaj. Sorin Ovidiu Vantu este baiatul care si-a consolidat trustul media pe banii FNI. Un rahat de om, care in fata mea este ZERO.

3. Dan Voiculescu: Nu este painea lui Dumnezeu, nu pot sa spun ca acesta este Dalai Lama al Romaniei , dar macar Felix mai da un ban la oameni cu capacitati. Dan Voiculescu este unul dintre cei mai slabi oameni politici,  poate cel mai slab om politic, insa face acte de caritate si ar trebui sa stea in banca lui de om de afaceri.

Tragedie mare la români pentru că RCS a scos din grila de programe cele două posturi falimentare. Au făcut din două unul :)  - GSP TV. Mare brânză. 
Contracte  ciudate, semnate probabil între firme care nici nu există (sau  se află prin Belizee la vreo căsuţă poştală), au făcut ca lucrurile să stea în acest moment, cam aşa : Antena 1 va fi obligată să facă reclamă gratis postului de ştiri condus de SOV(Realitatea).

Hai că nu mă mai opresc din râs şi-mi aduc aminte de vorba aia : "Dacă nu vă plac programele noastre, schimbaţi pe OTV - DDTV, unde veţi afla în seara asta dacă Magda mai are o aluniţa pe picior sau i-a belit-o Tolea şi pe aia."

Compania de televiziune prin cablu RCS a dat o primă lovitură trustului de televiziune Realitatea, scotând din grila de programe două posturi ale trustului patronat de Sorin Ovidiu Vântu: Telesport şi Money Channel, pentru a le înlocui cu GSP TV, canal care va transmite meciuri din Liga 1 la fotbal.

Cele două companii se războiesc pe piaţa media, fiecare reuşind câte un boom până acum: RCS, alături de Antena 1, a obţinut drepturile de televizare ale meciurilor din Liga 1, iar Realitatea a semnat un contract de imagine cu LPF.

Realitatea a participat la licitaţia pentru meciurile de fotbal, dar a pierdut acest drept în favoarea parteneriatului dintre trustul Intact si RCS-RDS, iar la câteva zile după licitaţie a anunţat semnarea unui contract cu Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal. În urma acestei înţelegeri, Antena 1 va fi obligată să facă reclamă gratis postului de ştiri condus de Sorin Ovidiu Vantu.

Prima mişcare realizată de RCS este excluderea din grilă a două dintre posturile trustului Realitatea-Catavencu: canalul sportiv Telesport, ajuns de curând în curtea lui Vântu, şi The Money Channel, postul de business al trustului. Conform Onlinesport, şi un al treilea program al lui Vântu, Romantica TV, va fi în curând eliminat din grila RCS.

Ei azi dau drumul la tv si ce vad ? RCS-surioara tv a RDS si distribuitorul meu de cablu  a bagat in grila GSP TV. Reclame la greu : " Din 26 iulie blablabla... "

Explicaţia:

Primesc eu în cutia poştală minunata factură. Acolo, ca de obicei, figurez restant măcar o lună, dacă nu două, indiferent de cum fac eu ultimile plăţi. Asta cînd primesc factură, evident. Dau telefon la serviciul clienţi ca să aflu cam cum cred ei că ar trebui să plătesc de data asta. Acolo nu pot fi găsit după nici unul dintre următoarele criterii de căutare: nume, adresă, cod numeric personal, cod client, număr factură. Sînt invitat să îmi deplasez fizicul la vreun coteţ de lucru cu clienţii. En esperant revoir rapidement le RCS en Ligue 1 avec un nouveau stade, la Meinau ayant besoin d'un sérieux lifting, surtout comparé à son voisin le stade Bonal à Montbeliard, beaucoup plus confortable et moderne.

1.) ZACK GREINKE

• Greinke made a nice comeback last season as a starter and reliever after missing virtually all of 2006 with personal issues.  This season, Grienke has been solid as the stopper for a young Royals team that is still learning how to win.  Grienke has a 92-95 MPH heater with good action and a sharp slider and changeup.  Grienke doesn't turn 25 until after this season and with Daniel Cortes and Luke Hochevar set to join the rotation alongside Gil Meche and Brian Bannister, it is reasonable to think that the Royals will be a team to watch within the next season or two.  This bode's well for Greinke's RC's which can be found in the 2002 Bowman Chrome and Draft Picks set that are currently selling on Ebay for $2-2.50 each.  He also has an XRC Auto in the underrated UD Prospect Premieres set that sells for $15-20.  Although he is a pitcher and is subject to unpredictible progress, I would not be surprised to see Greinke become a 18-20 game winner soon.

