So this damn hurricane from the freakin' Gulf of DAMN Mexico has been sucking this week up (except for the marvelous day yesterday, but I wouldn't know b/c I was inside at work all day–i know some of you feel me).

Crappy weather aside, yes there is amazing football on all day today. But what are you doing to do when your ass gets sore from sitting on the couch too long? We've got you covered. I had a bit of a break today, though. We went to the Lewes Horticultural Show (or something to that effect) to take some photos for the newsletter or magazine that they want to produce with them. I would post some of them, but I don't have my camera cable with me. You can see them another day.

Fact: Nobody from Sarah Palin, or Oprah talked with each other to have Sarah on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Fact: Obama has been on her show twice. The first in 2005 after he took office as the first African American US Senator.

Fact: Oprah has been consistent with her decision to not have Candidates on her show.

Fact: Both of Obama's appearance were before he officailly announced his Presidential Campaign.

Does it on surface seem dubious? probably. Does it really matter? I dont think so, but then again i dont watch the Oprah Winfrey Show, or really give a flying flip about her political views.

Just the other day, one of my sisters turned 40. To me closing a decade and beginning a new one is a milestone marker. So, I celebrate them in a grand way. I tend to travel to far away places and meet new people, creating beautiful memories to remember time and time again when life gives me moments of sadness. When I asked what she decided to do to celebrate her big day, she nonchalantly told me she just went to work. I then wondered how often we take for granted our reasons to celebrate life. My sister just completed a decade of roller coaster rides, where she experienced tremendous soul growth. It may not seem to her now, but as an outsider looking in, I saw how far she traveled. She has gone through so much upheaval in her life, with tides of change coming to her left and right without letting up, and she came through it. So, when it was time to say goodbye to those long years of struggle, having a birthday to mark that decade turned out to be just another day.

At what point in time do we stop celebrating our achievements, our triumphs, our accomplishments? Have we become so jaded from our challenges that we do not recognize when the sun finally shines upon us? But then again, I am looking at my sister's circumstances from my point of view, that perhaps she does celebrate her milestone markers and prefers to go through life one day at a time, no highs or lows, but just to be.

...surely not! Some are reporting that Oprah may be taking sides in the political arena. "Oprama" has been very public about her affiliation with the Obama campaign and has had him on her show twice. It seems odd to me that Oprah, being such an inspiration to women, wouldn't want to showcase Palin being the first female nominee on the republican ticket...ever. Oh well, we all knew Oprama was gonna roll like that...

Aos poucos, vide nota anterior, a sociedade vai apercebendo-se que, apesar de ser “invisível”, o software pode afetar o nosso dia a dia de maneiras inusitadas e indesejadas.

Pelo que indica o texto, aparentemente, os engenheiros de software deixaram de considerar alguns requisitos não-funcionais. Certamente o contra argumento será o de que o número de acessos foi inesperadamente grande. Será que o trabalho de engenharia de requisitos foi devidamente levado adiante de maneira a vislumbrar a demanda reprimida do show da cantora?

Como sabemos,  de longa data, requisitos mal construídos acarretam custos altos e impactos indesejáveis. O fenômeno recente é que a sociedade está sendo informada que “software” existe e que deve ser construído  com cuidado.

Mais uma razão para que tenhamos uma preocupação central na educação dos engenheiros de software. Afinal software está e estará, cada vez mais, presente em nosso dia a dia.

Basically it's "The Devil Wears Prada" turned into a reality show, where the contestants compete towards getting a job as a junior editor.

This is gonna be way over the top, isn't it?