RICKIE WEEKS

• Weeks has not turned into the superstar that the Brewers and everyone else thought he would when he was the 2nd pick of the 2003 MLB Draft.  Weeks has battled strikeouts and inconsistencies over his 3 year career.  This season, Weeks is hitting an abysmal .213 with 7 HR 22 RBI and 11 SB.  Rickie will turn 26 at the end of this season and will be entering the prime years of his career.  It remains to be seen as to whether or not Weeks will take that monumental step into superstardom that he once seemed to be destined to take.  Weeks' best RC's are autographed versions in the 2003 Bowman Chrome Draft and SPX sets.  The chromes sell for $20-22.50 and the SPX cards go for double that.  I am encouraged by Weeks' cutdown in strikeouts this year, he is on pace to score 100 runs for the second consecutive year while walking a career high 65 times.  The 2003 Bowman Chrome Draft set has seen some serious market love over the years like Delmon Young, Nick Markakis, Brandon Wood, Ryan Howard, and Jon Papelbon.  Why can't a post-hype prospect like Rickie Weeks be the next big offering from that set?

JEREMY HERMIDA

• Hermida enjoyed a successful first full season in 2007 hitting .296 with 18 HR and 63 RBI.  Hermida has had injury bugaboos over the last couple of season which has hampered his power production and market exposure.  This season Jeremy is hitting .271 with 8 HR and 38 RBI, but his strikeout rate is a bit of a concern to me (69 K's in 71 games).  Hermida plays in a weak collector's market and is not eligible to be a free agent until 2012.  However, I think that the Marlins will be in the playoff hunt all season and Hermida is going to be a key cog in that offense.  Jeremy's best cards, like Zack Greinke, can be found in the 2002 Bowman Chrome Draft and he also has and autographed XRC in the UD Prospect Premeires set.  The chromes sell for $3-4 each and the Prospect Premeires auto sells for $22-25.  At age 24, Hermida has several years to develop into the hitting savant that he profiled to be as a teen.

4.) COREY HART

• Hart broke out in his first full season with the Brew Crew hitting .295 with 24 HR 81 RBI and 23 SB.  Hart is 6-6 and 220 lbs, plays all 3 outfield positions and, at 25 years old is ready to enter the prime of his career.  Even more intriguing is the fact that Hart will be a free agent at the end of this season.  Will the Brewers resign him?  My gut tells me no, as they will sew more money into long term deals for Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, and J.J. Hardy while finding room for the bevy of prospects at AA like Matt LaPorta, Mat Gamel, Michael Brantley and Cole Gillespie.  If Hart signs a free agent deal with another team, it would seem likely that it will be in a more media-friendly market than Milwaukee.  This bodes well for his value on the open market.  Currently, Hart has his only first year cards in the 2002 Bowman and Chrome DP sets.  His regular chromes sell for between $2-3 each online with refractors selling at $12-15 each.  I think Hart will be wearing a different uniform by next season and he is on the cusp of having a 30/30 season.

5.) CARLOS QUENTIN

• Ok, so Quentin has found his way onto the radar with a major power surge on the south side of Chicago.  However, collectors haven't warmed to his cards as much as I think they will.  Quentin just hit his 19th HR last night and 40 dingers is not out of the question for this former 1st rounder.  Additionally, he has cut down his strikeouts and increased his walk numbers (41BB/44 K).  Injuries are always a concern with Quentin as his first few seasons in the major leagues have been filled with them.  He is healthy now and in the American League where he can DH if he is a little dinged up.  Quentin has several 2004 RC's with autographs in Bowman Sterling and Topps Chrome.  Each of these autos sell in the $20-22.50 range, which, to me, seems low for someone who could potentially be the AL homerun leader as soon as this season!  His Bowman Chrome cards sell for $3-4 each.  Quentin, like many of these other fine players, turns 26 near the end of this season and is primed to put up big numbers for the next 7-10 years.

BUY/SELL Analysis

Kila Kaaihue began the season off of Baseball America's top 30 prospect list for the Kansas City Royals.  While Kila's 2007 season was not spectacular (.248 21 HR 82 RBI), his control of the strike zone (76BB/78K) was very solid.  This season Kaaihue has shown continued improvement hitting .284 with 17 HR and 48 RBI.  Even more impressive is Kaaihue's 50BB/29K ratio.  The Royals have struggled to find a steady 1B in the post-Mike Sweeney era.  Kaaihue is a robust 6-4 233 lb. and bats left-handed.  At 24 yrs. old,  Kila has progressed slowly but steadily through the Royals system and should make his debut late this season or early next season.  Kaaihue has cards in the 2005 Bowman Chrome and Bowman's Best sets.  There hasn't been much action on his base cards, but his Blue Refractors have sold recently for about $10 each. 

Market Advice: Kaaihue is a low-mid level prospect who is playing for an improving organization.  I would BUY his serial #'ed chromes for 20-30% of Beckett value and sell at any price above that.  Long-term, the Royals will have better prospects filling the 1B and DH positions, but Kaaihue should get a brief window of time where collectors may notice him enough to learn to pronounce his name.

Daniel Cortes is the top pitching prospect in the Royals farm system and he is rapidly making his way to the major leagues.  Armed with a wicked 93-96 MPH fastball and sharp 12 to 6 curveball, Cortes is a 6-5 225lb horse who will soon join Zack Grienke and Luke Hochevar at the top of a very young and talented Kansas City Royal rotation.  Cortes may be the best of the bunch and he is making a strong case to get a look this September, with a 3.48 ERA and 58 K's in 54.1 IP.  Cortes has cards in the 2008 Bowman Chrome Prospects set and it seems reasonable to expect that he will have autographed issues in upcoming '08 sets (perhaps Sterling and Bowman Chrome).  As of now, his chromes sell for about 50-75 cents each and are available in bulk.  Even more alluring are his refractors (#'ed to 599) which sell for $4-6 each.  The fact that Cortes plays for the Royals system and has a pedestrian 2-3 record makes him an under the radar prospect that prospectors love.

Market Advice: Cortes will debut in September or next season and he will open eyes.  BUY BUY BUY any of his cards and keep your eyes peeled for autos in future 2008 products.  Cortes' ceiling is as high as any pitching prospect in the minors right now and I think the Royals are going to be a solid ball club next season.

Buy/Sell Analysis:

Brett Anderson was a 2007 2nd round selection of the Arizona Diamondbacksout of an Oklahoma HS, who was then traded to the Oakland A's in the blockbuster Dan Haren deal.  Anderson has a big workhorse-like frame and advanced command of his fastball, change, and two breaking pitches.  This season has been a bit up and down for the big southpaw.  In his last 10 outings he has won 3, then lost 3 (including an abysmal May 16th outing where he surrendered 8 runs in 0.1 innings), and then won another 3 games.  Anderson's cards are in the 2007 Bowman Chrome set.  He also has his first auto (#'ed to 549) in the popular Elite Extra set.  The Elite Extra autos sell for between $15-20 and his first year chrome cards can be had for about 75 cents to $1.25 in bulk.  Refractors of his are popular sellers right now selling as low as $7-9 for the regular ones and $16-20 for X-Fractors.  My personal feelings on Anderson is that he will be a mid-rotation lefty starter and there are other arms in the system that are flashier (Trevor Cahill, Craig Italiano, Fautino de los Santos) than his.  That being said, he is a solid bet to be a SP for the A's who just seem to funnel quality pitching into their rotation year after year. 

Market Advice: I don't see his autos growing much higher than their prices right now.  If you can get $20 for them, I would sell and shift those bucks to someone with higher upside.  As for the chromes, a batch of them at the above prices would be solid values.  I would stick to purchasing about $10-20 worth of his stuff as a "just in case" investment.

Brandon Allen is a prospect that I was very excited about when he came out in the 2004 Bowman Draft and Chrome set.  With a 6-2 235lb. frame and linebacker-like speed, Allen seemed to be a masher in the making.  Subsequently, he struggled mightily over his first 3 seasons with terrible plate discipline and so-so power numbers.  Last season at Kannapolis, he seemed to begin to turn things around, hitting .283 with 18 HR and 93 RBI.  This season, at High A Winston-Salem, Allen has improved his numbers across the board hitting .289 12 HR 37 RBI and 9 SB.  He still strikes out quite a bit (60K/65 games), but the walks are also increasing (36 at the midway point, compared to 39 all of last year).  That being said, Allen, despite his athleticism, is not a good fielder and will likely be relagated to 1B or DH in the major leagues.  Allen has first year autographed cards in the 2004 SP Prospects, and regular cards in the Bowman Chrome and Draft sets.  His autos are numbered to 500 and can be had for around $10 each.  His chrome cards are not sold in bulk very often, but can be had for 50 cents each.  I like the fact that Allen has improved steadily.  He is still a long way from Chicago, but I think he will make it.  Expect 25-30 HR from him this year, which should open the eyes of many collectors.

Market Advice: This is a guy to buy!  Grab as many autos of his from the SP Prospects set at $10-15.  Remember, SP Prospects cards have crazy value once players get recognized by the rest of the collecting masses.  While his chromes are hard to find in en masse quantities, you may have some success by talking to online dealers that you purchase from and asking them to check their inventories for any chrome Allens.  If you can get refractor versions, that is a bonus.  I would buy them freely at 25-50 percent of book.

Buy/Sell Analysis:

Lou Marson was a 4th round selection by the Phillies out of high school in 2004.  After 3 mediocre seasons, Marson stepped out last year to hit .288 with 7 HR and 63 RBI.  Along with the improvement at the plate, Marson's game also improved behind the dish.  This season, Marson has torn it up at AA hitting .356 with a stellar .469 OBP.  Marson has a line drive stroke and a smooth, easy swing.  Although he is in his 5th season in the minor leagues, Marson will only be 22 years old and there is still reason to believe that he can develop double digit power numbers.  It will be interesting to see if the Phillies decide to promote him to AAA.  Marson's best card is in the 2004 SP Prospects set.  He has an auto that is serial #'ed to 550.  There have not been many on Ebay within the last 2 weeks, and the market data that I have show that they are selling for about $20 each.  Marson also has cards in the 2004 Bowman Draft and Chrome, with the chrome versions selling for about $1 each.  Marson in my opinion, has the most upside of any catchers in the Phillies organization and, if he develops his line drive stroke into more power, he could hit 15-20 HR's in the hitter-friendly confines of Citizen's Bank Ballpark.

Market Advice:  Buy a batch of '04 chrome RC's, sell the SP Prospects Auto if it reaches $30.

Jamie Hoffmann is the "under the radar" prospect that card speculators like me love.  Hoffmann didn't even appear on Baseball America's top 30 L.A. Dodger prospects list for the 2008 season.  That being said, he is a 6-4 230lb. converted 3B who can play any outfield position.  Hoffmann hit .309 last season at High A Inland Empire with 9 HR 81 RBI and 19 SB.  His statline evokes thoughts of Milwaukee Brewer OF Corey Hart.  Similar to Hart, I think that Hoffmann's power production will increase as he continues to progress through the Dodgers' farm system.  It will have to, as Hoffmann, while very athletic, probably has a future as a corner OF at the ML level.  Hoffmann has cards in the 2006 Bowman and Chrome prospects and Bowman Heritage.  As he is not well known or highly regarded, Hoffmann's cards can be attained for very cheap prices and in bulk.  Note that on his cards, Hoffmann's name is misspelled (only one 'N') which could cause confusion in Ebay searches.  I would grab refractors of all kinds as they are all serial #'ed and can be found for cheap.  Hoffmann is really about two years away, but I think he will find his way onto the Dodgers' top propsect chart this season.

Market Advice: BUY BUY BUY, especially the serial #'ed versions and chromes.  Hoffmann will continue to improve and devlop his power.

Okay, so I exceeded my limit by 50 cents.  Maybe, I can swing a better deal on one of these items.  All these guys are pretty close to major league ready and they, in my opinion, have high ceilings that they have not yet approached.
